Employment of the school chromatograph GC-mini for the determination of methanol and ethanol in school practice
Gálová, Karolína ; Šmejkal, Petr (advisor) ; Stratilová Urválková, Eva (referee)
Bakalářská práce Autor: Karolína Gálová Využití školního chromatografu GC-mini pro stanovení methanolu vedle ethanolu ve školní praxi Abstrakt - anglický jazyk The main topic of this work is to investigate the possibilities of using the school gas chromatograph GC-mini in teaching at secondary schools within the topic of chromatographic analysis. Despite the expansion of the method, the teaching of gas chromatography remains rather rare. Specifically, the work focuses on the optimization and determination of methanol alongside ethanol, which is a practically relevant topic for understanding the analysis of alcoholic beverages and methanol-containing samples, and a potentially motivating topic for teaching. The thesis covers the design of experiments, methodologies, and practical aspects of using the GC-mini chromatograph. Additionally, it includes a survey of school educational programs to determine the occurrence of chromatography and gas chromatography in secondary school curricula. As part of this work, laboratory experiments aimed at determining the content of methanol and ethanol in various samples were conducted. The results of these experiments provide information on the efficiency and reliability of the GC-mini school chromatograph for the quantitative and qualitative analysis of these substances....
Health physical education in the Czech and Slovak educational systems
Vosková, Veronika ; Kotlík, Kamil (advisor) ; Strnad, Pavel (referee)
Title: Health physical education in the Czech and Slovak educational systems Objectives: The aim of the diploma thesis is to provide a comprehensive view of the issue of health physical education (HPE) in the Czechia and Slovakia, its specifics, historical development and current state. The sub-goals of the work were to establish international cooperation for obtaining information regarding health physical education in Slovakia and to establish a framework for the provision of physical education in the Czechia and Slovakia, as well as the personal attitudes of those involved in the pedagogical process in relation to HPE. Methods: This thesis has a mixed nature with a predominance of theoretical concepts, which has a descriptive analytical character. The approach of analysing literary sources best suited the needs of the work. In addition, a questionnaire survey was conducted, in which the research sample consisted of primary and secondary school teachers in Czechia and Slovakia. The survey was conducted online through two non-standardized questionnaires created according to the specifics of the target group. Results: Within this thesis, theoretical findings from the field of HPE were summarized - its definition, function, goals, tasks, relationship to other related scientific disciplines, didactics...
Modelovací úlohy - Role strategií při procesu transformace mentální představy do formální reprezentace
GEYER, Jakub
Modeling tasks, consisting in the transformation of a mental image into the formal representation, very often occur in the study of computer science, mathematics, but also in other technical and non-technical fields. From the didactic point of view, it is interesting in modeling tasks (among others), which methods/procedures solvers (students) use to manage more demanding complex tasks. It is often possible to encounter students, who have significant problems solving complex tasks (or they are not able to solve them satisfactorily at all), even though they did not have any problems with similar simpler tasks before during the course. A possible explanation can be seen in the suboptimal use of modeling strategies (e.g. divide&conquer, iterative approach, etc.) or their total absence. This research is focused on the analysis of the role of strategies in modeling tasks, the possibilities of their support/development and teaching methods. The study is conducted, which aimed to analyze the possible impact of strategies in the procedures of university students in solving modeling tasks in the areas of 3D modeling and databases. The goal of the research was also to analyze the possibility of generalization of modeling strategies and their transferability between domains with different type of model.
The Concept of Civic Literacy in an International Perspective. Czech Republic, Australia, England
Pilousková, Ivana ; Fapšo, Marek (advisor) ; Šíp, Radim (referee)
This diploma thesis is concerned with the concept of civic literacy. Firstly, the thesis reflects the concept of civic literacy theoretically in both the Czech educational context and the chosen anglophone ones. For these purposes, literary research is done with the support of relevant academic literature. The second part of the thesis focuses on the Czech, English and Australian educational curricula. These curricula are presented as to their general characteristics, including their frameworks of civic education, and then selected aspects of the curricula are compared by means of content analysis. An integral aim of this diploma thesis is to provide an adequate definition of crucial terms related to the topic, those being the terms citizen, citizenship or literacy and competency. The expected results of this thesis are the theoretical reflection of the concept of civic literacy in Czech as well as in chosen anglophone publications, and the comparison of civic education in chosen educational curiccula, with the focus on three selected criteria: the degree of representation of social sciences, the concept of active citizenship and the way the curiccula work with the term competency. KEYWORDS literacy; civic literacy; citizenship; citizenship education; educational curricula
The use of grant programs to support well-being
Váňová, Kamila ; Marádová, Eva (advisor) ; Komorná, Marie (referee)
The bachelor thesis focuses on the issue of wellbeing in inclusive education and the opportunities for drawing on grant funds to support activities aimed at wellbeing in primary schools. Specifically, it provides insight into how schools established according to § 16 Act no. 561/2004 Sb. - the education law, participate in the grant call of the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports Template I supporting school wellbeing activities. The aim of the thesis is to describe, based on research, how the implemented financial support from grant sources is reflected in the life of the school. The theoretical part, as the first part of the thesis, describes the concept of wellbeing and also offers an overview of grant support intended for schools and their activities. The second part of the bachelor thesis includes a description of the research investigation, which is divided into two phases. The conducted research took place in two phases. In the first phase of the research, quantitative investigation of data on the involvement of all schools in the grant call Template I was carried out. Based on the conclusions drawn from the first phase, questions were developed for the second phase of the research (qualitative), conducted through interviews. The research findings indicated that schools consider...
The specifics of the education of pupils with a different mother tongue at the second level of primary school
Smažíková, Eliška ; Bartoňová, Miroslava (advisor) ; Komorná, Marie (referee)
The aim of the bachelor thesis is to define the possibilities of education and support for pupils with a different mother tongue (DMT). The theoretical part of the thesis was prepared using available Czech and foreign professional literature. The first chapter includes the background of inclusive education, the definition of the legislative framework of support for pupils with DMT in education and placing the issue of pupils with DMT in the context of the Czech education system. The second chapter describes the specifics of pupils with DMT and the possibilities of supporting them in education. The empirical part of the thesis focuses on the specifics of education of pupils with DMT at the second level of primary school. In order to achieve the stated goal, qualitative research was conducted in a selected smaller primary school in Central Bohemia. As the research methods are used semi-structured interviews with a pupil with DMT, with his class teacher and with a teaching assistant of a pupil with DMT, as well as a questionnaire survey among second-grade teachers at the same primary school. Based on the data obtained from the research investigation, general recommendations for the education of pupils with DMT were suggested at the end of the paper.

The empirical part of the thesis analyses the manifestations of potential giftedness in children in kindergarten and aims to identify the pedagogical methods applied when working with gifted children. The research was conducted using a mixed-methods approach, specifically a sequential combining design (QUAL-quan scheme) that employed a case study design and a questionnaire survey. The main cases consist of two kindergarten teachers who, in the course of their profession, have encountered and had the opportunity to...
