Janků, Veronika ; Svobodová, Radmila (advisor) ; Ferklová, Alžběta (referee)
My master thesis deals with the use of drama education methods when teaching the third grade pupils. The aim is to show that combining the drama education and ethics teaching can effectively develop pupils' moral attitude. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part describes children of middle childhood and defines both kinds of education. The practical part is a proposal of ten drama education lessons with ethics topics created after observing third grade pupils of the primary school of Bratrancu Veverkovych in Pardubice for five months. The proposal is followed by an implementation of the lessons. The lessons focus on developing pupils in following areas: communication, self-evaluation, appreciation of others, respecting rules, creativity, assertive behaviour, and sensitivity towards one's environment. The implemented lessons are then reflected with regard to defined aims. The thesis' conclusion sums up the results obtained from observing the pupils. The results show us that the drama education methods can bring pupils an authentic experience which will significantly influence their values and moral attitude. This master's thesis deals with virtues of first grade primary school pupils. The theoretical part is focused on explanation of the term "virtues" and on description of individual areas in which the virtues can appear within education in first grade of primary school. The attention is paid to how the topic "virtues" is related to the goals and contents formulated in "RVP ZP" (General education programme for primary school education). In this part I also focus on introduction of context of ethics, where I concentrate on theories of Jean Piaget and Lawrence Kohlberg, and ethics education. Furthermore, there are programmes, projects and aids mentioned in this thesis, which deal with development of virtues, with education to values and with ethics education. The practical part of this thesis consists of active research. In the research are stated four lessons which deal with the way, this topic can be realised as a content of education and the way the pupils understand this topic. I also deal with virtues of respect and empathy in detail. These education units which develop the topics of virtues are suggested, verified and reflected. Šťastná, Kamila ; Sokol, Jan (advisor) ; Pelcová, Naděžda (referee) ; Haškovcová, Helena (referee)
The thesis deals with moral (ethical) education in Czech schools. It tries to extend the current complementary discipline of ethical education by the Konstanz Method of Dilemma- Discussion (hereinafter KMDD) whose objective is to develop moral competence. For this purpose, it follows the tradition of moral education in Czech schools and pays attention to the diversity of the concept of moral education. It introduces the main psychological backgrounds of moral education and also the theories that focus on the "measurement" of morality. The thesis analyses the contemporary Czech concept of ethical education, maps the situation of moral education with respect to our neighbours, and then presents the Konstanz Method of Dilemma-Discussion. Part of the dissertation is its research section in which Czech pupils were subjected to a KMDD examination through research. Man Lives Ethically
Hlavinka, Filip ; Hogenová, Anna (advisor) ; Rybák, David (referee) ; Slaninka, Michal (referee)
The dissertation represents a philosophical contribution to ethics and ethical education. Its intention is to present ethics not only as a doctrine of the values and rules of human coexistence, but above all as an essential questioning that brings one to spiritual depth as a true philosophy. It does not approach to the topic by analyzing the work of one or a few relevant authors, but it is guided by the topic itself and the context in which ethics appears. The inspiration here is Heidegger's understanding of the world as the so-called Foursome, in which man, as Mortal, relates to the Earth, the Heavens, and the Divine. As Heidegger explains that man relates poetry to the depths of the world, this dissertation attempts to explain that ethical relation to the world is also something essential for man. The ethical dimension of human action and decision-making, which comes from human freedom, is presented here on diferent levels as morality and ethos. While morality is largely based on the social setting and can be described as a certain conformity, the ethos represents a deep personal authentic search for Good. It is an act in accordance with the conscience, which is oriented according to the Good. Good is presented as an idea in the Platonic sense, as a whole without border, as Divine. This Good...
The Implementation of Ethic Education as a Supplementary Educational Subject in the Czech Republic
Motyčka, Pavel
In this work we have been researching how Ethic Education influences the pupils behaviour and the social climate in the classroom. For this research we have used a mixed quantitative and a qualitative methodology. In the quantitative part we have realized our research through the natural experiment with one observed independent variable which applicated the programme of Ethic Education for basic school pupils and secondary school students in a period of one year. We have observed these dependant variables of pupils behaviour: the amount of the prosocial behavior, the amount of anxiety and the amount of the behavioural problems. In a group we have observed: the quality of the social climate and the amount of the trust. In the qualitative part we have tried to examine how pupils and teachers perceive Ethic Education and what principles they use for it. We have used these methods of collecting information: a nomination technigue, a questionary About Your Fellowstudents, a questionary About Your Emotions, a questionary CES, a questionary SDQ. In the qualitative part we have used a questionary with this open question: What has Ethic Education taken from me and given to me? We think that we can make a conclusion about this research that in the quantitative part the hypothese proved that Ethic Education reduces...

The possibilities of ethical education in the scouting environment
FOLDYNOVÁ, Judita
The work deals with the possibilities of ethical education in the Scout environment. First, it describes the Scout idea, such as the Scouting principles, Scout values, law, promise and ethical education. It also deals with the origin and development of Scouting in our country and in the world and its main representatives. Furthermore, it describes particular Scout activities that take place not only within small groups but also in very large ones, not only in local communities but also in the world. There are meetings of peers but also of all generations. Several life stories from the totalitarian regime demonstrate courage and loyalty to the Scout promise. Using interviews and questionnaires, a picture of how members perceive the Scouting is made - what they value, what they learnt, whether it helps them to cope with difficulties. Last but not least, a chance to criticize contemporary Scout affairs is given. Overall, Scouting offers many opportunities how to influence both individuals and the society in ethical matters and how to make the world a little better. It enables upbringing for true humanity, helps us to fight against consumerism and individualism.
