The diversity of personality and spirituality types in the priesthood
Beran, Jiří ; Sládek, Karel (advisor) ; Ovečka, Libor (referee)
The diversity of personality and forms of spirituality in the priesthood Every priest, who received the serving, sacramental priesthood, should try to be another Christ. Nevertheless, each person is an original however, and his behavior is influenced by inherited characteristics, congenital conditions, and different life stories. During my studies of theology, I tried to explain the differences related to the priests I followed, by their different attitude toward Christ and his church. During my studies, I also started to perceive the importance of the priest's attitude toward the humanity of Christ. The connexion to the orthodoxy has always attraced me. While I was writing my thesis, I tried to find the answer to the differencies in the diversity, which, for many people within the church, is a problem to settle with, or to justify. So, the thesis is dedicated to the research of the personalities of the priests, to their own attitude, their own spirituality, and its influence on people. I would like this thesis to help to make people understand that we can all reach the same Destination by using more possible ways, which depend on our humanity and our nature. I am convinced that just the good spirituality is something which respects the diversity and the unrepeatability of the particular ways. Key...

The empirical part uses qualitative research (used methods are half-structured interview, free aassociations and marginally also analysis of a drawing) on people's conception of death, their explanation of death and feelings related to the topic, their fears and wishes. The findings are of qualitative character and they were obtained from 28 respondents. The results of empirical part could provide valuable psychological material in the area, that is even nowadays still concidered to be a taboo. They could deepen research in the area that, due to the overall aging of population, would be more and more valuable. Keywords: death, dying, mourning, burial, death in psychology, spirituality, deaht and religion, afterlife, spiritism, near-death experience

This topic is part of a wider discussion about human sexuality in theology and history. A part of the thesis includes a historical review which is connected to the current systematic reflection. The thesis takes notice of the different approaches and possible consequences of them, e.g. the image of women in texts that discuss the celibate way of life. It also observes the possibility of a better connection to the present culture and social sciences. Poet Karel Doskočil
Krásenská, Klára ; Sládek, Miloš (advisor) ; Kudlová, Klára (referee)
Karel Doskočil (1908-1962), historiographer, archivist, editor and poet passes unnoticed over a long period of time. This thesis' primary goal is to introduce Doskočil's work in the literary historical context, including two published collections Větve stromů (1941) and Milosrdenství (1947) and other unpublished texts as a part of Doskočil's estate. Approaching Doskočil's literary work in its wholeness (as enabled though access to personal archive) as well as putting it into perspective of the so-called catholic literature appears to be a desirable reminder of an author threatened by collective oblivion. The thesis also remembers Doskočil's scientific activities, altough it does not constitute a crucial subject of our work.
Feminine Spirituality by Miranda Gray Focusing on the Worldwild Womb Blessing as a Spiritual Practice New Age
Grunclová, Karolína ; Vojtíšek, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Kostićová, Zuzana (referee)
This diploma thesis processes the results of qualitative research, participant observation, which I carried out during 2022 and from the beginning of 2023 from the online seminars of the Womb Blessing spirituality and the meditations associated with it. The choice of the topic was motivated by my previous interest in the phenomenon of female spirituality and forming contemporary women's spiritualities in the Czech Republic - because these are currently gaining strength, diverse manifestations. I wanted to find a form of female spirituality in which I could find a pure female core and manifestations. I chose a women's open group formed around the person of Miranda Gray and her cyclical spirituality. I wanted to discover the form of female spirituality in the Czech Republic, which could be classified under the New Age by Wounter Hanegraaff. In the first part of the work, I deal with the definition of the conceptual apparatus, in the second part I deal with the general characteristics of contemporary eclectic spirituality, generally referred to as the New Age movement. In the third part, I turn to my own qualitative research. Further, in the fourth part, I compare Gray's spirituality with the concept of the New Age according to Hanegraaff. I come to the conclusion that the worldwide blessing of the...

Research Topic Alternative Spirituality(ies) in the Czech DIY Punk Subculture : Beliefs, Practices and Experiences in a non-spiritual subculture, a comparative study between the scenes of Vsetínsko and the city of Ostrava 1. Statement of the problem (what?) The Czech republic is known to be a strongly atheist country with a strong tendency toward alternative spiritualities. The aim of this study is to investigate differences in spirituality within the DIY punk subculture depending on the area, where the members live and practice or experience their spirituality. The comparison will be between the Ostrava scene (a big lowland city capital of a highly industrialized region) and the Vsetínsko region (a hilly, small town region). 2. Merit of studying the problem (why?) This study could be revelant for the field of subcultural studies, as well as spirituality studies, as it investigates spirituality in a non-spiritual and ubiquitous subculture. Its merit lies in its so far unexplored nature as no study about DIY punks' spirituality has been conducted yet, especially in...
