Because of financial sustainability of social security system are states forced to be stricter in conditions for receiving social benefits. The main problem of the Czech Republic is a constant increase of expenditures on old-age pension which is nowadays the biggest item of public social expenditures. Another area where the Czech Republic has higher expenditures compared to Great Britain is the area of unemployment compensation. The Czech Republic can partly inspire in British structure of public social expenditures. The Czech Republic could increase expenditures on active labor market programs which should decrease expenditures on unemployment compensation.
