The thesis contains a table as a specific space, which connotes different meanings in the context of contemporary events. The theoretical part refers thus to the social relations, which are part of both public and private - family space in which a table plays its essential role. Not only as a subject form of everyday life, which is linked to a personal experience, but also as a form of symbolic expression. A table is kind of bearer of communication, message. This will be supported not only via etymological and sociological analysis, but also by the analysis of selected works of art. It is a way to inspect this phenomenon in the aforementioned context. The aim of this study is to show - through fine arts, historical and sociological relations - the view of a table as a continuously interconnected complex, through which it is possible to better realize some family ties and social events, including contemporary needs and priorities.. Terminology in Visual Arts in a large bilingual dictionary

This given thesis addresses the terminology of Visual Arts in the large bilingual dictionary and provides a reflection on the problem of terminology. The thesis is divided into two parts: theoretical and practical. The theoretical part gives definitions of language for special purposes, language for general purposes, term, terminology, synonymy, equivalence or terminological dictionary. The second part of the thesis analyses the given dictionary entries of the Visual Arts from the linguistic, terminological and lexicographical point of view in the large bilingual dictionary.
Animation and Animated Film in Art Education

The thesis deals with the use of animated films in art education. It presents animation as a modern and accessible form of education which stimulates children's creativity, social and communication skills and their ability to teamwork. It describes the positive potential of animation in education as well as some problematic issues and their feasible solutions. The author builds on the best practise of Czech and foreign teachers and practitioners of the education of animation but also on her own experience in the field. The text is supplemented by a blog website that makes the experience accessible to teachers interested in the topic and to the general public. The New York School Poets and Visual Arts: The Poetry of John Ashbery and Frank O'Hara The poetry of the New York School poets is highly influenced by visual art; the poets, such as Frank O'Hara, John Ashbery, Kenneth Koch and John Schuyler, were affected mainly by Abstract Expressionism, Surrealism, Cubism and Dada. The reason why visual art had such a strong effect on their poetry is that the painters of the New York School dominated the art world, they set the trends, and poets and musicians followed them. Also, visual art played a major role in the lives of the poets as many of them were art critics and they often collaborated with the artists. The thesis focuses on two of the New York School poets, O'Hara and Ashbery, as the influence of visual art in their poetry is most prominent in comparison to the other New York School poets. O'Hara mainly uses the techniques of Abstract Expressionism and he is mostly interested in the art of Jackson Pollock. O'Hara's poems carry immediacy and they are based on the expression of the present moment. The focus on the present parallels with the techniques of action painting which channels the artist's self and emotions. Music as an Inspiration in Art Education

This thesis is focused on an interconnection of two disciplines within the frame of art lessons given at primary school. It investigates a musical and creative context (contemporary and historical) and its interaction and influence on each other. It concentrates on changes of musical and art comprehension from a time point of view, when old opinions and perceptions penetrate from the past to the present. The scope of this thesis is based on an extensive study of classical theories data and analyses of the qualitative research. Through all the document references and research data are mentioned to underline mutual relations and coherency between individual theoretical texts. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part deals with theoretical research and possible interconnection of musical and art disciplines and it also deals with presentation of functions and changes of these disciplines. It elaborates a relative correlation of musical and art language and it also outlines their development and tendencies, including a description of outstanding artists and an explanation of important terms related to their works. Diploma thesis is focused on thematic antithesis Madonna and Pieta and the modifications of its depictures in medieval art. The intention of work is to present theoretical knowledges of art history in kontext with art education and to describe the limits od educational work with religious topics. The first part presents the concept of cultural christianity and its position in czech curiculum. The second part presents historical study focused on iconografy of Madonna and Pieta, and the modifications of Madonna and Pieta in medieval ithalian painting in 13th and 14th century. On the knowledges of theoretical study is based educational project for grammar school students. Vizual problems of this the project are tested in specific artistic work.
