Psychological knowledge becomes an important starting point for the practical part of the work. Education in different areas of child's life carries specific features of the environment. The development of children's moral reasoning can be supported by the knowledge of different ethical systems. Ways to work in Philosophy for Children can become a means of ethical education. The role of teachers, parents and leisure teachers has an important place in this educational process, especially in the implementation of ethical dialogues. The practical part offers three philosophical stories, with the main ideas and plans for discussion. The stories serve as an inspiration for cultivating the morals of children in different environments of their lives.
Christian virtues, personality of an elementary teacher and his moral impact on pupils
URBANOVÁ, Martina
The paper deals with a question whether it is possible to identify any character elements of an elementary teacher that would agree with Christian virtues. First, we define the notion of a virtue and view the virtues from the historical development. Further, we divide the virtues into cardinal and theological ones. After that we characterize the term value from philosophical and psychological point of view, inclusive of the term character. In the second chapter, we mention the teacher's personality, the significance of teacher's example and his moral effect on pupils. In the last chapter, we provide a qualitative research using a content data analysis. From the qualitative research we can see that virtues can be found in attitudes, personality traits and values. The transmission of virtues occurs mainly by its own example of each teacher.

Janků, Veronika ; Svobodová, Radmila (advisor) ; Ferklová, Alžběta (referee)
My master thesis deals with the use of drama education methods when teaching the third grade pupils. The aim is to show that combining the drama education and ethics teaching can effectively develop pupils' moral attitude. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part describes children of middle childhood and defines both kinds of education. The practical part is a proposal of ten drama education lessons with ethics topics created after observing third grade pupils of the primary school of Bratrancu Veverkovych in Pardubice for five months. The proposal is followed by an implementation of the lessons. The lessons focus on developing pupils in following areas: communication, self-evaluation, appreciation of others, respecting rules, creativity, assertive behaviour, and sensitivity towards one's environment. The implemented lessons are then reflected with regard to defined aims. The thesis' conclusion sums up the results obtained from observing the pupils. The results show us that the drama education methods can bring pupils an authentic experience which will significantly influence their values and moral attitude. Křižovatky etické výchovy v kontextu České republiky a Německa Crossroads of the Ethical Education in the Context of the Czech Republic and Germany Ruth Kubíčková The aim of this thesis was to map the development, process of consolidation and current shape of the implementation of ethical education in the educational system of the Czech Republic and Germany. My findings corroborate the thesis that the ethical and values education, in its close relationship with religious education and the spiritual dimension in general, forms an integral part of the school system and has a significant impact on the formation of moral consciousness and competences of an individual and thus the society as a whole. The first chapter introduces the terminology of ethical education which, despite being essential for both interdisciplinary and international cooperation, has not yet been well established in the literature. The second chapter focuses on the formation of values system and shows that besides family, peers and the macro environment it is the school that plays a distinct role in the moral and character development of an individual. In conformity with the presented stages of gradual strengthening of the moral consciousness of a child, the school can designedly support the desired social interactions that lead to...

How can good quality children's magazines contribute to the healthy development of younger schoolchildren in the contemporary postmodern setting
JEŽKOVÁ, Blanka
This MA dissertation is a creative project aimed at creating a model magazine for children of primary school age which would cultivate the child reader in a manner as complex as possible. The content of this magazine is founded on a previous theoretical analysis of children's needs and takes into account their socio-cultural specifics, that is, living together with digital technologies. Subsequently, in this work, I have aimed at finding responses for such formulated requirements in the form of current educational trends and, using these in practice, I am submitting a proposal of a specific product which reflects these phenomena.
