FLE teaching and gestures

The thesis La gestuelle en FLE concerns itself with non-verbal communication and usage of gestures in the French language teaching process. It consists of two main parts, theoretical and practical. Theoretical part is focused primarily on non-verbal communication, its types and function, verbal communication will also be mentioned for better understanding of the connection between the two types. In chapter focused on gesture we'll focus on body language, its position concerning the environment (proxemics), we will discuss facial expressions and movement of individual body parts (gestures). Important aspect is the voice, which is considered the middleman between verbal and non-verbal communication. In the chapter dedicated to pedagogical gesture we will focus on its types and function. Last chapter of the theoretical part concerns itself with the body and voice of the teacher, as those are indispensable in the language teaching process. During teaching, the teacher of a foreign language uses all means of communication, spoken word is accompanied or completely substituted by a specific gesture, which leads to better understanding on the side of student and also to elimination of student's mother tongue. Verbal expressions of students UK FTVS in the role of teacher within the subject Theory and Basic of Swimming Didactis

Title: Verbal expressions of students UK FTVS in the role of teacher within the subject Theory and Basics of Swimming Didactics Objectives: The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the verbal level of students of 2nd year of UK FTVS in the role of swimming teacher in the didactic outputs of the subject Theory and Basics of Swimming Didactics through the agency of analysis of the audio recording in duration of 15 minutes. The persons with higher pedagogical practice in swimming lessons were compared with persons with basic swimming education. Methods: The research focused on the analysis of verbal expression of swimming teacher. For data collection we used participating observation and analysis of audio recordings. The transcription method allowed recording the occurrence of the linguistic and paralinguistic aspects of verbal expression. The frequency of phenomena was observed on individual participants and groups of students with different levels of swimming education and practice. Comparisons between groups were performed using average values and expressed as a percentages in graphs. Results: The verbal expressions of the students did not go without serious verbal offences. The filler words were dominant factor, which occurrence was considerable for all participants without irrespective of achieved...
Analysis of communication and argumentation of Andrej Babiš presented in TV programmes Otázky Václava Moravce (Question of Václav Moravec) and Iterview ČT24 in the years 2014-2017

This diploma thesis deals with the verbal and nonverbal communication of the former Minister of Finance Andrej Babiš and especially examines his ability to argue. The thesis consists of two parts. The theoretical part explains the basic concepts - verbal communication, language means, nonverbal communication, argument and argumentation and pragmatic linguistics. The analytical part of the thesis is based on the principles of qualitative research. The programs of Czech Television - Questions of Václav Moravec and Interview ČT24 were selected for the analysis. The choice of these programs was mainly related to their nature. In the case of Interview ČT24, one moderator and one guest are present. In Questions of Václav Moravec, Andrej Babiš gets into a controversy not only with the moderator of the discussion, but also with other guests. For the analysis of the mentioned areas were selected parts of programs in 2014, when Babiš became Minister of Finance, and in 2017, in which he last acted as Minister of Finance. Between these years, episodes in 2015 and in 2016 were chosen, which made it possible to follow the development of Babiš's speech over the time. Communication in adult clients with autism and its systematic support

The topic of this diploma thesis is communication in adult clients with autism and its systematic support. The text itself consists of two main parts: theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part is further divided into four chapters which deal with the basic concepts of autism spectrum disorders and communication. In these chapters, autism spectrum disorders are analysed from the viewpoint of historical development, etiology, classification and symptomatology with regard to the manifestation of ASD in adulthood. The chapters which deal with the topic of communication first define communication as such and the important terms associated with it, and then describe the specific abnormalities that may occur in the communication of people with autism spectrum disorder. They also provide support options that can be used to communicate with people with ASD. The practical part is then conceived as a qualitative research whose main aim is to describe the communication of people with autism spectrum disorder, to show its specifics and to describe the intervention that was introduced in five individual subjects. Gender communication in a particular base in the Czech Armed Forces

This bachelor's thesis deals with the gender perspectives and gender communication in the military. The theoretical part describes meaning of gender, communications and male and female stereothypes in that field. Current position of male and female soldiers in the Czech Armed Forces has been introduced here. Analysis of that will be an empirical part of the research, which examines if there exist any problems in that area. The aim of this work is to find experiences of female soldiers in the specific engineer unit with any differences on gender perspectives in common military life and within crisis situations. If that topic has have any influence to their work and if here exists differences between conditions.

Diploma thesis: Media Training - The Rhetoric for Practice Tereza Ouahdjinová Abstract English The subject of this diploma thesis is the concept of media training in current practice, with a focus on individuals who, in their interactions with the media, not only represent the face of corporate, political and other organizations but also use the media to reach the general public. Due to the media attention that is attracted by these representatives, it is crucial that they know how to comport themselves in front of the media and how to utilize it to efficiently effect the target audiences. For this reason, media training focuses on the different forms of an individual's presentation, with the main focus being on speech. The thesis makes use of the foundations of rhetoric as a theoretical background for perceiving media training, specifically in regard to the ability to speak compellingly, correctly, and with consideration so as to influence the audience. Knowledge of rhetoric is key to making convincing arguments and giving prompt responses, and is a skill that can be developed, practiced and perfected over time. Verbal Communication of Swimming Teacher

Title: Verbal communication of swimming teacher Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to evaluate quality of verbal speech of swimming inctructors with different experiences, knowledge, qualification and extent of practice within the swimming lesson. Methods: For evaluation of the verbal communication a method of non-participant observation of the sample was used and both interviewing and consequent detailed transcription of audiorecords for exact processing of results were also implemented. All results of verbal speech analysis were presented in graphs. Results: The evaluation of results was focused on linguistic aspects of the language. There are a few types of phrases that thesis was focused on - unscriptural, gramatically incorrect expression, redundant words, unprofessional expression and slang and professional titles. Author also studied the content of the verbal language in terms of providing of feedback and method of verbal speech conception through the typology of pedagogues. Results have confirmed the quality of language was significantly different across probands. Applied methods were found as appropriate tool for analysis of verbal speech of swimming instructors.
