Institution of School in the End of History
Mach, Ivo ; Hauser, Michael (advisor) ; Hogenová, Anna (referee)
Resume The main concern of the thesis is about institution of school as a scope of changeover domain of episthemical, ethical and economic/political/power discourse. The methodological approach based on the Michel Foucault's theory of the power and knowledge concurrence is used. Further, several perceptions of critical economics, sociology and political studies are also utilised. The hypothesis is that the institution of school have been methamorphosed coherently to the discourses and within of contexts of transfiguration of social-economic conditions in the course of human events, specifically in 19th , 20th and 21st centuries. The school is considered a power. The institution of school is changing its contents and functions during the history, however, the power has been kept as its proper characteristic in any case. And as the thesis demonstrates that power is even becoming a softer and subtle one while being accordant with the current claims of global capitalism. That can be expressed by the concept of so-called "knowledge society".

Blažková, Kristýna ; Kovář, Martin (advisor) ; Soukup, Jaromír (referee)
This thesis deals with development of approach of Sir Winston Churchill to European integration during the years 1945 to 1955. It tries to capture the change in Churchill's views and attitudes since the Prime Minister was Clement Attlee, until when he returned to this office himself. And both in terms of integration and national affairs. For this reason the work outlines the development of several major integration efforts and organizations, from the Council of Europe to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. The thesis also analyzes Churchill's relationship with the United States and the Soviet Union and its efforts to achieve a summit meeting between these two States and Great Britain. Conciliation and agreement with Russia became for Churchill after 1951 a priority and therefore is to this topic devoted a large part in the conclusion of this thesis.

Design of excavator
Brza, Lukáš ; Zdařil, Zdeněk (referee) ; Křenek, Ladislav (advisor)
The design of the excavator follows requirements of machines for demolition work. The excavator is equipped with an innovative type of under carriage, which not only increases mobility over the demolition sites but also the visibility from the driver’s cabin. The components of the excavator, that improve the demolition work, are special types of tracks, suspensions and articulated steering. Tracks can change their shape to increase the stability and also to adapt to the diff erent types of ground. The suspensions with tracks are able to adapt to the terrain thereby they lighten the asperity. Suspension can also tilt or even raise the excavator and thereby increase the angle of visibility from the cabin. This function is necessary mainly when taking down higher constructions. Articulated steering is a new function that has never been used for excavators. This steering was chosen due to fl exible movement over demolition sites. The main aim of the project is to create a new design of the excavator, but more importantly to distinguish the excavator from the excavators already on the market, with regards to its esthetics and under carriage innovation.

Porovnání účinků sinusového magnetického pole 0.1 mT a 0.05 mT na inhibici adherence leukocytů a účinků střídavého a stejnosměrného magnetického pole
Jandová, Anna ; Mhamdi, L. ; Nedbalová, M. ; Čoček, A. ; Trojan, S. ; Dohnalová, A. ; Pokorný, Jiří
Effects of exposure to magnetic fields are investigated by means of the Leukocyte Adherence Inhibition assay using T lymphocytes taken from healthy humans and from patients with malignant tumors before and after medical treatment. Exposures to magnetic field 0.1 mT and 0.05 mT have similar effects. Effects of exposure to AC and DC magnetic fields are similar too. Increase of adherence after exposure support the hypothesis that magnetic field changes immune function in humans.

Optoelectronic sensor of polarization state of transmitted light
Bajgar, Aleš ; Rampl, Ivan (referee) ; Tománek, Pavel (advisor)
The living body tissues consist of cells which dimensions are bigger than a wavelength of visible light. Therefore a Mie scattering of transmitted light occurs and different polarization states arise. The changes of polarization state due to the multiple scattering of light in the biological cellular tissues allow measure the aging of biological tissue. The transmitted polarized laser light exhibits multiple scattering on the thin slice of sample.
