Title: Management of the McDonald's Cup 2015 final tournament Objectives: The main objective of this thesis is to provide a detailed analysis of the management of the McDonald's Cup 2015 final tournament known as the Festival of Football, to present its strengths, weaknesses, potential opportunities and threats and then, based on previous analyses, to create a list of suggestions and recommendations leading to the elimination of the weaknesses and threats and thus to development, increase of the popularity and to improvement of the hosting the McDonald's Cup in the next years. Methods: In order to achieve the objectives of this thesis, within the case study methods of participating observation, informal in-depth interview, document analysis and SWOT analysis were used. Results: The thesis describes in detail the whole process of organizing the mentioned youth sports event from the preparatory phase through the planning phase and implementation to completion and evaluation. The case study revealed deficiencies of the event especially in the area of financial security, promotion and in the event program. Nursery School Management in Central Bohemia - Managerial Functions

The topic of this thesis is the management system of kindergartens in Central Bohemia from the perspective of applying managerial functions. Due to legislative changes, kindergartens were more or less given considerable autonomy imposing high requirements on their directors in the area of management. The quality of educational process of each kindergarten and its further development potential depends on its management. The research part focuses on strategic planning, communication system parameters, obligations of employees, task delegation, implementation of inspection activities and school evaluation system parameters. The aim of this thesis is to point out potential problems concerning the management of kindergartens as well as to compare large and small kindergartens in individual management areas.

Management of Hairdresser´s Salon

Diploma thesis develops subject of operation of hairdresser’s saloon in Brno. It introduces analysis of saloon management and evaluation of reasons why saloon’s principal strategic objectives defined by owner before reconstruction in 2007 are not being fulfilled. Simultaneously, it suggests modifications and changes that lead to more effective saloon management, from both management and strategic point of view. Consequently, it brings more stable clients and positive financial effect. Proposal part covers specific potentialities how to define saloon’s objectives, communicate them toward employees and how to communicate with customers. Necessity of communication and pro-active approach result from other analyses as well.

Management of a film festival and its specifics

This Master thesis explores the area of film festivals. The first section describes the film festivals and their categorization. For a better comprehension of the issues part of the work is dedicated to the general and Czech history of film festivals. The work is focused on the interest groups and their impact on the functioning of film festivals. The current situation is analyzed through a selected case of the International Film Festival Karlovy Vary. All program activities are analyzed. The work describes the processes that take place during the organization of the film festival and also explores its internal and external conditions. It presents the structure of the organization team and summarizes responsibilities of its positions.

Based on the analysis of present situation, it proposes measures to improve the performance and effectiveness of the work. The theoretical part contains findings from the field of management and corporate structure. The practical part analyses the present situation and proposes solutions that will lead to increase of the efficiency in work processes and improve the economic situation of an organisation.
