Arbitration proceeding in Czech and Slovak Republic The topic of this thesis is arbitration proceeding in Czech and Slovak Republic. If the part of introduction and conclusion is not included, the thesis is divided into eight main chapters which are further systematically divided into other subchapters. In the first chapter dedicated to the concept and characteristics of arbitration the author focuses on sources and - with regard to the title of this work - the greatest attention is paid to the Contract concluded between Czech and Slovak Republic on legal cooperation. Furthermore the deal of this part is a relation between arbitration and civil proceeding and alternative dispute resolution. This chapter describes - among other issues - the types of arbitration, namely deals with the severance onto ad hoc and institutional arbitration, including comparison with Slovak law. In the following chapter the author deals with the advantages and disadvantages of arbitration but with the difference that he deals with these examples more broadly considering that individual attributes may not always be perceived in black and white, ie. it may not always be an advantage but should be viewed more comprehensively. Management and satisfaction of judges in the Czech Handball Federation

Title: Leading and satisfaction of referees in Czech Handball Federation Objectives: The main aim of this thesis is to illustrate the current structure of referees' management in the Czech Handball Federation and to determine the satisfaction of the referees and the governing bodies with the existing system. Methods: In order to meet the stated goals, quantitative research methods are used, namely electronic questioning of referees. Furthermore, qualitative research, including an in-depth interview of a member of the Referee Commission of the Czech Handball Federation. Results: The results showed small gaps in both satisfaction and refereeing system, which were supplemented by recommendations for improvement of the current situation at the last part of the thesis. The development of Dagmar Damkova's media image in 2003-2017

The main topic of this diploma thesis is the development of Mrs. Dagmar Damková media image between 2003-2017. Mrs. Damková is a former football referee and became the first woman who managed a football match in the Czech 1st Men's League in 2003. She has been professionally successful and popular with the public and the media in a purely male environment. She has become one of the world's best female referee and has been managing the prestigious games of the biggest foreign events. She ended her career as a referee in 2011 and began her new career path as a functionary. Besides this, she became a chairwomen of the Committee of the Referees of the Football Association of the Czech Republic. She was directly responsible for the actions of the referees, and was therefore often criticized by the media. Her relationship with the influential but controversial functionary Roman Berbr was also known to the public at that time, which has increased the interest of her person from the media. Mrs. Damková had withdrawn from the public after leaving the Refereeing Commission and the media did not refer to her so often. Communication between the referee, the player and the coach in ice hockey

Title: Communication between referee, player and trainer in ice-hockey. Objectives: The main task of this thesis is to compare angles of view of the communication between referee, the player and the trainer from the view of all three sides. Another task is to create ideal methodical recommendations as to how such comunication should look. Methods: Bachelor thesis was conceived as a quantitative research using the questionnaire survey with elements of qualitative evaluation of the data. An open and closed questions was used to compile the anonymous questionnaire. Status of professional sportsmen and referees from the perspective of personal income tax

The thesis deals with the issue of legal status of professional sportsmen performing collective sports and professional referees active in collective sports from the perspective of personal income tax. This issue is now vividly discussed in relation with a recent judgment of the Supreme Administrative Court from 17th July 2017, case no. 6 Afs 278/2016. The objective of this thesis is to analyse the potential status of a professional sportsman and a referee and subsequently, depending on this status, analyse opportunities of taxation of their incomes according to the relevant national legislation and the Supreme Administrative Court's case law. The key question is whether the sportsman and referee should be regarded as an employee in accordance with the Income Tax Act or as a self - employed person. Partial objective of the thesis is to assess whether current practice in the Czech Republic corresponds with the legislation or as the case may be suggest an acceptable solution which would reflect the needs of professional sport with respect to the current circumstances in the Czech sports. 1 The purpose of this thesis is to discuss the main aspects of the Czech legal regulation of the arbitration proceeding under the view of the particular Western European national and international legal orders. By doing so, the author strives for critical review of the arbitration proceeding as per the Czech legal order under the worldwide perspectives and with the prism of modern Western European and world legal theory of the arbitration proceeding. The intention of such research is to determine if the contemporary Czech legal regulation of the arbitration proceeding is in conformity with the modern theory and practice of the arbitration proceeding. This thesis also aims to answer a question whether the Czech courts shall have the right to review the application of law by the arbitrators. The author is seeking to answer this question by comparing the the Czech, or rather Continental system of law with the law of England and Wales.

The theme of this thesis is the institute of arbitration in the Czech Republic. Arbitration is an institute enabling resolution of property disputes before an independent third. The result of an arbitration is publication of binding and enforceable arbitration award. Arbitration is a type of sui generis proceeding, meaning it differs both from the general court proceedings, as well as from other ADR methods. In this work I was mainly focused on a comprehensive analysis of Act no. 216/1994 Coll., on arbitration proceedings and enforcement of arbitral awards, in conjunction with the study of literature and case law. The thesis is divided into 9 chapters, which are further divided into subchapters. The thesis is further bounded by introduction and conclusion. The first chapter deals with the definition of arbitration and furthermore here we can find the characteristics, advantages and disadvantages, and explanations of theoretical concepts of arbitration. The second chapter focuses on the question of arbitrability of individual disputes. The third chapter examines in detail the process of conclusion of the arbitration agreement, including a description of requirements and division of arbitration agreements according to their nature. Roman Berbr's and Czech football referees case in chosen media

The thesis deals with the second vice-chairman of the Football asociation of the Czech Republic Roman Berbr and his wife, the then chairwoman of a referees's commission, Dagmar Damková case, which was started by Libor Kovařík's interview with the Czech daily Sport. Kovařík points out the situation between Czech football referees. This thesis aims to describe and analyze how the chosen media reflected and descibe this case. It will analyze the period of two months between 24th of August 2015 and 24th of October 2015. The beginnig of this period is clearly defined by Kovařík's interview, whose first part was published on the 24th of August. The thesis will analyze daily Sport that stood at the beggining of this case and on-line daily Aktuálně.cz, in which journalist Luděk Mádl known for his writing about corruption in czech football works.
Analysis of game in girls minibasketball from the perspective of interruptions by referees

Topic: Analysis of game in girls minibasketball from the perspective of interruptions by referees. Aim: The aim in this thesis is to make a analysis in one season in girls minibasketbal games in all categories to find out how often and why referees are interrupting the game. Than to make a statistic of all games and compare categories between themselves. Primary aim is to make the analysis which will show characteristic of interrupting the game and how often they are happening in game. Methods: Taking into consideration quantitative survey, my dissertation work was based on methods of secondary information collecting that implies secondary statistical analysis and observation with taking records down. Results: In average there are 98,14 interrupting in game of minibasketbal from referee. The travelling and ball outside of playcourt are the most often violations. There are differences between categories.
