Life of early adults after leaving childrens home
ČEGANOVÁ STEJSKALOVÁ, Radka
The Bachelor Thesis discusses the issue of young adults leaving the children´s homes. After leaving the institutional education the youth very often find themselves in difficult life situations they are not ready to deal with. The objective of this thesis is to analyze the life of youth after leaving the children´s homes. The youth very often leave the institutional education facilities without housing and employment having been prearranged, and want to become independent as soon as possible. Unlike their peers who grew up in families, they have no place to return in case they do not succeed in achieving their independence. The thesis includes a theoretical part which focuses on the issue of socialization, its definition, objectives and mechanisms, as well as on the significance of family during the process of one´s socialization. This part also identifies the specifics of children´s socialization in children´s homes, and also on risks associated with institutional education. It than discusses the process of leaving children´s home and one´s further possibilities and perspectives, respectively in a close connection to the social system and its available services and forms of support. The liaison between the theoretical and practical part is a chapter devoted to the social care organization ?Rozmarýna, o.p.s.?, describing its objectives, principles and specific programs. The practical part consists of four case studies that focus not only on youth just before they leave children´s home, but also on those youth who already left children´s home. The bachelor thesis helped me to gain a perspective on the issue of young adults leaving children´s home, as well as to find out what their problems are, how they solve them, and what the causes of their problems are.

Differences between men and women in the Czech labour market
Stroukal, Dominik ; Kadeřábková, Božena (advisor) ; Pavelka, Tomáš (referee) ; Němec, Otakar (referee)
This thesis consists of five articles that apply current world research on labor economics at the Czech Republic and confirms the significant differences between men and women in this market. It shows that gender has a significant influence on the preference on the labor market and, consequently, on employment and health. First, the thesis shows that preferences are relevant determinant of career and then we study the difference in preference of salary for men and women. Subsequently it shows that gender plays a significant role in explaining the relationship between homeownership, and unemployment, as well as unemployment and health. The first chapter was able to demonstrate that the preference for a career has a positive influence on the choice of career. The influence of higher education on prioritizing career proved to be positive and significant. Probability of a career choice is reduced by the presence of children, however, is not dependent on their number, which is contrary to the theory of preferences. The second chapter shows that Czech women prefer more non-monetary rewards than men. It has also been shown that people with university education are same in the preferences of non-monetary rewards regardless of the gender of the respondents, however, compared to the world's research, the Czech higher education increases this preference. It turned out that women prefer risk less than men. The third chapter demonstrates that although the housing market undermines labor mobility and employment in the Czech Republic at the regional level, therefore, that in regions with a higher rate of home ownership is higher unemployment, at the individual level, the owners of housing are unemployed are less likely. The estimates are significantly different for men and women. Men living in owner-occupied housing have a higher likelihood of employment than women. At regional level, however, this thesis shows that the high rate of home ownership increases unemployment for both men and women, in the long run only to women. The fourth chapter showed that men transition to homeownership reduces the likelihood of unemployment next year. For women, this relationship has proved to be insignificant. In addition, as insignificant showed the opposite relationship, the transition from unemployment to the newly acquired home ownership. The last chapter shows that the change in the working status to unemployment will increase in the future probability of worse health. Influence in less than two years, however, proved to be significant. An important conclusion is that men have a significantly stronger relationship between health and unemployment than women.

Rose Tremain:Historical Novels
Koucká, Anna ; Nováková, Soňa (advisor) ; Clark, Colin Steele (referee)
Rose Tremain, a contemporary British author born in 1943, belongs among the most talented writers of her generation. Nonetheless, her works are not as successful as they would deserve. Two historical novels of hers - Music and Silence (1999) and especially Restoration (1989) - have brought her a remarkable popularity, which, however, did not last long. The purpose of this thesis is to make the reader better acquainted with these two texts and examine their literary influences. This thesis focuses mainly on 'historiographic metafiction', a term crucial to understanding Tremain's historical novels. Historiographic metafiction is a postmodern art form, related to the ideas of New Historicism questioning our notion of history. This school of literary theory shows history as a human construct by stressing the fictitiousness of any historical report. It points out that history - the multiple interpretations of past - may be no less fictitious than fiction itself. The decentralization and disorder which are characteristic for historiographic metafiction may be expressed by various literary methods. This thesis concentrates on four of them, typical for Tremain's postmodern historical novels: blending of history and the fantastic, changing discourses, specific narrative strategies and creative anachronisms....

