The impact of the absence of physical education lessons on results of motor tests in elementary school children

Jana Vosáhlová Title: The impact of the absence of physical education lessons on results of motor tests in elementary school children Goals: The aim of this work is to determine the effect of the absence of physical edu- cation classes on the results of motor tests, specifically on the results of the UNIFIT- TEST test battery (6-60) and on leisure time physical activity of primary school children aged 9-14 and to compare the results obtained with the results of a previously performed study which was carried out in the period during which physical education was taught in the usual way. Methods: A total of 87 children aged 9 to 14 (47 girls and 40 boys) from Husova 170 Elementary School in Jičín participated in the study. Pupils were tested using the UNIFITTEST test battery (6-60) from motor tests (standing long jump, repea- ted sit-ups, endurance shuttle running, shuttle running) and somatic measurements. However, due to the closure of schools as a result of the serious epidemiological situation, it was not possible to complete the entire motor test battery. Use of CrossFit elements to develop the strength and endurance abilities of the general population.

Title of the thesis: Use of CrossFit elements to develop the strength and endurance abilities of the general population. Objectives of the thesis: Based on literary research and own experience, prepare a design of an interventional movement program with CrossFit elements aimed at affecting the strength and endurance abilities of a group of men from the general population. Methods: The research method of professional literature was used in this thesis, especially collection, sorting and evaluation of relevant information. In proces of searching for information, I drew from professional books, scientific articles, studies or websites dealing with the researched topic. I searched for electronic publications on the following servers: Web of Science, Scholar Google, SportDiscus, PubMed. Results: Based on information from the professional literature, I have come to believe that CrossFit training has the potential to develop both strength and endurance abilities, as well as aerobic fitness or change body composition. The result of the thesis is a theoretical design of a seven-week interventional movement program with CrossFit elements, which is aimed at developing strength and endurance abilities. Barriers of hypokinetic adolecents to active lifestyle

Title: Barriers of hypokinetic adolecents to active lifestyle The dissertation addresses the issue of physical activity among adolescents studying at secondary vocational schools. It focuses on those students who do not meet the minimum recommended number of steps per day, i.e. inactive students. The aim of the study was to clarify the reasons which prevent them from adopting a more active lifestyle. To better understand student responses, we also examined the relationship to school physical education as a school subject that has the potential to positively influence the physical activity habits of youth. Research was carried out on a group of students 15-16 years old at secondary vocational schools (two in Prague, one in the Moravian-Silesian Region). A total of 315 students were studied. A standardized questionnaire was used to obtain information about student opinions on physical education. Sigma Activo fitness bracelets were used to monitor amount of physical activity, and a semi-structured interview was used to determine specific barriers to physical activity. The title of thesis: Influence of regular physical activities on the health of younger school children Aims of thesis: The main aim of this thesis is find out the reality, whether the regular physical activity influences on the health of younger school children. Nowadays, there is an increase of diseases caused by inactive way of life. It's because of today's hurried time and therefor there is a need to aware and stress the influence of regular physical activity on the health of each person, whether children or the adults. Hypokinetic way of life causes problems since the early childhood. At present, one third of people are obese and that's very alarming at these times where there is enough of healthy food and where every person has a chance to attend lots of sports centers. Health oriented and corrective exercises for persons with sedentary occupation

Main topics of this bachelor thesis are health-oriented and compensatory exercises for people with sedentary jobs. The theoretical part describes common health problems associated with sedentary life style and defines terms, important to understanding given issues. Next part describes good posture in various positions focusing on sitting posture and techniques for improving it. Finally recommended physical activities and compensatory exercises are introduced as an effective way to prevent health problems. The practical part compares two test groups from two different IT companies, whose employees spent most of the work hours during the day sitting. I personally participate in trainings with one of the groups, the second group serves for comparison. With the help of on-line questionnaire and standardized tests health condition, physical regime and interest in compensatory exercises of the subjects is mapped. The analysis of leisure-time physical activities of the selected sample of high school students

The thesis is focused on leisure-time activities structure of high school students, with an emphasis on physical activity. In the theoretical part are elaborated chapters concerning the definition of leisure-time, physical activity and adolescence, describes negative impacts of hypokinesia and presents the basic information about procject COMPASS. The researsch study is focused on physical activities of adolescents in their leisure-time context. The data found from respondents (n=425) was registred via stadardized sociological questionnaire COMPASS. The aim of the study was find out gender and age differences in the structure of leisure-time physical activities of high school students. The results shows, that almost 85% of adolescents regulary participate in at least one sport or another type of physical activity in leisure time. Gender has bigger influence on differences in the leisure-time structure than the age. This study shows that physical activities are substantial part of leisure-time of adolescents.
Possibilities of physiotherapy at Morbus Parkinson

Parkinson disease is considered as unhealable. This progressive disease is only possible to slow down thanks to usage of right cure for clinical symptoms and this way prolong life of patients. Because of this is therapy aimed at clinical symptoms as tremor, rigidity, hypokinesis, bradykinesis and postural instability. The most often chosen type of therapy is pharmacological, but internal part of the therapy is physiotherapy as well. First target of this thesis was To chart possibilities of physiotherapy at Morbus Parkinson. This target is described in theoretical part in subchapter 1.10 Possibilities of physiotherapy. Second target was Suggestion and evaluation of therapy at patients at Morbus Parkinson. Practical part of my bachelor thesis was processed by method of qualitative research at 8 patients and this data was processed by form of case reports. Therapy was done nine times at group therapy since January until April 2017. For patients was designed therapy where were used some of possibilities of physiotherapy, that are mentioned in theoretical part. This therapy was evaluated by using results of initial and exit examination. There was no big change in patients' condition during therapy. But is important to say that there is nobody threatened by risk of fall. This thesis can be beneficial especially for patients at Parkinson disease and their close relatives. It can be beneficial for physiotherapists who organize group therapies as well.
Recreational rowing as a form of leisure-time physical activities.

Title of bachelor thesis: Recreational rowing as a form of leisure-time physical activities Author: Dan Omcirk Supervisor of thesis: Mgr. Pavel Hráský, Ph.D. Objective: Find out why respondents chose recreational rowing as their leisure-time physical activity. How is rowing beneficial or has negative effects to respondents perceive. Methodology: For research purposes was used public inquiry of three rowing clubs. Survey was completed by total number of 32 respondents aged from 23 to 75 years, of which 18 were males and 14 females. Results: Participants of public inquiry indicates positive changes due to recreational rowing. Respondent's development of conditional assumptions. Recreational swing is not usually recommended by doctors as a leisure physical activity. Recreational rowing is not conditioned by age of respondents.
