The power of the turn of 19th and 20th centuries
Nastuneaková, Tereza ; Soukup, Martin (referee) ; Czumalo, Vladimír (advisor)
In my thesis I tried to outline not only the atmosphere and power of the 19th and 20th century turn but also the strong and outstanding personalities closely related to this period. The great development of the science, technologies and information technologies, raised the peoples' desire to step into for that time unknown and undiscovered. On the other hand this fast development evoked fear in them. They were afraid of the growth of materialism and the retreat of spirituality into the background. People were also afraid of uncertainties having been brought by the new century since the century was being anticipated as the one that would become purely rational one. Thanks to this society orientation the questions about meaning of life and values that can't be measured mathematically or explained logically started to appear. There was an effort to "fight all the chronological movements from which atheism, nihilism, material socialism and whatever you call all these figments of materialism, come out."268 Especially the people with the sense of art started to turn to spiritualism which was experiencing its renascence. The theosophy originated from the influence of Eastern religions, later on the anthroposophy came into being thanks to studying philosophers, thinkers and old Christian papers. The power of...

Ludmila Žofková. Life and works
Žáková, Kateřina ; Koťa, Jaroslav (referee) ; Váňová, Růžena (advisor)
The aim of this piece is to illustrate a life and work of Ludmila Žofková, one of the Czech reformative pedagogy figures of twenties and thirties, 19. century. The introductory part shows us Ms. Žofková's life the way she remembered it in her manuscripts. Next parts are devoted to her pedagogic activity, pedagogic autobiography in other words. Before the Analysis of "Bakov plan" we are going to think up Czech and world pedagogic trends of the beginning of 20. century. The attempt analysis itself is a key part of the piece. It is divided into 3 chapters. In the Didactic analysis we're going to uncover the "Bakov plan" in didactic point of view. The Conditions chapter is showing what conditions the "Bakov plan" realization presumed and what conditions the pedagogues from Bakov faced in real. Last chapter called Educational Aspects and Instruments presents what were the educatory aims the "Bakov plan" had, and which tools were used to make these aims happen. Final part of the piece describes the Czech language education at school in Bakov and Czech language workbooks written by Ludmila Žofková. I believe that this work brings another perspective on knowledge and inspiration to teachers' pedagogic activity.

Copyright issues in television activities
Ludvíková, Veronika ; Wünschová Pujmanová, Alexandra (advisor) ; Žikovská, Petra (referee)
Copyright in Practise of television broadcasting Summary Copyright in practice of television broadcasting is an issue that is constantly becoming increasingly important. With development of instruments and devices and more and more liberal legislation in the sphere of telecasting, number of television stations has been increasing rapidly and other TV stations are going to occur along with advancing digital broadcasting. TV stations have to deal with copyrights in order to be able to use individual programmes (§ 18 and following paragraphs) which are part of their programme offers. With regard to the nature of this medium, copyrights of audiovisual materials and of materials used for audiovisual purposes are mainly going to be concerned, such as screenplay, music, camera, artistic design of the scene etc. Copyright Act gives the author an exclusive right to decide how s/he is going to use the work, as well as a right to permit third persons to use the work. It mostly happens on contract basis by means of a so called Special Licence Contract that was newly introduced in 2000 by current Copyright Act. Authorizations to use works are ex lege contained in other contracts too, on grounds of which a work designed for telecasting may be produced. I especially mean Contract for Work according to Civil Code or...

Problem Posing
Šilhavá, Marie ; Vondrová, Naďa (advisor) ; Zhouf, Jaroslav (referee)
This diploma thesis concentrates on problem posing from the students' point of view. Problem posing can be either seen as a teaching method which can be used in the class, or it can be used as a tool for researchers or teachers to assess the level of students' understanding of the topic. In my research, I compare three classes, one mathematics specialist class and two generalist classes, in their ability of problem posing. As an assessment tool it seemed that mathemathics specialists were able to pose problems at a higher level of sophistication while the generalist class students could pose more questions but at a lower level of sophistication. Problem posing is an issue that requires further study in the Czech educational context.
