Strategy of lifelong education of State Forestry Administration authorities

The aim of this diploma thesis is to formulate a strategy for lifelong education of the state forest administration authorities' workers. The Ministry of Agriculture runs the education in the state and public administration on the basis of the Education Conception of the Ministry of Agriculture for the years of 2015-2020. This conception outlines education of state and public administration workers with departmental specialization. It determines the basic frame of lifelong education of all workers with departmental specialization. Yet there is no detailed strategy for particular domains of the department which would respond to real needs in practice. The strategy proposed in this thesis focuses on state forest administration workers at municipalities and regional offices. It is based on results of previous research which surveys the situation of state forest administration workers from the point of view of their work performance. Our research, which makes part of this thesis, is focused on their vocational lifelong education and surveys their needs concerning work performance and preferred forms and tools of further special education. Strategies for Overcoming Barriers to Participation in Adult Education

This thesis deals with the issue of barriers to participation in adult education. Survey, which investigates the strategies used for overcoming the barriers to participation in adult education by parents on parental leave, has been prepared on the basis of the contemporary theoretical knowledge on barriers to participation in adult education and inequalities in participation in adult education. Parents on parental leave are one of the groups with uneven access to adult education and they are deterred from participation in education because of situational barriers. Research participants (n = 6, M = 34.5) participated in semi-structured interview, which consists of seven topics related to the respondent's personal history, his academic and professional career and the circumstances of his life. Based on the data, the conditions and mechanisms that help to overcome group-specific barriers to participation in adult education were identified. On the basis of the common elements of respondents' answers the economically oriented strategy for overcoming barriers and the alternative strategy for overcoming barriers were defined. Barriers in Education of Mothers on Parental Leave

This Bachelor's thesis focuses on barriers in further education of mothers on parental leave. It aims to find what the specifics of these barriers are, as compared to the wider adult population. Mothers on parental leave are considered a specific group in the job market as well as in the field of education; therefore they need to be given special attention. The first part of the thesis defines further professional education as a part of lifelong education and introduces the surveys representing the base for my own survey, and also introduces some of the factors that influence the perceived barriers in education of mothers on parental leave. The detection of barriers in further education of mothers on parental leave was carried out in a quantitative survey. The Analysis of current forms and methods of senior citizens' education

This thesis deals with the possibilities of education of elderly citizens in the Czech Republic. It compromises of a theoretical and an empirical part. In the theoretical part of the thesis the characteristics of gerontopedagogy and gerontodidactics were determined, and further the possibilities of education of seniors were outlined. The research in the empirical part of this thesis regards the adequateness of the offers of educational institutions for the elderly. The aim of the research is to determine whether the offer of the institutions in selected Prague districts, which currently provide learning opportunities for elderly, is sufficient for the purposes of their needs and interests. The ultimate research question is: What is the opinion of the respondents on the range of offers of the educational institutions? Further sub-questions were asked, regarding the number of educational institutions, the variety of activities offered, the lack of educational activities, promotion of the activities, the cooperation of the educational institutions with the social welfare department and with feedback from the elderly. Possibilities of Application of the Concept of Lifelong Education in Basic Art Schools in Prague

1 ABSTRACT The thesis discusses possibilities of application of the concept of lifelong education in Basic Art Schools. The goal of the thesis is to propose a basic model of adult education which could be applied in Basic Art Schools. It focuses on the analysis of the literature on lifelong learning, lifewide learning, further education, and also on the analysis of strategic documents of the European Union and the Czech Republic in the field of lifelong learning and further education. Based on the analyses of the documents and external environment, a model of adult education in Basic Art Schools is proposed, the applicability of which is verified by a research investigation. A survey research examines the existence of education of diverse target groups of adults (both laymen and experts) in Basic Art Schools in Prague, the ratio of adult to younger students and the employed methods of their education. Structured interviews among five headteachers of Basic Art Schools in Prague clarify specific details of the process of educating adults in Basic Art Schools and provide more observations on the topic. The issue of lifelong education of general nurses

Lifelong education of general nurses has been permanently a very current and topical issue, especially in connection with the necessity to introduce new standards of education of non- medical health professionals following the Czech Republic's accession to the European Union, in connection with implementation of the Act No. 96/2004 Coll., on conditions of acquiring and recognizing professional qualifications to perform non-medical health care professions, in connection with amendments of this legislation which brought about not only changes into the way of lifelong education but also increased the competences of nurses, but also in connection with preparation of a new legislation which shall replace the Act No. 96/2004 Coll. on non-medical health professions, and shall, due to dissatisfaction with the existing system, completely alter the concept of both professional and lifelong education. The Issue of Demands on Seniors and Lifelong Education

Annotation: In this diploma thesis I present different forms of socialization of older adults and I also describe ways of patient activation, especially concerning their availability and importance. The theoretical part discusses old age and its general characteristics also mentioning demographical changes and consequences of population ageing. In this part I deal with whole life education and activation of older adults as well. Quantitative questionnaire in the practical part is focused on leisure of the older adults living in Prague and also on the offer of activities accessible by elderly people in general. I analyse the attitude of older adults towards this offer and their evaluation of specific activities. Finally, I found several motivating factors of active attitude towards ageing and, on the other hand, I reveal some of those determining passivity and disengagement of senior citizens.

In the Report of Czech School Inspection as a Source of Information about Breaking the Rules in the Examples of the Kindergartens

The thesis deals with comparison of the supply and demand in the area of vocational education of the beginning directors of nursery schools in relation to the uneasy period at the beginning of their accession to the position. The present time full of changes and opportunities favours those who are prepared and these may subsequently manage to find their bearings better and faster. The theoretical part of the thesis is based on the specialized literature, law acts and further sources available. The practical part analyses the knowledge gathered by questionnaire survey, in which one type of the questionnaire was prepared for the directors of nursery schools who are less than two years in their position, and the second type was aimed at the educational institutions. The aim of the thesis is to find the up to date offer of the educational institutions in the area of vocational education of the beginning nursery school directors and to compare this offer with the demand for vocational education from the beginning directors.
