Digital Technologies in Education of Human Biology
Pražák, Daniel ; Vančata, Václav (advisor) ; Hlaváčová, Lucie (referee)
Digital technologies have been present in the educational environment in the Czech Republic and other countries for many years. Not only are they becoming a relatively frequent means of making education more attractive, but they also have a great potential for improving methods of illustration in areas difficult to visualize, such as human biology and anatomy. The presented thesis is divided into the theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part summarizes available specialized literature covering the bases for utilizing digital technologies in the practice of teaching; maps out the process of implementing digital technologies into schools in the Czech Republic; and last but not least, describes key elements and methods of teaching with the help of digital technologies. The practical part introduces the results of a survey which took the form of a mixed methods research among elementary and high school pupils, teachers, and students of Teaching Preparation programs. In the final discussion, the amassed data are compared to some of the relevant past surveys conducted by various subjects. In addition, the practical part also includes model activities for using digital technologies in human biology teaching; a description of their pilotage; and a critical reflection on the process. The practical part is the analysis of mobile educational applications from air traffic. Analysis of individual applications is performed using established metrics and SWOT analysis. The output of this analysis is to assess whether the selected pilots and aeronautical training applications are appropriate, easy to use, and which brings strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
M - technology in teaching and school management
Škop, Jaroslav ; Svoboda, Petr (advisor) ; Trojan, Václav (referee)
This Master thesis deals with mobile technologies used for teaching and for management of schools. The theoretical part attempts to define the phenomenon of m- technologies and specifies both the determinate forms and the effects of the innovation when applied to education. The research portion carried out at primary schools by way of a qualitative survey and an interview examines the degree of readiness and the extent of the use of m-technologies with regard to the constructed school infrastructure and to the professional skill of teachers associated with it. Management of a school will get valuable information about the risks related to the introduction of the new technology and, in form of a guide, it will learn how to prepare a project and what to follow while creating the appropriate infrastructure at a school.

Current Modern Didactic Means used in Management of schools and Education
Ladrová, Iva ; Svoboda, Petr (advisor) ; Trojan, Václav (referee)
The topic of the importance of modern didactic tools in the current conditions of pedagogical practice is considered as contemporary and often discussed. The thesis deals with the question whether the application of modern technology can streamline the work of teachers, including school management and also whether it can become one of the criteria for raising the level of education and organization development. The thesis gives an insight into the ability of school management and other education participants to accept, but also induce changes and innovations in education. It also concerns the issue of schools' open-minded thinking and providing lifelong learning to local community. The thesis attempts to find a mutual relationship between effective application of modern technology, collaboration and the impact on results of entire work. The thesis deals with the use of ICT across different types of schools. The survey should also verify the impact of didactic tools on the quality and results of education by type of school, especially those who participated in the project of Ústi nad Labem Region called Community School (elementary, secondary, special), including feedback. The output of the thesis is summarization, interpretation and completion of the data obtained.

Ubiquitous Learning
