The Role of e-Learning Environment in the Current High School

This thesis deals with distance education in the setting of high schools. The first part describes the history, then the possibility of e learning and its basic components. Another part is focused on the description of the current offer of educational systems. The practical part focuses on the characterization and comparison of LMS systems. The last chapter deals with ways of graduation at the Faculty of Management and describes the courses with which students have the most problems.

Media and its effect on the learning process in a web application

The thesis concentrates on the utilization of multimedia in the learning process. For this purpose, information about memory function, media, multimedia transmission and perception and the interaction and gamification theories are synthesised. In the practical part of the thesis, a pair of educational web applications will be analysed, based on the comparison with the common quality of internet courses and specified criteria. Four main areas of interest are established for this assessment, based on the study of cognitive processes, pedagogics, communication theory and the principles of gamification. The aim of this thesis is to provide recommendations for an ongoing development of an eLearning project.

Caligraphy Editor with Japanese Character Recognition

This work focuses on creating an application to support Japanese character learning. It also contains a brief overview of Japanese writing's history and evolution. Based on the study of existing options, this work sets the requirements for the application. It discusses problems and tries to find possible solutions. Character recognition is an important part. The work describes chosen solutions and their implementations. It ends by demonstrating achieved results and discussing options for further development of the system.

Festival PAN

Dissertation about Festival PAN was created in order to academically research Festival of mime and movement theater PAN in Liptovský Mikuláš and its 20 years of existence. The dissertation briefly covers personality of a founder and main organiser of the festival Miroslav Kasprzyk and his Studio of mime Kasprzyk, whose members were participating in festival competition and in time became inseparable part of organisation team of the festival. My information sources about history of PAN came from archive of Miroslav Kasprzyk, festival bulletins in electronic or paper finish. The most valuable source for my dissertation was questionaire, that I sent in electronic form to the members of Studio of mime Kasprzyk, the lectors, the participants, to the teachers at Basic art schools, who are coming every year to the festival PAN to compete and learn in workshops and to few proffesionals who are inspiration for children for their future.

Specific developmental disorders in learning and syndrome ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) and ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder) - The pilot's analysis of modifications within school attendance My dissertation is devoted to accessible pieces of knowledge from neuro-science, pedagogy and psychology appointed at specific disorders in learning and syndrome ADHD/ADD. I described characteristic, etiology, expressions, reeducation and diagnostic of specific developmental disorders in learning and syndrome ADHD/ADD. I looked up pupils (in 1st and 2nd forms) with possible assumption of any specific developmental disorders in learning by standardized tests. I have focused on an importance of capture their beginning problems. I founded current existence of specific disorders in learning among pupils on second stage of primary school. I have carried out my research work in primary school (1024 Laudova Street, Prague 17 - Řepy). I captured data from my research work that had been statistically processed. The school staff allowed me to get information about specific disorders in learning presence among 2nd form classes' students. Rebranding: Garnier case study

The thesis is about the topic of rebranding on a concrete case from the Czech Republic. The main goal of this thesis is to find a strategy for the rebranding campaign of the Garnier Naturals brand. The key benefits of the paper are the summarization of the rebranding process in general as well as concrete process for the Garnier Naturals brand. In the theoretical part of the paper is the theory behind brands and case studies about both successful and unsuccessful rebranding. In the application part there is an image study of the original brad as well as an analysis of quantitative research and qualitative research -- focus groups. The most important learnings and a proposed strategy for this particular rebranding is in the last part of the paper - the summary.

Preparing student teachers for constructivist teaching about society in primary grades Michaela Dvořáková Abstract The content of primary social studies could be described as cultural universals - domains of human existence that form part of everybody's experience. Despite that, children do need a skilled instruction helping them to elaborate these topics. We suppose that for the constructivist teachers, deep content knowledge and pedagogic content knowledge is necessary to elaborate and conceptualize children's experiences. In this thesis, we wanted to learn more about the knowledge base of pre-service teachers. To explore the education students' content knowledge and pedagogical content knowledge of social studies topics, we elicited students' concepts related to the topic of family using concept mapping. Then we performed the content analysis of the obtained concepts. We tried to determine whether pre-service teachers rely on their prior knowledge (including misconceptions) of family or whether they use the knowledge gained in social science classes at the high school or at our university. Self-concept of a child with specific learning disorders at first grade of primary school

Thesis focuses on self conception of primary school children impaired by specific learning disabilities. Based on case histories of nine children it states factors influencing the building of a self concept, and also follows a development of monitored children. The theoretic section defines a conceptual framework based on characteristics of a preadlolescent child with specific regard to her/his sensoric, cognitive and emotional development, with regard to development of child's self concept and to specific learnind disabilities in general. It describes the stage of children's development and learning disorders they are afflicted by. The practical section of the thesis describes case histories of nine pupils (and their development), which the author of the thesis followed for two years. The group consists of 9 pupils (2 girls and 7 boys). The thesis gives a thorough view on self conception of monitored children, their positionin the school group and areas of succes, it shows the individuality of each child's personality and his/her life story.

Motivation of student teachers of vacational subjects for study.

This thesis deals with the motivation of students and their attitudes to the study of vocational subjects teaching. The theoretical part focuses on the description of the teacher, the choice of the teaching profession, teaching studies, role of a teacher in the teaching profession, teacher competence. It continues with the description of the profile of a combined studies graduate of vocational subjects at the University of South Bohemia, Faculty of Education. For the practical part were established some research questions, related to the students motivation and their attitudes to this study. The research questions are confirmed or refuted by a research probe in the form of a questionnaire survey. This survey contains 20 questions that respondents answered in writing. The elected respondents were some students of the first and third grade of the combined studies of Teaching of vocational subjects at the University of South Bohemia, Faculty of Education, Department of Education and Psychology.
