Looking Back at the End of Life´s Journey. A Retospective View of Seniors

In this bachelor thesis I would like to introduce the process of aging and aging with regard to previous developmental stages in human life. I choose this topic - life story of seniors, because I have a very positive relationship with old people and I was always very interested in thein life stories. The aim of my bachelor thesis is to explore the lives of seniors and their most important periods and seech at impact has relive the past on life in old age. The theoretical part deals with the different developmental stages, old age, aging, life story and life in old age. The practical part is focused on the target group of seniors, and especially thein life stories. The main objektive is to explore the lives of seniors, and it is signifiant periods. This bachelor thesis identified the main research question chat is the impal of relive past on life in old age? On the basic of the main research questions I set out five specific research questions. For the empirical part of my thesis I choose qualitative research strategy, narrative interview method and technice of cluster. Operationalized questions were dividend according to specific research questions and by development stages. The research group consists of six seniors who were selected by quota selection hen this quota is equal representation of men and women aged 71-81 years who are willing to give interviews. There sults were obtained based on narrative interviews in the Home for elderly "Pohoda", in Netolice. Based on the mapping of the life of seniors and thein significant period, it was found that the old age is the reset of the whole life time. Although each of senior had different life, in old age their lives resemble each other. Given the times in which they lived and chat they lived through, they can now appreciate everything. Today's time is perceived ether negatively, but they are happy with thein lives in old age. Relive the past has a very signifiant effect on old age. This bachelor thesis could be beneficial for specific social services and results may help to better understand the life stories of users. Knowledge of thein lives can help to improve the quality of life of seniors in homes for the elderly. Also I think, that knowledge of interesting life stories can penetratein to the depths of thein lives and help to understand the seniors. This bachelor thesis could be alsouseful for other students who deal with the topic of life stories.
Life Stories of Preschool Directresses

This thesis examines life stories of three chosen preschool directresses. Based on life story interviews it brings and partially compares their life stories, picks out the critical incidents and characteristic features of their lives, gives insight into individual phases of their director's role and document their reflection of the role itself. The in - depth interviews focus on complex understanding of individual's life. The directresses are examined based on both their professional development and personal experiences. This thesis documents own interpretations of life stories; it is a source of self-reflection for the examined directresses. It also serves as an inspiration source for directors newly in the office. It is formally divided into two parts: the theoretical one gives an overview of life-story interview as a methodological approach applied. Furthermore, it is also devoted to the director as an individual being defined mainly in the Czech School Law. It also represents the existing results of both teachers' and directors' life stories research. The research part represents an analysis of life story interviews with three chosen preschool directresses in connection to the research questions.
Analysis of women's life stories and their problems with alcohol

The topic of bachelor thesis is Analysis of women's life stories and their problems of alcoholism, which I processed by half structured interview. The topic is chosen because of generally skeptical majority view of female's increased consummation of alcohol. This my supposition is confirmed by literature, women's view and results of my research. Woman like a mother, symbol of the family is under bigger pressure and critique of the vicinity. View of their addiction is generally take like a failure. This is why they hide their drinking. The point of this thesis is to prove that in interviews of six random chosen women we will see some kind of violence, maternity power and worsened relationship with men. The theoretical part sketched particular causes of women's alcoholic problem interleaved by their exact citations. The theoretical part is going from exact examples to the general terms like what is alcohol and which are his incidences to health. The theoretical part and the practical section is connected. Practical section is processed case study of women's life stories, who had or still have some problem with alcohol. The Image of Slušovice in Narratives about "Slušovice miracle

This thesis is based on local normative written sources as well as interviews with selected people living in the town of Slušovice. The aim is to analyse the various topics these people mentioned in the interviews in connection with their lives in Slušovice and in what way they remembered them. The main focus of the analysis deals with special visits to Slušovice, the cultural events connected to them, as well as the way in which these events were depicted in the media at that time. A microhistorical approach has been used when focusing on the type of content of the interviews. When dealing with the ways of remembering this thesis draws material from the work of Maurice Halbwasche and his follower, Wulf Kansteiner; i.e. the impact of individual and historical memory on collective memory. The possibilities of using a story in a correlation at work with people traumatized by brain injury

