Several Aspects of a Foreign Language at a Pre-School Age

The dissertation deals with some of the aspects of foreign languages in preschool education and is based on the practical experiences of teaching in the Czech Republic, England and France. The theoretical part of the diploma work point out the historical context of language education, the specifics of a child's preschool period and poses some of the questions connected with languages in preschool age, such as method of education, conditions, duration of a lesson, qualification of the lecturers, returns, cooperation with the family etc. The practical part of the diploma work presents concrete results of the pedagogical investigation, which is focused on the current situation in Prague's kindergartens and on conditions for languages at preschool age. Education in the Care about the Child with Congenital Defect

The thesis analyses all aspects of the education of the mothers of newborns and sucklings with congenital defects. The theoretical part is focused on education in general, as well as on education in care about newborn and suckling with congenital defect. In the thesis further on issues of several selected congenital defects that require fair education of the parents are briefly and transparently compiled. The research section is focused on how the nurses who work in newborn and suckling wards and mothers of the children with congenital defect approach towards the education, which problems they find in this area, and what, based on their assumption, could be improved in this field. At the end of the thesis the possibilities of improving the quality of the education there are proposed and the technique is recommended how to educate the parents of newborns and sucklings with congenital defects efficiently.

The Prevention of Youth Criminality

This work deals with activities of three projects connected with the prevention of criminality generally and problems of criminality of young people. In the first chapter terms and prevention of criminality are described. The second chapter describes briefly criminality evolution of young people. There are typical characteristics of adolescent's criminality. The third chapter is about the civic association Prak as the example of primary prevention, program Pět P as the example of secondary prevention and tertiary prevention is shown on project Lata. There is the information about their rise, mission and goals and activities. The programs of Prak are for pupils who attend the second grade of basic or special schools and it should reinforce ethical and moral feelings and perception of young people. The main topic is the question of guilt - crime - punishment, the impact prison on human personality, personal moral standards and their creation. The program Pět P is for children between age 8 and 15 years old. They start to meet some volunteer and spend some free time together. It is good for child to have older friend, who can help him/her in difficult life situations. The project Lata is for 15 - 21 years old adults, who are in difficult situations. It can be problem with criminal offences or serious problem...

The Reaction of a Teacher to the Situation of a Child in Danger

The thesis treats situation of a pre-school child endangered by its own family and possibilities of the teacher to help such a child. The theoretical part includes history of CAN syndrom, describes how the CAN syndrom affects children nowadays and what is its cause in defective families. Additionally, the thesis deals with possible measures which can be taken by the teacher in favour of the child. The practical part, which is based on own research, tries to discover the teacher's awareness of acute and long- term exposure of the child to the danger and possible solution to such situation. The main objective of the thesis is to show a need of the teacher perceived as an irreplaceable personality, which would contribute to the interdisciplinary system supporting the endangered child. The dissertation "Project Method in the Step by Step Programme" deals with the conception of teaching in the context of European trend of upbringing and education. It explains the principles and strategies of the Step by Step programme. It inquires into the project method and it's forms in abovementioned programme in primary education. It describes how to improve pedagogical effect of a teacher by an action research. It analyses the procedure of creation of conditions for effective application of the project method in teaching. Family of a Child with a Mental Disability - Entry into the World of Adults

This diploma work is directed to the life of the family with a child with mental handicap in the time, when the child finished his compulsory school attendance and should enter the adult's world. Teoretical part pays attention to family and its function, since the birth of the child with mental handicap. Parts of parents, brothers and sisters and grandparents. Next part is about maturing a about problems of young people with mental handicap in this time. By the way of life story practical part shows lifes of four concrete families and their specifics in time, when their child enters the next life stages colled maturity. This 4 stories are able to compare with life story of a woman with mental handicap, who had gone throught this time 25 years ago. Main attention is devoted to the real possibilities and to the life perspectives of this families and of their children.

Admission of parents with their ill child to hospital from nurse's point of view

The goal of bachelor's thesis is to present the problems of parents staying together with their ill child in hospital. It emphasizes on child's psychical needs influenced by illness, especially on need to have around a person he or she knows well to provide him or her the emotional support and comfort, especially when being taken away from his or her usual environment. A qvantitative research was carried out how nursing staff from paediatric wards of three Faculty Hospitals in Prague. The research vas focused on how nurses accept parents or adults accompanying a child, the most common problems, the staff knowledge of the therm family- centred care, cooperation with play therapists, volunteers or psychologist and also how the Chart of hospitalized children is respected.

Taring advantages of drama therapy in individuals

The first part of the bachelor's thesis deals with the mental retardation, determination, classification and etiology. It is emphasising importance of the education of the child with light mental disability, which is possible to be used in form of the therapeutic-formative intervention. The second part of the bachelor's thesis deals with the area of drama therapy that describes the therapeutic-formative approach. It refers to possibilities of application of the drama therapeutic techniques and exercises in area of treatment of the children with mild mental disablement. The third part of the bachelor's thesis focuses on the proposal of the drama therapeutic programme, which main contribution is development of the verbal and nonverbal communication abilities. There is a presentation of ten lessons of the drama therapy programme with focus on the prevention of problems in the communication.
