Frame of trailer CHTP18 for the platform-type body

The subject of this master’s thesis is strength analysis of trailer frame, for platform placed goods and palletized goods transport. Strength analysis is made by the finite element method. This thesis describes design of a frame, finite element model creation and results analysis. On the basis of this results, the structural modification with a stress state calculation are suggested.

Improvement in the System Quality of Toll’s Withdrawal in The Czech Republic

The subject of this thesis “Improvement in the system quality of toll’s withdrawal in The Czech Republic” is to look into the problems of toll’s electronic withdrawal. The First part of the thesis describes the taxation quotas on the basis of a microwave technology, relevant legislative, troll’s outcomes, and work of the Czech Customs Administration as a control body and contains an evaluation of the electronic troll system with its advantages and disadvantages. The Second part states theoretical solutions as the EU legislative, which states a traffic policy strategy and a tax withdrawal for using the roads. Further on, it analyses the options of the troll’s electronic withdrawal on the basis of a microwave and satellite system in particular countries. The Third part focuses on its own solutions, which aim is to increase the users’ comfort while using this system. The Fourth part focuses on the benefits of the ideas for solutions stated in the part Three.

The bachelor thesis deals with the issues of toll collection in the road network. The first part of the work describes the established tolling methods and focuses on volume-distance tolling. It deals with electronic toll collection systems and the microwave toll technology used in the Czech Republic. The second part focuses on the fees charged for use of road network, function of the Customs Administration and telematic systems. The third part centers on the extension of toll to second- and third-class roads and the costs of implementation and managment of toll collection. The fourth part of the work discusses the issues and evaluation of the system of implementation, extension and collection of toll.
The importance of inland waterway transport for European international trade focused on Port of Bratislava

The thesis investigates the significance, development as well as the future prognoses of the European trade within the scope of inland waterway transport. The aim of the thesis is to describe the present condition of the European international inland waterways and their freight traffic efficiency. The practical part of the thesis is aimed at describing the actual state of Port of Bratislava including its historical meaning. This part of the thesis is targeted at the importance of the Port within the frame of the Rhine-Main-Danube waterway. The chapters involve the significance of the transloading of freight for Slovak exports and imports as well as the actual projects intended for the development of the port. The output of the thesis is the SWOT analysis of the Port of Bratislava, which is based on the gained knowledge and facts described in the thesis. The aim of the SWOT analysis is to evaluate the strengths, the weaknesses as well as the opportunities and the threats.
Evaluation and strategy recommendation of financial management of company Advanced World Transport a.s.

The aim of this bachelor thesis is a complex evaluation of financial health and financial management of the company Advanced World Transport a.s. in years 2009 - 2014. This company is mainly engaged in rail freight transportation. The first part of this bachelor thesis is devoted to theoretical aspect. There a variety of techniques and methods that are used for financial analysis and part for strategic analysis will be outlined. The second part focuses on the practical application of these methods to the available financial statements and annual reports. This part first looks at absolute indicators which will follow up with ratios indicators. In the ratios analysis the comparison between Advanced World Transport a.s. and industry will be included. The third part of this bachelor thesis focuses on the final evaluation of financial management of the company and specific recommendations, leading to the improvement of the financial strategy.
Intermodal transport systems and their spatial distribution in Europe

The main topic of the presented Bachelor Thesis is the description of systems of intermodal transport and the analysis of their distribution in Europe on the basis of factors of localization. In the theoretical part before the analysis itself, their general characteristic is described along with the terminological concepts and the definitions which accompany them together with their partial segmentation. In the theoretical part, historical development and their qualitative and quantitative changes are also discussed. The last topic of the theoretical part is the current role of these intermodal systems in the CzechRepublic. On the basis of expert knowledge, data from discussion with literature and internet resources, the analytical part of the thesis contains the analysis of intermodal terminals and the factors of localization determining their geographical position. This Bachelor Thesis can be considered to be a concept of a complete view of intermodal transport in Europe. The topic of the systems of intermodal transport is really extensive therefore it is not possible to provide a detailed description limited in scope, particularly the analysis of intermodal transport in the whole Europe. The primal emphasis is placed on the comprehensive outline of intermodal systems in Europe and this qualification work is exclusively written from the geographical view.
Innovation of information system in rail freight transport in the Czech Republic

This thesis deals with innovations in freight transport, especially from the perspective of information and communication technologies. It identifies key strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and threats in an implementation of innovations. Its main contribution is the linking of current informatics trends with specific trends of the rail freight sector in the Czech Republic in relation to the regulation and harmonization of the European Union. One of the important objectives of today's enterprise informatics is support of the strategic management. Based on the test the validity of the working hypothesis, according to which companies in the rail freight don't use strategic management tools enough, it makes recommendations for innovation in the sector. The thesis also briefly presents some innovative applications of Czech IT developers. It is a comprehensive material from which the Chief information officer (CIO) can get basic orientation in the rail freight sector. It may also serve as an inspiration for companies that want to enter the market, or are already operating on it and want to achieve competitive advantage through innovation.
Road and railway transport infrastructure in the Czech Republic

The thesis focuses on transport infrastructure in the Czech republic. Its aiming at road, railway and combined infrastucture.It analyzes its current situation and short historical development. There is analysis focused on the density of infrastructure in european conditions and national regions in Czech Rep. Further, it analyzes the transport overload on chosen roads. Sugested solution is to move the road freigth to railway through combined transportation. Cost savings coming from lower reconstruction costs are calculated as well. In the end, there is proposal about implementation of combined transport in the region as a regional logistic center.

This thesis deals with modes of transport and their impact on the environment. The theoretical part of this thesis deals with fossil fuels and their impact on the environment, emission that are produced and alternative fuels. The theoretical part also describes how emissions at different transport mode are regulated. The practical part consists of comparison of specific transport modes, regarding of emissions produced.
