Tkadlečková, Dorothea ; Aslan, Emil (advisor) ; Kubát, Michal (referee)
This bachelor thesis concerns the causes of the change in the outcome of the Turkish parliamentary election in November 2015. First, the outcomes of the June and November parliamentary elections are compared, and on these grounds the shift of the MHP and HDP voters towards AKP is evaluated. The results of the autumn election are then appraised through analysis of the inter-election period's events and the strategic steps taken by AKP. The thesis comes to the conclusion that the change in the November parliamentary election was connected to the events in the inter-election period, particularly the transformation of the internal security situation in Turkey and the parties' inability to agree upon the building of a governmental coalition. The shift in the November parliamentary election was also related to the strategic steps made by AKP to change the candidates on the parties' electoral lists.

Dzenik, Uliana ; Vymětal, Petr (advisor) ; Klokava, Anfisa (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with the problem of electoral fraud in Ukrainian early parliamentary elections in 2014. The incentive for choosing this topic was a negative historical experience with electoral corruption in Ukraine and the assumption that as during the last election to the Verkhovna Rada the situation with fraud would repeat again. The main objective is therefore to examine the process of early election and to answer the question if fraud actually has been noticed during them. The thesis is divided into four chapters. The first chapter is a theoretical description of the Ukrainian political system, definining the role of the legislative power and describes the system of parliamentary election. The purpose of the second chapter is to define and classify electoral frauds in order to use it for further investigation. The third chapter includes analysis of the parliamentary election in 2014, describes why they were held and answers the question why the previous government is considered to be illegitimate. The final chapter analyzes fraud that has been recognized during the pre-election phase, election day and during the process of vote counting and tabulation. For this analysis I use mainly legislative documents and reports of international organizations monitoring election.

Analysis of the Influence of Preferential Voting on the Municipal Elections
Mareček, Jan ; Němec, Jan (advisor) ; Lisa, Aleš (referee)
The bachelor thesis deals with the transmission of voting behavior patterns from elections to the Chamber of Deputies to the Municipal elections in 2010. There has been recorded an entirely new phenomenon of preferential voting for the last four candidates on the lists during the last Parliamentary elections, which had been created by Citizens' Initiative. This kind of preferential voting has proved very effective in order to show dissatisfaction with usually always the same candidates on the lists. The aim of the thesis is to find out what was the impact of the Parliamentary elections on the voting patterns in the Municipal elections that took place five months later. The text is divided into four chapters. The first one is a theoretical basis of the thesis which deals with proportional and majority systems with a focus on preferential voting. The second chapter concentrates on the personalization of the vote in various types of elections to the Czech representative bodies. The third chapter could be characterized as a bridge between theoretical and empirical part, where the author describes the phenomenon of the preferential voting in the Chamber of Deputies in May 2010. The last (fourth) chapter consists of author's analysis of preferential voting in the Prerov Municipal elections, which in the end enables to answer the questions.
