Creating a Simplified CAD Model of the Engine Using Reverse Engineering Method
Koten, Stanislav ; Svída, David (referee) ; Beran, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the creation of a simplified CAD model of the engine using 3D digitizing for installation in the car with a tubular frame. The first part describes the issue of reverse engineering, the second part is devoted to the description and function of the optical measuring system GOM ATOS company and the final section describes the scanning geometry of the engine, after-treatment of polygonal mesh and creating a custom 3D model using Autodesk Inventor 2013.
Realization of a structured light 3D scanner
Přikryl, Matouš ; Brablc, Martin (referee) ; Adámek, Roman (advisor)
The beginning of the thesis presents 3D scanner types. Following part describes how the structured light 3D scanners works. It takes into the account whole scanning process and adress problems like calibration, optical triangulation, or surface reconstruction of 3D objects. The second half of the thesis is focused on the implementation of simple 3D scanner, using Machatronics laboratory hardware. It also describes scanners behaviour in different conditions.
Automated System for Components Scanning
Hřib, Jan ; Boštík, Ondřej (referee) ; Jirgl, Miroslav (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to design an automated scanning system for components for the purpose of inspecting their dimensions and tolerances. The theoretical introduction provides the reader with basic information on the topic of 3D scanning. The work also includes the design of own scanning system. The greatest attention is paid to the design of a program using the PCL library. The aim of the program is automatic processing of data from a 3D scanner and evaluation of the required dimensions of the scanned component. The final part of the work is devoted to testing the proposed solution.
Measurement and evaluation of the inserts using an optical scanner
Vanek, Richard ; Šrámek, Jan (referee) ; Marek, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on problematics of scanning damaged press dies by an optical 3D scanner. The bachelor thesis starts with a description of 3D scanning, its use in various branches of industry as well as defects that can occur during scanning. This work provides an overview of the methods of 3D scanning and 3D scanners. Another part of the bachelor thesis deals with the procedure of scanning a damaged press die using the optical scanner STEINBICHLER COMET LED 5M followed by processing the acquired data and creating a 3D CAD model. In the final part, the bachelor thesis focuses on comparing and evaluating the obtained data.
3D scanning of glossy surfaces
Zeman, Jakub ; Zatočilová, Aneta (referee) ; Koutecký, Tomáš (advisor)
The goal of this bachelor thesis is to experimentally determine the impact of different concentrations of titanium matte coating on the properties of matte film covering glossy surface intended for 3D scanning. Theoretical part of the thesis contains brief introduction to the 3D digitization of real objects as well as more detailed description of the particular scanning method used in this thesis and summary of possible digitizing errors and existing knowledge about matte coatings. The practical part composes of applying the titanium matte coating on specimens using automated coating device thus maintaining the exact same conditions for all concentrations. Following measurement of specimens using 3D scanner and optical profilometer results in determining the optimal concentration of titanium coating providing the best properties of the matte film.
Research 3D scanner for scanning of problematic surfaces
Bátrla, Martin ; Mendřický, Radomír (referee) ; Koutecký, Tomáš (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with design of 3D scanner for scanning problematic surfaces. The research part introduces the problem of 3D scanning and describes causes of random errors. Further, it contains a description and division of methods that leads to their elimination. The practical part of the thesis deals with design and description of hardware and software parts of the 3D scanner. The output of this work is device that is able to implement and compare quality of codification methods mainly for scanning of problematic surfaces. The functionality of equipment was verified by experimental measurement.
Increase of Charging Efficiency of 140kW CNG Engine
Hadrava, Martin ; Vančura, Jan (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
The master’s thesis is focused on flow analysis work filling in turbocharged CNG engine. The research method is reverse engineering. The intake canal is casted and than scanned by 3D Scanner ATOS. The CAD model is created in program Creo Parametric 2.0. In the created interactive model is simulated flow in the CFD program Star CCM +. The air intake system is modified for increasing the charging efficiency of the engine.
Rotational 3D scanner
Švehla, Ľubomír ; Polák, Ladislav (referee) ; Kaller, Ondřej (advisor)
The point of this project is to design and construct a rotational 3D scanner. It is both about the hardware and software part. Low construction price is important factor in the hardware part and therefore the hardware part is really simple. Software part is solved by the FFmpeg tool and programming environment MATLAB. From the selected number of frames from the synchronized video the irradiated part is segmented. Consequently by compositing these traces a 3D model is gained. To gain a better result, the program uses two cameras. Program can be fully controlled from GUI.
Reconstruction of Human Hand Surface for the Purpose of Biometric Recognition of Persons
Svoboda, Jan ; Drahanský, Martin (referee) ; Dluhoš, Ondřej (advisor)
The goal of this work is to create a device and design an algorithm for the recostruction of human hand surface for the purpose of biometric recognition of persons. First of all existing approaches to human hand surface reconstruction are introduced. Subsequently the theoretical base of the methods used in the solution is shown. Also, the device con- struction is presented in more detail to the reader. After that the reconstruction algorithm implementation is described. In the end, experiments and results are presented.
3D Scanning with Proximity Planar Scanner
