Models and tools for validation of biodiversity in the Dřevnice catchment
Cudlín, Ondřej ; Pechanec, V. ; Štěrbová, L. ; Cudlín, Pavel
We use several GIS tools to assess and predict the changes in biodiversity in the Dřevnice catchment. First,\nwe created GIS layer, consisted of natural and near to nature habitats (system Natura 2000) and Corine\nLand Cover for more anthropically influenced habitats. The Land Change Modeller was used to predict the\ndevelopment of land cover on the basis of comparison of data in several historical periods. To determine\nthe areas with high threat to biodiversity we created firstly another GIS layer of habitats with low\nnaturalness. Afterwards we used the model GLOBIO 3, which works with five basic driving forces (habitat\nnaturalness, infrastructure presence, distance from communications, nitrogen pollution load and\nmodelled climatic change parameters). GLOBIO 3 uses for each layer the MSA indicator (mean species\nabundance per area), which reflects the worldwide threat to selected endangered species. With regard to\nthe conditions of the Czech Republic and non‐availability of the nationwide database of finding data on\nprotected plant and animals, we should change this indicator for MHV (mean habitat value per area). Last\nGIS layer enables us to select up to now unprotected areas with a high value of biodiversity and naturalness of habitats for environmentally friendly agriculture and forestry management by model Marxan. The model combines the existing categories of natural reserves, biodiversity values (expressed in CZK according to Biotope Valuation Method) and the penalty for any nature degradation due to inadequate protection, abundance and distribution of species of interest (in this case the valuable and\npreserved habitats). Simultaneously it aims for a spatial compactness of design. The output is a layeridentifying the refugia for preservation and spreading of wild plants and animals to the cultural landscape,\nespecially with regard to climate change.

Moral Hazard of Humanitarian Intervention: Case Study Kosovo
Kodrazi, Suzan ; Lehmannová, Zuzana (advisor) ; Veselý, Zdeněk (referee) ; Pelikán, Jan (referee) ; Vávra, Přemysl (referee)
The main ambition of this doctoral thesis is to contribute to the development of interdisciplinary application of the concept of moral hazard developedin economic and insurance theory to the context of the inter-state conflicts with potential international intervention. The basic theoretical framework used in the thesis is derived from the concept of moral hazard of humanitarian intervention by Alan Kuperman who claims that the newly established norm of humanitarian intervention may well have unintended negative consequences. Kuperman argues that if the mere existence of insurance creates sufficient incentive for the insured to modify their behavior to the extent that they engage in the riskier behavior due to the fact that they are insured against the consequences of their actions, the rebels may well optimize their behavior in the same way. Currently, the transfer of the moral hazard theory to the context of interventions is hindered by a number of existing obstacles stemming from the differences in these areas. This thesis concentrates on reduction of three main identified drawbacks and addresses them by formulating three main research questions and derived hypothesis. The aim of this approach is to examine the limits of application and create the space for development of the concept of moral hazard of humanitarian intervention in the future research. (1) What is the interpretation potential, value added and limits of application of economic theory of moral hazard to the context of humanitarian intervention from the theoretical perspective? Hypothesis 1:The concept of moral hazard represents an efficienttool for evaluation of humanitarian intervention. (2) What is the potential of causal mechanism established by the Kuperman´s hypothesis to explain the reasons why in certain cases the state decides to escalate the inter-state conflict despite the public threats of intervention at a general level of research? Hypothesis 2: The threat of intervention causes the escalation of the inter-state conflict. (3) To what extent does Kuperman´s hypothesis modified to the conflict in Kosovo correspond with the actual state of affairs and their development? Hypothesis 3: The threat of intervention NATO/USA caused the escalation of conflict in Kosovo.

Economic Aspects of the Operation of Electric Vehicles - Case Study
Rodáková, Silvia ; Syrovátka, Oldřich (advisor) ; Král, Pavel (referee)
The bachelor thesis is dealing with the matter of electromobility. From the basic rules of how the electromobiles work, advantages and disadvantages, oportunities on the market, government support and perspectives for the future the thesis provides a concrete case study. The motiv for this case study is a considerable difference of the purchase price and costs for maintenance between an electromobile and a car with combustion engine. This case study consists of two sections. In the first part I compare both vehicles from a perspective of an user while the second part focuses on an energetic utility company. I used the basic economic aspects such as Rentability of an Investment, Net Present Value, Cash Flow or Break Even Point.

Simulation of stable crack growth in piping using comlete Gurson model
Korouš, Jan
The paper deals with simulation of stable crack growth using the complete Gurson model. The cracks were situated in a piping. An advantage of the complete Gurson model consists in the fact that the critical volume fraction for coalescence is not an input value, however it is calculated on the basis of Thomason's limit criterion of an material element with an internal void. The FEM system WARP3D was used for calculations and crack growth of cimcumferential and longitudinal cracks was simulated. In case of the longitudinal cracks, a specific crack growth was observed which is not proportional along the crack-tip length. The initial eliptical shape of the crack tip changes and becomes canoe-like one. This effect was experimentally observed and described in literature. It can be explained using stress triaxility distribution in front of the crack tip.

The main goal of this Bachelor's Thesis is to assess financial situation of the Elektroline, a.s. company with emphasis on identifying the benefits for the owners. I will mainly focus on Ratio indicators as Liquidity Ratios, Profitability Ratios, Activity Ratios and Leverage Ratios. I mention DuPont Model for a global and deeper view of the factors affecting the benefits for the owners. The added value is quantified by EVA indicator. Index models IN based on a statistical analysis of the data of other Czech companies serve as a determination of the financial health of the company. In conclusion there is the analysis of Working Capital, which records the development of current assets and the status of Net Working Capital adjusted for long-term items.

Risk analysis of the company Prestar's business plan
Bartoň, Daniel ; Špička, Jindřich (advisor) ; Vacík, Emil (referee)
The goal of this thesis is to compile a strategic business plan of the company Prestar and to identify and evaluate corresponding risks. A substantial part of the turnover is generated by business activities in Russia which recently exhibits unstable development. Strategic analysis is conducted based on the findings, key risk factors are identified and an estimate of the enterprise value based on discounted cash flow is calculated. Finally the influence of the identified risk factors on the enterprise value is simulated using the Monte Carlo method. The key risk factors include wage growth rate, development of sales generated in Russia and the exchange rate.

Hájek, Michal ; Šafránek, Jiří (advisor) ; Baláš, Jiří (referee)
Title: Ventilation values ofelementary and middle school students during their physical education classes. Dissertation goal: To find out volume ofventilation values of elementary and middle school students during their physical education classes. To accomplish tlůs goal we divided the work into three fazes: - laboratory endurance test of primary school students - measuring heart rate with sport-testers Polar Vantage NV during physical education classes - calculating the amount ofventilation during PE classes using heart rate results and laboratory endurance test results Process used in the project: To find out the amount ofventilations in primary school students during their physical education classes we used, laboratory endurance test and heart rate measuring test. We used regression line to obtain ventilation values during PE classes. Results: The results are concrete values of ventilation of thirty six students from two primary schools during their physical education classes. Average value of ventilation in the group ZŠ Petřiny 7.class is 1105 litters per PE-lesson, in the group ZŠ Petřiny 5. class is 1075 litters per PE-lesson, in the group ZŠ Mikulandská 7. class is 1596 litters per PE-lesson and in the group ZŠ Mikulandská 5.class is 1285 litters per PE-lesson.
