Philosophy of Sport
MAREŠ, Lukáš
This bachelor thesis is concerned with physical activities in ancient Greece, specifically in time of philosophers Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle. Emphasis is put on presenting a broad historical framework, especially because physical activities were closely connected with other areas of human life, namely with religious cult and philosophical questioning. It is the relationship between sport and philosophy which has the major attention. The main task of this thesis consists in presenting physical activities as the important part of the competitive culture in ancient Greece. Described, explained, and compared are fundamental principles and ideals of ancient Greek sport. Special attention is given to its role in educational process. In this sense, physical activities are presented as a suitable instrument for both physical and mental formation of man. Through bodily exercises, individuals were able to achieve higher dimensions of reality, acquire certain virtues, and consequently realize their own potential. Because of these and many other reasons, physical activities in ancient Greece can be a valuable source of inspiration also for people of today. This thesis tries to present them exactly in this way.

Optimization of the permanent magnet machine based on the artificial inteligence
Kurfűrst, Jiří ; Duroň,, Jiří (referee) ; Singule, Vladislav (referee) ; Ondrůšek, Čestmír (advisor)
The dissertation thesis deal with the design and the optimization of the permanent magnet synchronous machine (SMPM) based on the artificial intelligence. The main target is to apply potential optimization methods on the design procedure of the machine and evaluate the effectiveness of optimization and the optimization usefulness. In general, the optimization of the material properties (NdFeB or SmCo), the efficiency maximization with given nominal input parameters, the cogging torque elimination are proposed. Moreover, the magnet shape optimization, shape of the air gap and the shape of slots were also performed. The well known Genetic algorithm and Self-Organizing migrating algorithm produced in Czech were presented and applied on the particular optimization issues. The basic principles (iterations) and definitions (penalty function and cost function) of proposed algorithms are demonstrated on the examples. The results of the vibration generator optimization (VG) with given power 7mW (0.1g acceleration) and the results of the SMPM 1,1kW (6 krpm) optimization are practically evaluated in the collaboration with industry. Proposed methods are useful for the optimization of PM machines and they are further theoretically applied on the low speed machine (10 krpm) optimization and high speed machine (120 krpm) optimization.

Toolbox for the cooperation of MATLAB and external simulation programs
Moravec, Petr ; Sekanina, Lukáš (referee) ; Oliva, Lukáš (advisor)
In this Master's thesis scripting interface of two programs CST Microwave studio and Ansoft HFSS for the purpose of analysis of electromagnetic structures is described. The work is focuses control of these programs with help of scripting languages and system's interface of MS Windows XP. Next the process of connecting programs with MATLAB is shown on commented scripts together with an example of complete analysis of a chosen problem, and the import and export of results results in MATLAB. Further the functions which form programming interface between MATLAB and simulation programs are designed and implemented. The interconnection layer makes the complete control of simulating programs possible using the function description published in the official documentation of used simulation programs. The layer is described in reference manual in detail and it is used for optimization with use of Particle swarm optimalization (PSO) of planar antenna model. Then there is presented another usage of the layer for an implementation of global optimization methods - SOMA and DE including suggestion of process for comparison efficiency of optimization algorithms on simple electromagnetic models.