Janebová, Eva ; Kasíková, Hana (advisor) ; Slavík, Milan (referee) ; Mestenhauser, Josef Artur (referee)
The thesis elaborates on a topical issues, namely how can a higher education institution react to changing interdependent world around. The neediness of this topic proves the fact that internationalization has recently become a priority of Czech higher education policy (Longterm vision of ministry, 2005); however, there has been no research based on theories of international education or a theoretical study on the topic. The author in the first chapter introduces the goals, limitations, structure of the study, and defines major terms (international education and internationalization) and other that she uses throughout the paper. The second chapter the author analyses the development of international education in USA and Europe in the last fifty years. Further, she offers a comprehensive and well-arranged review of current approaches to internationalization: a) the first one is called Internationalization as Europeanization; b) the second one is a just recent critical reaction to envisaging internationalization in terms of mobility; c) the third concept indicates ways of just "adding-on" international dimension; d) the last on the list looks at internationalization from the system-wide perspective and describes it as institutional change including all its components, in particular its curriculum,...

Educational systems from the perspective of theory of culture
Umožňuje spojení poznatků různých vědních disciplin, jejichž výsledky se do souvislostí dostávají v běžné i odborné literatuře spíše výjimečně, a tím otevírá další možnosti řešení specifických problémů a bádání v dané oblasti.

Analysis of physical education at primary and secondary schools from the standpoint of physiotherapy.
MAŤÁKOVÁ, Kateřina
Lack of physical activity is a dominant part of current lifestyle. It results in many lifestyle diseases and is the primary cause of posture disorders in schoolchildren. In particular, of all the long term problems monitored by physicians, the third most significant are those of motoric functions, following behind allergic deceases and sensory defects. The bachelor thesis "Analysis of PE at the primary and secondary schools from the standpoint of physiotherapy" consists of a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part focuses on information about lifestyle, the effect of regular physical activity on our body and which diseases can be prevented or reduced through regular exercise. Furthermore there is a chapter concerning the anatomy of a child's motoric apparatus, of the postural function, the motoric ontogenesis, basic motoric abilities in the early age and the psychological factors of children's sport activities. Achieved results are presented in the practical part. Both quality and quantity research strategies were used for the evaluation. Data collection was carried out by testing 18 pupils at primary and secondary schools and by analysing the educational programmes of 9 primary and 12 secondary schools in Mlada Boleslav. The research took place in Spring 2012. The aim of this study was to find out whether the PE concept at primary and secondary schools is satisfactory and sufficient for the maintenance of certain mobility and agility levels. Three hypotheses were set. The H1-hypothesis assumed that PE at primary schools only took place twice a week, this hypothesis was confirmed. The H2-hypothesis, which supposed that PE at secondary schools only took place twice a week, was also confirmed. However, based on the data found, it was not possible to confirm the H3-hypothesis, which assumed that primary schools do not sufficiently develop after-school sport activities. Abdominal muscles, lower back spinal muscles and gluteus muscles proved to be the most frequently weakened muscle groups. Evaluating which age group has the least problems with shortened and weakened muscles, it is unambiguously year 1 girls at secondary schools. With respect to the obtained results, it would be appropriate to pay more attention to the PE concept and after-school exercise activities, emphasise exercise during school breaks and integrate stretching exercises also into regular classes, especially for the 7-11 age group, when the biggest increase in faulty posture habits occurs.
