Media education and digital literacy of blind high school students

The paper addresses issues of media education in blind high-school students, especially in the topical context of digital media. The theoretical part devotes to problems of education of visually impaired persons. Next, concern the subsumption of media education as a cross- sectional subject into Czech primary and high-schools education. This part is also concerned with specific digital media and extensive opportunities of its utilization for visually impaired persons. In the experimental part of the paper, discrete components of digital literacy of sightless high-school students are analysed. The method of focused (semi-structured) interviews was selected. Interviews were executed with ten visually impaired high-school students and subsequently analysed with the help of qualitative content analysis. The aim of the paper is to give a notice on dependence of blind people to digital media and its specifics and, in this conjunction, emphasise the importance of media education.
Further teacher's education in the area of digital skills from the perspective of educational management

The diploma thesis deals with the topic of further education of teachers in the field of digital competencies from the perspective of educational management. This subject was chosen not only of its topicality, but also due to the strategic dimension of further education of teachers and their digital skills, which reflect the key documents of MŠMT. The theoretical part of the diploma thesis focuses on theses related to educational management, further education of teachers and ends with a chapter dealing with digital competencies. The research part of the diploma thesis pays attention to the offer and demand of further education of teachers and the reflection of digital competencies of teachers through qualitative research and data analysis. Specifically, the research survey consists of semi- structured interviews conducted with primary school teachers in the capital city of Prague, analysis of data from the Teacher's digital competences framework and analysis of selected websites collecting the offer of further education of teachers. The Bachelorthesis"Children and the internet- safety and impactof virtualreality"focuses on the relationship of smaller children, more specifically the primary school pupils, with the internet, as well as the views and educational practices of their parents. The thesis examines the influence of the virtual world on their psychological and physical health,i.e.the impacton weight, vision,and posture.Regardingpsychologicalinfluences,itfocuses on depression, aggression, and lack of sleep. The thesis aim is to describe children's behaviour online and to point out the potential threats posed by this virtual space. The level of digital competencies in the area Safety for students of secondary schools

This thesis researches and maps the development of the level of digital competencies in the area Safety during the four-year studies of students and corresponding years of multi-year grammar schools who complete their secondary school leaving examination. The introductory part of the thesis defines the corresponding competencies and definitions of terms that are directly related to the problematics, especially: literacy (digital, information), competencies (digital), etc. From these competencies are specified those that are directly related to Safety. This is followed by an analysis and mapping of national and international researches of the level and development of pupils' digital competencies. The research part of this thesis includes concept, realizationd and evaluation of data of research survey. The goal of research survey is determination of level of given competencies of pupils and the impact of education on their develompent. Based on the results of the research survey, factors are identified that have a direct impact on the development of these competencies in examined secondary school students. This diploma thesis has a form of a case study focused on the area of digital literacy and digital education in Zlín region. The main goal of this diploma thesis is to map the situation in digital literacy and digital education in Zlín region, pointing out the diversity between other regions where possible. Another goal is to point out the negative impact that low level of this literacy can have on our lives and what factors influence digital literacy the most. In the end I would like to discuss some future views and goals that Zlín region has in this area of education. In the conclusion of this thesis I would like to discuss the problematic parts in digital education if it comes to any and what could be helpful in development of digital literacy and digital education.
Use of ICT Technologies in the Biology Teaching

This diploma thesis deals with the practical use of information and communication technologies in the educational process, especially in the teaching of biology. It is divided into theoretical, research and creative parts; In the introduction, the theoretical part defines the key concepts related to the issue, further maps the development of educational strategies in the context of ICT, summarizes and points out the possible pros and cons of using digital technologies in the school environment and provides a list of selected ways to use technology practically at school. The research part of the thesis deals with the opinions and attitudes of Czech teachers of natural history or biology at different types of schools in the area of using ICT technologies with a focus on the above mentioned subjects. The research was carried out in the form of a questionnaire survey, which was attended by 168 respondents across the Czech Republic. The creative part is based on the results of the research part of the work and presents the educational program Virtual around the School, which brings together all the materials for teaching a specific topic - systematic plant biology using digital technologies. This program was piloted in November 2019 in cooperation with Petra Strozziho Primary School in Prague.

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of digital technologies in relation to toddler children, analysis of differences in education and approach of their parents. The theoretical part defines terms such as digital literacy, digital technology, parent, toddler and others, which is closely related to the topic, mentions their brief characteristics and evokes connections between them. It introduces the reader to the developmental specifics of the toddler's child and presents different styles of attitudes of parents and educators to the current nature of digital media and the subsequent impact on the chosen age group. Based on the comparison of used literature and deeper exploration of the topic, the thesis confirms the chosen hypothesis, which is the starting point for the practical task. The practical part is focused on application-didactic work, where we find a list of suitable recommendations, available programs and applications, which are a guide for parents and educators who are not fully oriented in the risks and consequences of using current digital technologies, especially the target group of children in the pre-stage. entering pre-school education.
