The bachelor thesis deals with the transformation of socialist blocks of flats after 1989. The theoretical part focuses on the development of middle and eastern countries. It discusses the development of Czechoslovak panels and their particular specifics over the forty years. The second part of theoretical chapter deals with architectural, urban, sociological and marginal and economic or cultural aspects. Current trends in development of prefabricated housing estates in the last twenty years are described here. In the empirical part there is a detailed description of a smaller panel housing estate located in Tábor, and its transformations after 1989 from the sociological and also architectonic point of view. The empirical part consists of qualitative research, which describes a panel housing estate as it is perceived in historical transformations by its inhabitants from the ranks of seniors. The research is primarily concerned with the transformation of settlement relations and the issues of current security in the housing estate and revitalization changes.

Aristocratic Residence in Modern Times: Changes of Historical Park in Krásný Dvůr

The thesis is focused on the development of historical park in Krásný Dvůr. History of the park is researched on the basis of accessible sources and presented in five chapters, including the period of time between the years 1783 and 1986. The reasons for both establishment and reconstructions of the park are illustrated with essays that had been written by famous visitors of the park, with official owners' records and with correspondence about the park in Krásný Dvůr. A special attention is focused on reconstructions that were done in this period. The changes of built-up area and field adjustments documented and compared with present situation. The aim of the thesis is to draw a rich historical line of the park that will help to popularise the site in Krásný Dvůr. Keywords Aristocratic residence, modern times, Krásný Dvůr, park, changes.

Changes of regional pattern of European Union in maps

One of purposes of this bachelor thesis is to create vizualization of statistical data that can be obtained from Eurostat. Author focuses on modern trends in geoinformatics and uploads all the graphs and maps, that were created during the work on this thesis, on the web page "regionalni.evropa.sweb.cz". The web page is accessible for the broad public so that everyone could interactively study the outcomes of this thesis. Second part of the thesis is focused on development of regional disparities within analyzed states. Author analyses economical and demographical data for which is being counted variance and standard deviation. Inner Peripheries of contemporary Prague in the archives documents - trends and sonds

This diploma thesis, entitled Inner Peripheries of contemporary Prague in the archives documents - trends and sonds, deals with changes originally separated urban areas located outside Prague, which went through significant transformations during last 150 years. For this thesis three studies were selected: city districts Karlín, Libeň and Vysočany. All three peripheries were originally separated areas of rural type which were located near centre of Prague. With the arrival of industry in the middle of 19th Century they turned into heavily industrial areas, in the beginning of 20th Century merged with the capital city, thus creating Great Prague. Many changes took place also with river Vltava regulations. During last 25 years the capital city is being modernized. This modernization is connected with additional changes in peripheries: old and unused factories are demolished and new buildings are built on their places or they are converted for other purposes. Because of this there are another impacts on the surrounding landscape. This issue also concerns industrial herritage: its main purpose is preservation and protection of former industrial buildings. The main goal of this thesis is description of these changes and their impact on the landscape with using maps, pictorial and written sources.

Progress in trends of foreign pre-primary and primary schools

This dissertation deals with new approaches of alternative schooling in foreign countries which recently became very popular. These three schools and approaches chosen for this dissertation are not known in Czech Republic yet. The dissertation presents these alternative schools and proposes alternative brushing up of the ideas to the maintain schools. The first school and the first approach of alternative is democratic school or also free school. The oldest democratic school is Summerhill in the east of England. The second interesting approach and school is Te Whāriki from New Zealand. The framework deals with education through socio-cultural context. The last representative of schooling which dissertation deals with will be Reggio Emillia, which is from Italy and based on ideas of Loris Malaguzzi. The dissertation applies to main philosophies of these three alternatives, which appears abroad and mainly in Great Britain. This piece of work evaluates similarities and differences of these alternative schools. According to from which country the concrete school comes from and circumstances influencing the origin. Myth of female beauty

Diese Diplomarbeit beschäftigt sich mit dem zeitgenössichen Trend des Körperkultes und mit dem Mythus der Schönheit, mit seinen biologischen und kulturell historischen Wurzeln. Ich versuche aufzuklären, warum die Schönheit in der heutigen Gesellschaft so geschlechtsbedingt ist. Und warum gerade die Frau mit dem schönen Geschlecht identifiziert wird. Weiter studiere ich gesellschaftliche Mechanismen, die eine Jagd nach dem perfekten Körper legitimieren. Ich beschreibe auch ihre Folgen auf der individuellen und gesellschaftlichen Ebene.

Witchcraft and Inquisition in "El Crotalón" from a historical-literary perspective

The master's thesis Witchcraft and Inquisition in literal and historical context of "El Crótalon" offers a look at displays od the Witchcraft in the literature of first half of the 16th century with special attention on classical Greek and Roman literal models. Furthermore, the thesis analyzes the influence of Erasmus'work and impact of the Reformation movement on intelectual panorama as well as on the popular opinion; it concentrates on the evolution of Witchcraft and its growing influence over the social life. It also studies how the changing caracter of the Witchcraft reflected in the literal activity of its times. Second part of the thesis is dedicated to religious aspects of the Witchcraft, its connection with heretical movements and persecutions by the Inquisition.

Holešovice, landscape changes in 19th and 20th Century

This bachelor's thesis, entitled Holešovice, landscape changes in 19th and 20th Century deals with the development of city district Holešovice in Prague. The main period of research was narrowed down to period from 1820s to the end of 1970s because of the accessibility of sources. This bachelor's thesis is divided into ten main chapters which describe urban and housing development of this city district. Chapter one contains information about all sources and literature that was used here and second chapter is about methods of processing. Chapter three describes basic information about Holešovice and their administrative development. Chapter four is about historic development of this district from its beginning to 1820s, which is the turning point. Next chapters deal with progressive changes of the district from 1823, when the first factory in Holešovice was built and because of it Holešovice started to change from agricultural village into industrial district. Chapters five to ten represent particular periods of development defined according to important events or construction of important buildings and other compounds. Changes in the presentation of teachers in Czech newspapers

Thesis "Changes in the presentation of teachers in Czech newspapers" explores how teachers have been presented on the pages of Czech newspapers in several phases of Czech history since the "First Czechoslovak Republic". For the purposes of the analysis twelve years and three dates in each year have been chosen. Thesis includes the comparison of the media texts from different years. The narrative analysis has been selected as a method for analysing several prominent Czech newspapers: Národní politika, Národní listy, Rudé Právo, Lidová demokracie, Mf Dnes and Právo. Thesis is divided into three main sections: the first section provides definitions of terms related to the media representation, the second one describes the methods which have been used and the third one is the most important part which contains the analysis. There are changes but also similarities in the media presentation of teachers in the Czech history. The changes occurred mainly in the transitions between these four periods: the First Czechoslovak Republic, Second World War, the period of socialism and the period after 1989.
