Importance of volunteerism as a possibility of help for heritage of Czech Republic

The goal of this thesis is to determine how important is volunteer work on cultural heritage for its owners. Importance of this work was determined by comparison of two groups of workers, volunteers and ordinary employee. I have compared their costs, efficiency and i have also observe possible alternative impacts of volunteer work. While processing this topic I take in account value of cultural heritage for tourism. I concluded, that volunteer work can be regarded as important help for owners of cultural heritage of Czech Republic, in terms of finance and also it has possitive effects on its promotion.
Human Resource Management in Non-profit Organization

The aim of this Master Thesis is to analyze the processes of human resource management in non-profit organization USE-IT Prague. The theoretical part is an introduction into the topic of non-profit organization's management in general, volunteerism and specifics of human resource management in non-profit organization's practice. The practical part introduces the background of USE-IT Prague non-profit organization and analyzes each activity of its human resource management, especially recruitment of volunteers, their motivation, development, team-work and communication. The support of the analysis are results of a survey among USE-IT Prague's volunteers. In the last part those activities are evaluated, compared with the theoretical knowledge acquired and, if necessary, are provided recommendations for improvement.

The aim of the graduation thesis is to elicit the motibation of volunteers in employer-supported volunteer program. Practical part of the thesis is oriented on employer-supported volunteer program in specific company Hewlett-Packard. Research information in thepractical part of the thesis was gathered from Hewlett-Packard employees. Theoretical part of the thesis describes volunteering, its types, terminology, models and perspectives. Volunteering is examined from view of ecomonics, social-psychology or game theory. In last part of theoretical part is described the structure of volunteers on Czech Republic by age, education or religion.
The devising of activation programs for seniors

This Diploma thesis is focused on the social group of seniors and deals with issues of activation programs, intergenerational contact and management of volunteers at the Center of activation programs (CAP) at Prague 8. The theoretical part provides the theoretical and methodological thesis on the definition and definitions related to the senior age, intergenerational relations description and presentation of the functioning of social services in the Czech Republic with an emphasis on activation services for seniors. In the following chapters the theoretical part is examined in detail and the issue of volunteerism is discussed as well as the possibility of activation of seniors. The practical part presents concrete proposals for new programs for seniors organized by the CAP including a detailed description of their implementation and operational solutions. Second part of the practical section is devoted to a proposal to streamline the management of volunteers at the CAP. Conclusion evaluates the proposed solutions and their contribution to the CAP and especially for their clients, which are active seniors from Prague 8.
The importance of philantrophy for marketing activities of company

This thesis focuses on philanthropic activities. Its mission is to identify what specific philanthropic activities is devoted to company O2 Czech Republic, the importance to these activities in relation to the marketing of the company. It is also its task by its own research to find out what attitude consumers have in relation to these activities, how they influence their purchasing decision process and on the basis of these findings to identify the real importance of these activities for the marketing activities of the company.
Volunteering - madness or virtue?

This bachelor thesis is focused on the subject of motivation of the young volunteers and their general volunteer experience. The literary part introduces basic concepts related with volunteerism. Furthermore, some perceptions on volunteers of the general public are briefly presented and examined. The laws connected with volunteerism are also reviewed. Based on academic literature, a short chapter dealing with the motivation of volunteers and different aspects which affect the motivation was conducted. Additionally, volunteerism, as a pro-social behavior, is studied in relation with development of human society. The second part this thesis summarizes results of qualitative research aimed on motivation leading to the volunteerism with selected group of young volunteers with age range from 21 to 33 years. The information regarding their motivation, social environment and development of their relationship with society were obtained by semi-structured interview. The view on the volunteer experience by volunteers is also presented. The motivation of selected volunteers is categorized into four main groups (altruism, adventure, personal development, cultural exchange), which are further specified.
Volunteerism of Unemployed in Public Utility Services in Czech Republic

