For processing of this issue and determine the objectives was chosen quantitative...

The Hidden Avant-Garde. Czech Avant-Garde Fiction between Individualism and Collectivism
Malá, Zuzana ; Janoušek, Pavel (advisor) ; Hrbata, Zdeněk (referee) ; Flaišman, Jiří (referee)
in English This work focuses on the Czech afterwar avant-garde and its fiction in the wider European context. The main goal of our writing was diversifying literary historical field by integrating genre of short story and its authors into the interpretive frame of the prepoetistic avant-garde. We could intrude a canonic picture of the Czech avant-garde by enriching the interpretive frame of the new genre (short story) and new, often hardly known or forgotten, writers. Last but not least by doing so we were able to questioned and problematized basic oppositions such as expressionism × avant-garde, and mainly individualism × collectivism. We introduce the principal opposition individualism × collectivism, which in our opinion, organizes afterwar literary discourse, as a main connecting line between Czech avant-garde art and European art (collective and one of its manifestation - crowd, as one of the main themes of modernism and avant-garde). We interpretate beyond this scope the fictions of French unanimism as the main inspiration of the Czech afterwar avan-garde and its (collective) fiction as well.
Psychohygiene and Relaxing Methods at Teachers and Pupils (students) Work
Kantnerová, Marcela ; Krykorková, Hana (advisor) ; Valenta, Josef (referee)
My bachelor's work consists of two parts. In theoretical part I have occupied with stress, stress reaction and all combined attributes (the stress displays on the physical part, the emotional etc.) in person's life in general, then in teacher's and pupil's life. In this part I have also introduced various relaxation methods and techniques which are used precisely in the various kinds of stressful situations. The main goal of my second part of my bachelor's work, i.e. the practical part, was to find out if the teachers and pupils at the secondary schools or colleges welcomed the introduction of the relaxation moments (duration is 5 - 10 minutes) into lessons, then if the teachers welcomed a little methodical packet of the relaxation moments or if they were willing to complete a Music Therapy course or education. I have used a questionnaire made by myself to get the answers about these questions. The questionnaires were determined for secondary schools'(colleges') teachers and the pupils who are acting in the fourth year at the seconadry school (at the college). The results were shown the positive attitude to the relaxation techniques in lessons both by teachers and by pupils. In my bachelor's work I have also stated my proposal for the little methodological packet of short relaxation moments. KEY...
Issues of meaning of life and selected aspects of existential anxiety
Krátká, Eva ; Junková, Vendula (advisor) ; Niederlová, Markéta (referee)
KRÁTKÁ, Eva. The Issues of Meaning of Life and Selected Aspects of Existential Anxiety. Prague, 2012. Dissertation. Charles University in Prague, Philosophical Faculty, Department of Psychology. This dissertation explores issues of experiencing the meaningfulness of life and of selected aspects of existential anxiety, and it verifies whether there is some connection between some measure of meaninglessness of life being experienced and some measure of knowingly experienced existential anxiety and some selected factors which can influence our awareness of our anxiety. The research is focused mainly on adolescents and young and middle-aged adults of different genders, degrees of education and residences in the Czech republic. The survey included 170 respondents and was done with use of quantitative method. Obtained data were processed using the SPSS statistical program, and they are presented in the form of tables, graphs and commentaries. This study confirms an importance and frequency of existential beliefs and experiences and it shows that they are closely connected to an experienced meaningfulness of life and to some personality traits and circumstances of life. Therefore, a deeper research of this area seems to be beneficial and helpful not only from the therapeutic point of view alone.
Kierkegaard's philosophy of existence
Šimeček, Andrej ; Kouba, Pavel (advisor) ; Němec, Václav (referee)
This work takes as its central issue the existential movement as it appears in the philosophy of Soren Kierkegaard. There appears to be relatively little secondary literature on this topic, so it is a very fruitful area to explore. The texts explored include Kierkegaard's 'psychological' books, in particular Concept of Anxiety and Sickness unto Death. These provide our work with the crucial concepts of innocence, guilt, despair, anxiety, existence and spirit. From the more traditional philosophical works, Philosophical Fragments, Concluding Unscientific Postscript to Philosophical Fragments and Johannes Climacus have been utilised. These texts inform the work mostly on the meaning of movement, doubt, contradiction and absolute paradox. From the more lyrical works, this work is informed by Fear and Trembling and Repetition. Inquiry into these texts combined will provide a picture of existential movement as it is presented by Kierkegaard. This work attempts to capture the 'becoming subjective' which is so central to Kierkegaard's thought, through the reconstruction of the existential stages. It is also the purpose of this work (in the process) to treat areas of Kierkegaard's thought that are usually left untreated. The latter are for example, the problematic of the leap of sin, the unclear status of the...

Repeatability of behavioural measures of personality
Žampachová, Barbora ; Frynta, Daniel (advisor) ; Adamová, Dana (referee)
Personality is a concept enabling us to describe the systematical individual differences in behavior. It includes many behaviors, like exploration, activity, aggression, reaction to new stimuli, or sociability. The individuals differing in their exploration strategy are called fast and slow explorers, those differing in the level of aggression and the reaction to stress are called proactive and reactive individuals. If a certain group of behaviors appears together, we talk about behavioral syndromes. There are many definitions of personality, but most of them share a demand for time consistency. Repeatability is one of the tools for measuring this consistency. It's a correlation among repeated measures of the same individual. It is counted either as Spearman's or Pearson's correlation, or as an intraclass correlation coefficient, using variance components acquired from ANOVA, GLMM, or LMM. My original assumption was that the most repeatable behaviors are the ones demanding an immediate answer to the current situation. I executed a meta-analysis of the repeatability of behavior to test this hypothesis. I found the highest repeatability in aggression and the lowest in exploration. Other important factors were the identity of the source study, number of repeats, number of tested animals, and the method of...
