Remote and passive speech monitoring application
Klimeš, Jiří ; Mikulec, Marek (referee) ; Kováč, Daniel (advisor)
Motor speech disorders in patients with Parkinson’s disease collectively referred to as hypokinetic dysarthria, occur in the early phase of the disease. Language plays an essential role in classifying speakers into healthy and those with dysarthria. Author explains which aspects of speech are most often affected. Then explains how mobile applications work on the Android operating system, and if it is possible to use them in passive and distant speech monitoring. Then the topic of voice call recording is described and how is it possible to implement this solution. Such application is then designed and partially developed.
Use of fitness applications of mobile phones in leisure time physical activities of students in selected high school
BENEŠ, Jonáš
This graduation thesis deals with the use of mobile phone applications designed to support the physical activities of high school students and the extent to which affect physical activities in their leisure time. The first part of the thesis deals with theoretical knowledge about leisure time, adolescence and its problems, physical activity and mobile technologies. The second part of the thesis deals with research, which included students of a selected high school in České Budějovice. The research group consists of students of a higher level of a multi-year high school. Finding out to what extent students use mobile phone applications designed to support physical activities and to what extent it affects physical activities in their free time was done using an anonymous questionnaire and selected fitness application. The data were further processed using descriptive statistics and the measured values of the average number of steps from the two periods were compared with each other.
Mobile applications and CLIL method in Biology classes
Valtrová, Pavlína ; Kotvaltová Sezemská, Karolína (advisor) ; Chlebounová, Irena (referee)
This thesis deals with CLIL method and usage of mobile applications in Biology classes. CLIL stands for "Content and Language Integrated Learning". It is a teaching method that combines foreign language and other subject; in this case it is English and Biology. Not only CLIL helps with improvement of communication skills but also pupils accomplish higher level both in speaking and listening. The main goal of this thesis is to find out if this method is convenient for pupils of primary school. I designed 5 lesson plans that combine CLIL and usage of mobile phone. In addition, I created a worksheet for every class (A4 size, 2 pages). The lessons are focused on following topics: universe, food relations, cell biology, fungi biology and invertebrates. All the lessons are designed for the 6th grade of primary school. Each worksheet is for one lesson and uses different mobile application. Every worksheet comes with different mobile application. The biggest advantage of cell phone is its availability, because almost everyone has got one. Research has shown that it leads to higher variability within the class. Also, it leads to higher motivation, so pupils are more active. The main objective of this work is to ascertain how usage of cell phone impacts the learning process. The research was realized in a...
Identification of Mobile Applications in Encrypted Traffic
Snášel, Daniel ; Burgetová, Ivana (referee) ; Matoušek, Petr (advisor)
The work focuses on the identification of mobile applications in encrypted traffic based on TLS fingerprints. The aim of the work was to create an architecture for obtaining selected attributes from TLS  connection handshake, to create TLS fingerprints and their comparison. Emphasis was placed on the accuracy of individual metrics, the quality of selected attributes and on the determination of the  threshold T comparison, which was ultimately set at  75 %. A total of ten attributes were selected from the TLS connection handshake, such as IP address, Cipher Suite, Server Name Indication, the size of the first ten packets and more. Accurate, substring and index comparisons were chosen to compare individual attributes. The total similarity of the two TLS fingerprints is then calculated as the weighted sum of the matches of the individual attributes. The resulting architecture allows you to compare TLS application fingerprints from the created dataset with newly created fingerprints from encrypted communication, and thus identify the applications. It also allows manual or automatic learning of new applications from the compared file, or updating of known TLS fingerprints of applications in the dataset.
Creation of geoinformatical system for mobile devices
Jakl, Michal ; Čábelka, Miroslav (advisor) ; Kříž, Jan (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to design and create a complex community geoinformatical system for mobile devices with Android OS. The first part presents currently available software tools, with an emphasis on user friendliness and minimal financial costs. The following sections deal with design of client-server system, selection and processing of data into databases and creating algorithms, ensuring the entire system. Emphasis is also placed on optimalization for mobile devices, bilingualism and user friendliness. The practical outcome and application of ideas from previous parts of this work is the creation of a mobile application DoPřírody!, which allows outdoor users to search the database of natural areas (parks, forests, cemeteries and others) and also is able to navigate the shortest route to the selected destination in real time. For registered users it is possible to rate, comment and edit existing areas and add new ones. The conclusion contains comparation with large map servers, the results of publishing application on the Google Play website and conclusions of testing in the community of users. Keywords: Android, network analysis, server, database, nature, mobile applications
Use of Modern Technologies in Physical Education at Schools
Palička, Pavel ; Fialová, Ludmila (advisor) ; Mužík, Vladislav (referee) ; Bureš, Vladimír (referee)
Pavel Palička - Use of Modern Technologies in Physical Education at Schools Abstract Problem: The use of digital technologies in education is one of the possibilities how to support the pupils' motivation. Physical education (PE) offers a variable environment where various types of actual wearable technology (smart phone, tablet etc.) can be used. No integrated overview of possibilities and practical recommendations for the use of available digital technologies (DT) in physical education has been published. There is also lack of research results measuring impact of their use on everyday school practice. Hypothesis: It was hypothesized that pupils who receive innovated experimental education programme using digital technologies will have better relationship to PE and greater intrinsic motivation to exercise. Objective: The purpose of this study was to identify changes in intrinsic motivation and relationship to physical activity in physical education triggered by an experimental DT- involving education programme. Methods: The research was carried out in form of a quasi-experiment conducted in physical education lessons in school years 6-9. The research sample (N=237) consisted of two groups. A group of 119 pupils in experimental lessons was compared with a control group of 118 pupils who went through...