Volunteerism of unemployed in public utility services in the Czech Republic Key words: volunteerism, volunteer, volunteering, programme co-ordinator, unemployment, unemployed, unemployment rate The objective of my diploma work is to describe and to analyse the volunteerism of unemployed people in public utility services in the Czech Republic. Particularly I describe the realization of the volunteering programme for unemployed in the town Tábor. In order to understand what is the main objective of this project and what profit can such a project bring to the unemployed, I had to mention in the theoretical part what is the main idea of volunteerism itself with a short description of its historical backgrounds and the basic legislative frame of the work with unemployed people. The chapter applied to the problematic of unemployment, target groups, which are the major subject of the unemployment and the problematic of negative effects of the unemployment can help us to reveal motives and expectations of unemployed people by the volunteerism. The volunteering programme enables to the unemployed to use meaningfully their time during which they are recorded at the unemployment office. By means of the volunteering service they gain new experiences and skills which they could use and apply in their new job. The volunteerism helps to the restoration of working and social habits of unemployed and helps to the prevention of the social separation.
Seniors and volunteerism (in the context of contemporary civil society)

The bachelor thesis consists of theoretical and practical part. Theoretical part is divided into three main chapters: civil society, voluntary work and life in old age. The first chapter analyses the civil society and the corresponding civic sector. The second chapter focuses on the basic features of volunteerism(and voluntary work). The terms volunteerism and volunteer are explained, describing various types of volunteerism and the motivation of voluntary workers. The third chapter is dedicated to the topic of life in old age. The definitionsof terms ageing and old age, the recent phenomenon of elderly people within the major society and activities in old age are the main features of the chapter. Furthermore, it takes a closer look on the present attitudes of the society towards the elderly resulting in two main points of view: skeptic and optimistic (successful ageing concept). The practical part of the thesis is mapping the motivation of senior volunteers towards active voluntary work in the districts of Vodňany and Drahonice. Secondly, the proportion of men to women among volunteers is being questioned as well as which particular activities are typical for senior volunteers. The acquired data originate directly from local non-profit organizations which provide voluntary service. As a research method, quantitative research was chosen {--} using the methods of questioning and standardized interviews with senior volunteers.
Volunteer co-ordinator´s role in health and social services

Although the co-ordinator of volunteers is the key person of the volunteers management we do not know much about the role of the co-ordinator, contents of his work and personality characteristics he needs for his profession; the necessary material concerning this issue is still missing. The theoretical part of the submitted treatise explains briefly the basic concepts as volunteering, volunteer, volunteers in the health and social field. It analyses in details the person of the co-ordinator of volunteers. The target of the bachelor{\crq}s thesis is to map the contents of work of the co-ordinator of volunteers in the health and social field, their motivation for performing this activity and their personality characteristics. Hypotheses: 1.The co-ordinators of volunteers took part in the training organized by the National Volunteer Hestia Centre. 2.The co-ordinators of volunteers consider the communicative and organizational abilities for most important. 3.The most frequent motivation for the work of co-ordinator of volunteers is the possibility of self-fulfilment. The selected technique is the questioning by the questionnaire with the randomly selected co-ordinators of volunteers and volunteers working in the health and social field from volunteer centers in the whole Czech Republic. Another applied method is the analysis of the document. It follows from the results of the research that the contents of the work of volunteer co-ordinator is very broad. The co-ordinators of volunteers consider their communication and organizational abilities for most important. The main motivation for the activity is acquiring the new experience and possibilities of self-fulfillment. The permitted research confirmed the second and third hypothesis, the first hypothesis has not been confirmed. This bachelor{\crq}s treatise may be utilized for organizations performing the training of co-ordinators of volunteers, as manual for the participants of the research and future co-ordinators.
Motivation of the Volunteers

The study is aminig on volunteers motivation, it means, what people leads to participace on volunteering. Shortly pointing on developing of volunteerism since midage till the present days. Next point of the study is characterization of a volunteer and the areas, where could volunteers apply themselfs. This study is, as well, aiming on motivation of human behavior and analyzing the sources of this motivation. Describing particular kinds of the motivation for voluntary activity, those whose are correct and those whose are not as well. In the study is mentioned the question of prepearing for voluntary activities.
