Visual Representations of the Mother in Pre-School Children's Art

This work is focusing on the issue of the portrayal of the mother in artistic statement of preschool children with a consideration on potential reflections of the changes in the conception of the role of the mother in the public. The theoretical part is focusing on present state of discoveries about the mother and motherhood from the viewpoints of the sociology and gender studies. It also deals with the viewing of the mother with the children in the visual arts from the first half of the twentieth century. The analysis part brings findings about the viewing of the mother with the children in the present visual arts and further description and the evaluation of the present practice of the lead of the art activities in the kindergartens. In the last phase of the research is a pedagogical experiment, which at the same time makes up the core of the didactic work. Together with other research findings it also is a starting point for proposal of new approaches to the theme "Mother", focusing on overcoming present thematic stereotypes in art activities that is lead by teachers in kindergartens. The concluding work makes up the summary of all research findings, which are encouraging to didactic evaluations.
Music as a Significant Means for Speech Cultivation in Pre-School Children

This dissertation of an interdisciplinary character involves music education, music psychology, linguistics and special education. In the theoretical part of the thesis the author explains the term timbre from the musicological and linguistic perspective; characterizes timbre hearing as a musical hearing ability; introduces and compares timbre and phonemic hearing tests; describes the development of musicality and speech of pre-school children from an ontogenetic perspective, and emphasizes hearing atten- tion as a prerequisite for their advancement. The author also characterizes disruption of these abilities and describes reeducation therapies that involve elements of music education and mu- sic therapy. A field study described in the practical part of the thesis has a form of fundamental research and experiment. Research participants were 180 pre-school children. A field study is addressing the relationship between speech and musical manifestations of pre-school children with atypi- cal speech development. The aim of the experiment was to search for the most effective com- bination of music and language education with positive influence on both musicality and speech. Thesis entitled Diagnosis of children with different mother tongue in preschool age deals with the issue of diagnosis of children with different mother tongue in preschool age, specifically deals with approaches, methods and possibilities of diagnosing children with different mother tongue in preschool age. Thesis focuses on the diagnosis of the development of a child of preschool age, outlines the diagnosis of a child in kindergarten, and especially describes and charts the methods and procedures for diagnosing these children in pedagogical-psychological counseling. The aim of this thesis is to clarify these issues, describe the legislative basis for the education and support of children with different mother tongue in preschool age and the specifics of these children. Social and Work Climate in the Kindergarten

The present thesis summarises information about today's kindergarten, about its important curriculum policy documents and about the main participants of its educational process - the teacher and the pre-school children. It deals with the school climate and with its influencing factors, focusing on the work climate in kindergartens, namely on human relations, communication and its risks. This thesis maps and evaluates kindergarten teachers' perception of the social and work climate and what they find prominent, how the school/class climate quality influences kindergarten teachers' work performance, what sort of factors encourage the optimal climate and what sort of factors curb it. It aims to verify the functioning of teachers' pedagogical cooperation in classroom curriculum development and the functioning of collective activities in kindergarten. Planning Art Education in Pre-school

Master's dissertation occupies with art planning in kindergarten, meaning the planning of art activities for preschool children. Master's dissertation is divided into theoretical and practical part. Theoretical part occupies with art lesson, it's history, goals and also planning of the art lessons. Next the dissertation occupies with general planning in kindergartens and goals of preschool education. Last section is dedicated to development of a preschool child with emphasis on development of drawing and on main features of drawing from preschool child. Practical part presents 2 case studies of art planning by the concept from theoretical part. First case study refers to my own planning and connection of art planning with planning of thematic units in kindergarten and their realization. Second case study occupies with concept handover of art planning to another educator by teaching activities and his own planning and realization in kindergarten. How to use a project called "School of Songs" in Kindergartens

The diploma thesis focuses on targeted use of authorial songs from the project "School of Songs" to interconnect all educational areas in kindergarten with the emphasis on children's own creativity. The theoretical part deals with important developmental aspects of pre-school and primary school children, focuses on musical activities and how to integrate musical education in kindergartens. Diploma thesis also looks closely on the musical project "School of Songs", originally intended for children of younger school age. Furthermore it introduces a follow-up project "School of Song to Kindergartens", reworked with the benefit of preschool children with regard to their developmental specifics. The practical part focuses on verifying the benefits of the project "School of Songs to kindergartens". The songs were incorporated into the school educational program, a new didactic material was created, implemented and verified in 59 kindergartens over the two years period. Inclusion of children with physical disabilities in nursery school

The bachelor thesis deals with the topic of inclusion of children with physical disabilities in pre- primary education. The theoretical part summarizes the knowledge of the development and current state of common education of children in pre-primary facilities. The legislative framework for education of children with physical disabilities in the Czech Republic is analyzed. The specifics of education of children with physical disabilities and possibilities of their support in kindergarten are outlined. Attention is also paid to the requirements for the personality of a teacher or pedagogical assistant in an inclusive environment in interaction with children with physical disabilities. In the practical part, the methodological basis of empirical research is first defined, which consisted in processing a number of case studies of children with physical disabilities, which were included in pre-primary education in mainstream nursery schools. The data were collected through in-depth interviews with nursery school teachers and analysis of school documents and other documentation for individual children. Categories were created for data analysis and evaluated.
