Low-threshold equipment as a prevention of socially pathological phenomena

This bachelor thesis deals with socially pathological phenomena and their possible prevention in low-treshold facilities for children and youth, specifically in on low-treshold facility called Bongo Týn nad Vltavou. This thesis is divided into three chapters. Basic concepts are clarified in the first chapter: social pathology and social deviation. There are also introduced socially pathological phenomena and social factors, which influenced their origin. There are also introduced the types of prevention. Second chapter is devoted to characterise low-treshold facilities and approximation of their origin. The third chapter focuses on low-treshold facility called Bongo Týn nad Vltavou.
Cyberbullying as a Social Problem by the View of Pupils at the Second Stage of Primary School

The aim of this diploma thesis was to find out what are the risks of problematic using of the internet among students of the second grade at elementary school. The consequence of this acting is often a cyber bullying which could be a big social problem in their future private and also professional life. The next goal of this thesis was to create a manual with basic information for teachers and school prevention methodologists in case they have to deal with cyber bullying at elementary schools. This work is made of a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is divided into four main chapters. The first chapter is about a cyber bullying which students of the second grade at elementary schools often experienced with. The second chapter is dedicated to social networks, which are often used by teenagers. Students spend abnormal amount of time on social networks and the cyber-attacks take place there. In the third chapter I describe "netolismus", the addiction to the internet. Nowadays this addiction is made very often and very quickly. In the fourth chapter I focus on a prevention of cyber bullying at elementary schools which is really important. The practical part of this theses focuses on the risks of the internet, healthy or pathological using of the internet among the students of the second grade at elementary schools in South Bohemian region. The established hypotheses concerned verification the differences according to the gender and the age of students. The results of the theses were obtained by questionnaire survey method and they were statistically evaluated in IBM SPSS Statistics and they are represented by graphs. The result shows us that the problematic usage of the internet is related to the age and the class in which the students are at the moment. The results revealed that 44 % of students of the second degree at elementary schools have the internet in the top three of their value lists. It was found out that 33 % of students spend more and more time on the internet, and not because of school´s duties. Although 30 % of students tried to restrict the time they spend on the internet, but with no success. As the results show, 19 % of students hide their online life from others. Based on the results, the manual with the title "CYBER BULLYING" was created to serve for all who are interested in the problematic of cyber bullying, e.g. pedagogical and non-pedagogical workers at elementary schools, school prevention methodologists, lectors of primary prevention programs, social workers and last but not least for parents of student. The first step to a success is to start deal with the cyber bullying and try to find out the right starting points which lead to help.
Perception of addictive substances from the point of view of pupils of the 2nd level of elementary schools and secondary school students

The thesis consists of two parts, theoretical and practical. The aim of this work was to analyze the situation at the second stage of two primary schools, which is related to the perception of addictive substances. In the theoretical part of the thesis, the aim was to address the issue of addictive substances, to define addictive substances and their effects on the personality of an individual. The aim was also to mention the effects of drugs on the body and to describe the principles of primary prevention. In the practical part, the perception of the addictive substances of secondary school pupils and the students of secondary school was examined and mapped using appropriate means. The results from primary and secondary school were then compared with each other.
Primary prevention of alcohol abuse by children with special educational needs

The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of alcohol consumption in children and youth. The first chapter describes alcohol and its impact on health, provides an overview of alcohol consumption in the Czech Republic in adults, children and youth. The concept of pupils with special educational needs is explained here and attention is focused on ADHD pupils. The following is an introduction to the primary prevention system in the Czech Republic. The work describes the methodologies for working with pupils with special educational needs and identifies the basic documents and methodologies that can be used in the creation of preventive programs for the school environment. The created preventive program should teach pupils to refuse alcohol, bring information about the consequences of its consumption and raise overall awareness of its poor effect on the human body. Its aim is also to try to improve communication and find solutions in their often dissatisfied lifestyle. Overall, the program strives to develop communication, get to know other people, resolve negative events or conflict. And especially to get to know yourself.
Questioning youth: Strategies and support of youth development in the context of the Czech educational system

Master thesis Questioning youth: Strategies and support of youth development in the context of the Czech educational system analyses the system of prevention of homophobia and transphobia as well as possibilities of supporting questioning youth - adolescents who question their sexuality or gender identity. This master thesis provides an analysis of theoretical concepts regarding LGBTQ* adolescents, gender socialisation and institutional education. I followed three main research questions: It attempts to find answers to the following research questions: 1) How do people who are working at school counselling centres perceive questioning youth or LGBTQ* adolescents? 2) Which tools of prevention do the schools have in the areas of sexual and gender identity based discrimination or bulling and which ones do they actually use? 3) What does the systemic support of schools in the field of homophobia and transphobia prevention look like? Semi-structured interviews conducted with school counsellor and school psychologists have been chosen as a main research method. The prevalence of substance abuse in chlidren's homes

Base: The use of addictive substances is still an actual problem as well as primary prevention which should be in the center of focus. Children in orphanage are a group with higher risk due to the absence of strong parental element in their life. They can also suffer from various psychical problems. Aim: The aim of this thesis is to map the misuse of additive substances in children's homes and describe the problems connected to it from the point of view of guardians and how can those problems be solved. Methods: The questionnaire was chosen for the data collection. The answers had been collected for two months and then evaluated by Google Forms and Microsoft Office Word. Two groups were addressed - clients od children's home and one guardian of the same home. Results: The questionnaire proved that most of the children had used the addictive substances, most of them are addicted to at least one and even though the primary prevention is present in those establishments. Conclusions: Clients in children's homes are a group with higher risk and it is necessary to pay special attention to prevention and risk factors. Comparison of primary prevention at the second level of elementary schools in Most and Prague

The diploma thesis Comparison of primary prevention at the second level of elementary schools in Most and Prague discusses the implementation of primary prevention at the second level of elemetary school in these two selected locations. The diploma thesis is thematically divided into six chapters. The first part defines the basic terminology related to the topic of primary prevention. This section also contains information about particular topics of risky behavior and counsulting services of elementary schools. The second part follows a survey among school prevention methodologists in Most and Prague. The objective of the following practical part is to identify and compare what form and under what conditions is implemented primary prevention of risky behavior among pupils of the second level of elementary schools. For the survey was used quantitative method, in the form of a questionnaire divided between school prevention methodologists in both cities. In the final part there are interpreted the data obtained in the survey, which confirmed that in both areas there are different approaches to the implementation of primary prevention at the second levels of elementary schools.
