Author: Martin Simacek Additionally, the study aims to determine whether the player's Abstract Author: Martin Šimáček Title: Analysis of Puck Control Level in Ice Hockey in Categories U9 and Younger Objective: The aim of this work is to determine the level of puck control among players in the U9 age category and younger, and to further investigate whether the players' skills correspond to the competencies they should possess in this category. Methods: The methodology was based on a test battery compiled to evaluate and compare the puck control level of players in the U9 category, encompassing a wide range of teams from the entire Czech Republic. The research relied on the quantitative analysis of results from 253 young hockey players who underwent a series of 17 tests aimed at progressively increasing the difficulty of puck control techniques. Each player was assessed individually under the same conditions, with success evaluated by a licensed expert with a coaching A- license. The data were analyzed using statistical tools to define the average level of skills achieved and compare them with international standards. Results: The study, which included 253 young hockey players from the U9 category, showed an average completion of 2.15 out of 11 puck control tests, revealing solid foundational skills...
Technical human and human technique - about a relation between human and technique
Geisler, Felix ; Novák, Aleš (advisor) ; Benyovszky, Ladislav (referee)
This thesis studies the topic of the relationship between man and technique through the lens of reflection on this relationship by selected thinkers of the last century who discussed this topic in some of their works (O. Spengler, J. Ortega y Gasset, A. Gehlen). One line of enquiry will trace the nuances of whether and how man constitutes technique, or whether and how technique shapes man. This work will not resolve this interdependence of man and technique once and for all, but it will outline perspectives from which this almost self-evident relationship can be problematized and brought into the questioning even for today. Technique has in fact been considered one of man's essential definitions since modern times. Man is conceived as a practical, acting and, above all, creative being - he transforms nature, that is, he creates a new, humanized second-order nature, which is technique. The second line of inquiry will highlight how technique appears as something that not only makes man human to some extent, but as that which threatens man's being as such. The two lines converge in the question of how much we are threatened by that what shapes us, or how much we are shaped by that what threatens us.
Description of physical characteristics of the C1 forward stroke in selected elite canoe slalom athletes
Foukal, Pavel ; Bílý, Milan (advisor) ; Busta, Jan (referee)
Title: Description of physical characteristics of the C1 forward stroke in selected elite canoe slalom athletes Objectives: The aim of this study was to describe the physical characteristics of a forward stroke in C1 using strain gauge measurement among selected elite canoe slalom athletes during flatwater paddling, and to organize the obtained results into a clear format. Methods: We used a single-axis foil strain gauge attached to each tested person's paddle and an accelerometer (G-link 200) positioned at the front of the boat to obtain the data. Everything was connected to a data acquisition unit (V-link 200). We processed the data using the Sensor Connect software developed by Lord Microstrain. Results: We have been able to describe the basic physical characteristics of the forward stroke on the dominant and non-dominant side as well as the cross stroke. It turns out that a greater force applied in the stroke does not necessarily lead to a faster resultant time for a given segment. Similarly, a higher frequency of strokes does not automatically lead to faster and better times. Boat speed is not dominantly determined by any of the physical indicators of the stroke cycle studied, but is probably determined by a combination of them, related to other factors such as the shape of the boat, the...

Dyrynková, Nikola ; Kaplan, Aleš (advisor) ; Vostatková, Pavlína (referee)
Thema works: Evaluation of body parameters and performance of elite word-class female hurdlers in the period 2003 - 2022 Aims: The main objective of this study is to compare and evaluate the accumulated results of female finalists in the 100 m hurdles from 2003 to the present, covering a period of 20 years, followed by a comparison of performances in the Olympic Games and world Championships. A secondary objective is to record basic body parameters (height, body weight and Body Mass Index) of the finalists in individual global sporting events (Olympic Games and world Championships). Methodology: We focused on comparing and evaluating the accumulated data of female finalists in the 100m hurdles from 2003 to 2022 in the World Championships and Olympic Games. From each World Championship and Olympic Games, we selected the finalists of the 100 m hurdles (the fastest 8 athletes). We collected information on the WCH, OH, times, rankings, and anthropometric characteristics (height, body weight, and Body Mass Index). Furthermore, we processed the data based on basic statistical characteristics, particularly mean, standard deviations, minimum and maximum values of the performances. We compared all of this data among each other. In the supplementary section, we created tables that serve as source data, while...
