Talent management v podnikové praxi

Šulová, G. Talent management in company praxis. Diploma thesis. Brno: Mendel University, 2018. The diploma thesis focuses on talent management and its importance for talents and business practice. The way of implementation and the benefits of TM were investigated in 3 branches of multinational organization. Literary research is focused on defining basic concepts, philosophy and the whole process of talent management. The thesis also examines the current state of talent management, especially individual activities were described and evaluated. The survey also included a questionnaire survey, the main task of which was to determine the level of competence development, careers, and answers research questions. The entire talent management program was reviewed by Kirkpatrick's four-level model. Everything was completed by structured interviews with HR/TM executives of the branches investigated. Based on the outcomes, proposals have been made to im-prove the effectiveness of both individual programs and the program itself.
Modern methods of employee development in the context of talent management

The aim of the thesis is to identify and characterize modern methods of personnel development in the context of talent management. Emphasis is placed on the use of couching, mentoring, self-learning and e-learning (webinars, online seminars, video learning and mobile learning) in career management and work performance. A well-designed workplace development and learning system allows employees to effectively manage their careers. The acquired knowledge and skills can be used by talented individuals in creative activities and the development of the organization. In the theoretical part, the issue of further professional education was conceptualized and summarized with an emphasis on strategic management within the organization. Trainee programs for managerial and technical positions: Analysis of specific programs, and case studies of selected organizations

This thesis deals with the topic of trainee programs in the Czech Republic and focuses on a case study of selected organization, which is FARMTEC a.s. The aim of the work is to provide an overview of trainee programs in the Czech Republic and to evaluate the newly introduced trainee program in FARMTEC a. s. The first part defines the concepts and personnel activities associated with trainee programs. The thesis has two parts. In the first part, on the selected sample of companies and on the basis of the selected criteria, a trainee program analysis is carried out which provides an overview of the current situation in the field of trainee programs. The second part describes and evaluates the newly introduced trainee program at FARMTEC a.s. Based on its evaluation, suggestions for improvements are made, which relate to the promotion, the length and content of the program, the evaluation of the success of the program and its participants.
Talent management in context of educational management

The diploma thesis looks into talent management in context of educational management with the application of professional literature analysis. It describes talent acquisition, human resource development, career management and succession planning and points out the connection between these and other human resource processes and talent management. It specifies the approach of personality psychology, industrial organizational psychology, vocational psychology, positive psychology, social psychology, educational psychology and management to the meaning of the talent. It defines talent management strategy, including a guideline on how to create one. It compares every approach to the talent amongst each other and summarizes the main difference. It presents research results on talent management application within organizations, which brings the attention to a low rate of application of this process and its complete absence within the educational institutions in the Czech Republic. Acquisition and Development of Students and Graduates in the Concept

The thesis deals with recruitment and development of students and graduates in relation to the talent management concept. It focuses on interpretation of talent concept, development of talent management, its current approach and the importance of talent management to the organization. Attention is paid to methods of recruitment and development of students and graduates, emphasizing the specifics of this group of employees. A qualitative survey is part of this thesis. Two methods of measurement were applied in this research - studying documents (career portals of employers) and conducting interviews with representatives of HR departments of large businesses operating in Prague, focusing on whether and how employers work with students and graduates within their talent management systems, how they understand the concept of talent and which methods of recruitment and development of students and graduates they apply most frequently. Use of Internet for Talent Acquisition

This diploma thesis presents the current knowledge on the use of internet for the purpose of talent acquisition. Its main objective is to determine to what extent organizations emphasize this knowledge in practice. For this purpose the first chapter refers to the academic compilation of talent management concept. The aim is to define the term of talent within the talent management concept as well as within the personal management. The second charter presents the academic compilation in the field of recruitment focused on specifics in talented individuals acquiring. The third chapter presents current knowledge of internet recruitment. Next chapters focus on recruitment in practice by analyzing the online recruitment documentation of three specific organizations. Based on this analysis, it is apparent, that the surveyed organizations accentuate current trends to a large extent. Analysis of development programs for students and graduates

The bachelor thesis deals with development programs for students and graduates in organizations. The first part of the work is devoted to the theoretical basis of talent management and talent development methods that are implemented in the programs. The second part of the work focuses on the analysis of the development programs for students and graduates in selected organizations. The basic criteria of comparison are determined and described for each of programs and subsequently evaluated. Career management

The thesis deals with the career management from the perspective of the organization. The theoretical part concerns the definition and explication of the terminology (basic terms), approaches and methods in the process of the career management. The separate chapter is dedicated to the current issue of talent management and also to the interpretation of the research of career counseling in the workplace, which compares the approaches of employers to the career management of their employees in 25 states of the European Union. The incorporation of the domain of career management to the set of other HR activities in the organization makes also part of this thesis. The practical part of thesis describes the concrete example of work with prospective employees of the organization, i.e. the presentation of implementation of the development program for talented and key employees. The conclusion of the thesis comprises the evaluation of the effectiveness of the program, including the recommendations for its potential continuation in the future.
The Concept of the Employee's Career

4 Abstract The thesis introduces an outline of information about the career of an organization employee. The career is described in a theoretical manner which also looks into general characteristics of a career, its possible types, individual structures and career cycles. The thesis also focuses on individual types of employees represented in the organization, possible career movements and mentions a working environment typology. Other parts of the thesis discuss the relation of professional career and the organization culture as well as parts of the relation consisting of personal growth planning, executive positions succession planning and career planning. This part is followed by a draft of talent management. The last chapter of the thesis is an actual illustration of career management in an organization, namely in Škoda Auto. Developing career paths with emphasis on technical professionals of the selected company

The main objective of the thesis is to explain and advocate the topic of career paths and construct career paths for technical professionals of the selected company. The thesis then has several secondary objectives.This thesis is divided into two parts. The first part provides a theoretical framework for career paths in terms of getting into the topic of career paths and explaining the purpose, and furthermore, provides a guide for career path framework construction. The second, practical part focuses on the selected technological company that wishes to remain anonymous. Based on the theory and partially extracted from the interviews with the company experts, the career paths framework for technical professionals is constructed. To ensure that the framework is valuable for the company, feedback for the proposed framework is gathered and implemented in the thesis.
