The Prestige of Teachers Occupation

Thesis deals with the prestige of the teaching profession. Its main goal is to try to find out how teachers themselves perceive the prestige connected with their profession. The research consisted of in-depth semi-structured interviews with teachers on this issue and their subsequent analysis. It turned out that although teachers occupy on occupational prestige scales regularly top positions within the interviews they spoke about very low prestige connected with their occupation. The thesis also presents and describes in detail the factors based on analysis of interviews which emerged in connection with low self-esteem of teachers in terms of prestige as a major. This mainly concerns the relatively low income and the related lower standard of living, which forces teachers to have a secondary income. Furthermore, the analysis showed that teachers low self-esteem is affected by alleged lower difficulty of faculties of education, difficult assesment of work results and underastimated difficulty of work from the publics point of view. Not forgetting the little influence of educational unions and the lack of professional organizations that defend the interests of teachers. Prestige of the teaching profession

1 Abstrakt Bachelor thesis is focused on the prestige of the teaching profession. The theoretical part is devoted to the specification of the basic conscepts like prestige, social status and teacher. In the next part I characterize the teaching profession as a full-fledged profession which is focused on profession identity of teachers, demands on teachers, the most common problems which the teachers in their jobs face and the responsibilities of teachers. In the next part I descibe particular elements, which shape and influence the prestige of the theaching profession. The practical part of the thesis is based on a questionnaire survey, which was given to the students and teachers of the elementary school Most, Václava Talicha 1855 and on the leading of structured interviews that were made with teachers who work at this school. The aim of this research is to find out how students and teachers of the selected school perceive the prestige of teaching profession. Next goal is to infer and substantiate the level of prestige of the teaching profession, which students and teachers attribute to the teaching proffesion at this elementary school. Problems of alcoholism in relation to working life

The bachelor thesis deals with the problems of alcoholism in relation to working life. First, the attention is paid to alcoholism itself in terms of its conception, process and an individual who suffers from it. Then the thesis focuses on three possible causes of alcoholism associated with working life, which are stress, tolerant environment to alcohol consumption and unemployment. The attention is also aimed at high-risk professions of hospitality workers, laborers, medics and artists; it also deals with the impact of alcoholism on job performances of both an alcoholic and his colleagues. The thesis is also concerned with the problem of alcohol in the workplace in terms of the Labour Code and the employer sanctions. This topic is illustrated by a specific example of an employer procedure in addressing problems with alcohol in the workplace. Besides, the thesis addresses the issue of alcoholism prevention in connection with working life. In the end, the theoretical findings are illustrated by an alcoholic's work experiences as well as with the perspective of an individual who was in a close working contact with an alcoholic.
Company Culture Aspects in View of Christian Ethics

The subject of the thesis "Aspects of corporate culture from the viewpoint of Christian ethics" is to analyze the phenomenon of corporate culture in the perspective of Christian ethics and the requirements of sustainable development as the basic prerequisite for sustainable development of life on Earth. An integral part of the research is to explore the terms under which employees are willing not only to meet the tasks set by their employers, but also provide their best abilities and skills for the good of their enterprise. "Learning organization", Christian ethics in the organization and the principles of sustainability are the three discourses which are involved. The theoretical part of the thesis summarizes the theoretical knowledge about corporate culture and its meaning, its specific type of "learning organization", Christian ethics and especially the Catholic morality applied in terms of business administration while respecting sustainability for quality of life and the environment. Who was your mother? Who are your uncles and aunts? The concept of family background and selected demographic phenomena in the work of Jane Austen in comparison with the Austen family and historical-demographic research for England at the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries

The presented master thesis deals with the work of Jane Austen. The author's novels are analysed from the perspective of the concept of the family, both from a literary and demographic point of view. These research questions constitutes two subject of the examination. The first subject is the family, as it is the cornerstone of Jane Austen's short stories. The objective of this work is to analyse the extent to which family relationships determine the possibilities of the main characters and heroines; how the heroines benefit from family ties or, on the contrary, want to escape from them. The conclusions show that Austen applied this determination in all studied novels. This work further examines the degree of cooperation and rivalry of the individual families in the novels. At this point, a significant diversity of interfamily relationships was found. Secondly, this work maps selected demographic idiosyncrasies in Jane Austen's family, in the families from her short stories, and in historical demographic studies of England at the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries. A personal encounter with Jesus opens the way to inner transformation: Jesus and the Samaritan woman at the well (John 4:1-42)

In this Diploma Thesis, I am trying to personally grasp the pericope of the Gospel of John describing the meeting of Jesus with a woman of Samar′ia. Within the stated methodological procedures, the intention was to point out to the infinite source of inspiration in Scriptura sacra, in other contexts as well. An individual approach towards the specific text is also important. In the introduction, the historical environment of this story's origin from the fourth chapter of the Gospel of John is mentioned, within the perspective of social, national and cultural phenomena. The authentic development of the meeting itself is gradually monitored. Jesus' answer is loving and at the same time, uncovers personal depths. There are a lot of dialogue levels that gradually go to the transformation of the addressed woman of Samar′ia. Working with this biblical text is primarily focused on the topics that are practically considered when investigating the connections of a specific person in the specific life situation and God as Jesus Christ. Diploma thesis focuses on communication and human resource management in construction companies. The aim of this thesis a proposal communication standards to ensure the integration of new employees into the organization, clarify the business strategy, providing information about the main objectives and financial performance of the company and performance management. This thesis focuses on businesses that specialize in civil engineering. To achieve the objektive the author used to questionnaire survey in five companies (n = 104), semi-structured interviews with company employees Galur, Ltd. (n = 17) and interviews with employers selected five companies (n = 5) for the comparison of the results. Overall, the results achieved, it was concluded that current employees have built a strong corporate culture and are at an advanced age and there is hardly newcomers adapt employees.The results of this thesis were formulated into proposals to create adaptation plan for securing new employees in the company and Deník parťáka, for better provision of information, management employees in the company.