This thesis contains two parts, theoretical one and practical one. The first part is mostly about a theoretical definition. It is mainly focused on following terms: story, life story, narrative approach, trauma, acquired disablement. Attention is paid to a target group (people with a brain trauma), they are also important in the practical part later. The thesis mentions the most frequent occasions of a brain injury/damage and their potencial consequences. Each information is connected with the main topic of this thesis. The organisation, where stories were used as a part of Social Therapy Workshop, is briefly introduced at the end of the first part. In the practical part some findings are devolved into a profession. The stories, which were collected during the direct work with clients of Social Therapy Workshop, are the most significant texts of this part. There is a space for client's particular life stories, they are analyzed than. The personal topic of each client is highlighted and the thesis provides various interpretations. The collective memory of the forcibly ejected inhabitants: the oral history of Neveklov ant its neighbourhood during the 2nd World War

This Rigorous Thesis is the benefit to studying of the questions of the oral history of forcibly ejected inhabitants of Neveklov and its neighbourhoods during the 2nd World War. About this region, there exists authentic testimony and this territory is fixed in the collective memory. The oral history is a highly valued literary source. Its value is in the authenticity, which is characterized by selectivity and represents another point of view. The essay brings the unique opportunity to get acquainted with witnesses of the wartime. At present this testimony is unknown or is being forgotten in the offical documents. The essay follows the researches of Jaromír Jech from the middle of the last century. If we compare the results of both researches, we get the view of the importance of forcible displacement of Czech inhabitants in a demarcated region. Result of this work is the analysis of the results obtained with the help of the modern approaches that are based on the method of the oral history, which is a part of the qualitative research, with an emphasis on general objectives and context. The reconstruction of the life story of young adults being exposed to an adverse effect of their family

The thesis deals with understanding the interpretation of life story, important people and agency in life story of young adult being expose to an adverse effect of their family. The theoretical part is focused on life story and life story work, namely methods of create life story book. The thesis defined young adult in institutional and foster care, their needs and rights. The special chapter is life story work with traumatized children. The empirical part consist of analysis of four autobiographical narratives collected by the method of narrative interview, life story book and lifeline. The collected information are analysed with holistic-content, holistic-formal and categorical-formal analysis. This work includes feedback participants in research probe reconstruction of life story and life story work. At the conclusion of work are recommended other methods for further research.

The ninth stage of human development: narrative analysis of autobiographical interview Abstract The goal of the work is understanding how seniors give meaning to their experience. Theoretical and methodological bases are formed by the hermeneutic- narrative approach. Thesis is concentrated to the identity and a method how is the identity constructed in life stories. The empirical material consists of three autobiographical narratives collected by the method od narrative interview. For narrative analysis of the interview there are three different interpretive perspective used: Live motives, Ideological setting and Imagoes. The results of analysis are confronted with the concept of "The ninth stage of human development" whose authors are J. M. Erikson and E. H. Erikson. The life afterwards. The return of Czechoslovak political prisoners to society.

The Master's thesis "The Life Afterwards. The Return of Czechoslovak Political Prisoners to Society" is concerned with the topic of the re-integration of Czechoslovak political prisoners of the 1950s back into society after their release from prison. In the conceptual framework I provide the political and historical background of the Communist Czechoslovakia during the 1950s. I discuss the concept of political prisoner and describe the living conditions in prisons and labor camps. As observed from their narration, I also briefly outline the various strategies employed by political prisoners in their attempts to deal with imprisonment. Although the descriptions of the respondents' arrests and events that had led up to them are topics not directly concerned with the primary topic of my thesis, they are included, because they are vital in understanding the existential and other re-integration-related problems these prisoners faced. In my research, I employ the qualitative method of oral history. I focus on the time period when the interviewees were released from prison and try to describe the numerous issues they faced and had to deal with.
