Teacher's authority by mental disability children

Diploma thesis deal with topic of teacher's authority, specifically by pupils with mild mental retardation. Authority is polysemous term so it is impossible to limit it only for one definition but it is necessary to look at it as a process which is formed in a long-term interaction - in this thesis namely between teachers and pupils. In the theoretical part I pay attention to the term authority in a historical and modern point of view and also contexts authority with phenomenons as for example media or discipline. Shortly I mention personality of pupils with mild mental retardation and teacher's personality. Attention is also paid to communication with pupils, solving problems at school and relationship teacher - pupil. In the practical part I condukt a survey of this phenomenon using qualitative method of halfstructured dialogues. In order to it could be objectively assessed perception of authority by pupils with mild mental retardation it is necessary to compare (their) results with pupils without mild mental retardation, with whom were led discussions too. The relationship of school indiscipline with selected characteristics of students

This diploma thesis deals with issues of pupils' behavior and discipline at elementary schools. It consists of a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part deals with basic concepts and general problems of discipline and inexplicably with available literature. The practical part is focused on the research of the frequency of individual manifestations of disruptive behavior, it is determined whether the lack of discipline is associated with one of the selected characteristics of the pupil, such as the type of school, gender, socio - economic situation of the family and the development of the frequency of individual manifestations of disruptive behavior from the sixth to ninth grade. The aim of the thesis is to find out the extent of undesirable behavior in selected schools. The research method used is the statistical analysis of the data and the collection method is in the form of questionnaire. The result is a summary of the most frequently occurring unruly behavior at second level of the elementary school and its comparison within selected characteristics from the pupilś point of view. Student with specific dystrophy in the educational process

This diploma thesis is focused on the issue of specific behavior disorders. The author defines the term of behavior disorder in a theoretical part, she classifies particular behavior disorders and she decribes them in depth in the way they are described by The International Classification of Diseases. The author also tries to cover possible causes and factors which participate in the formation or developement of behavior disorders. The conclusion of the thesis is dedicated to the specific of education of children with behavior disorders and developement of socialization of these individuals. The practical part is based on the casuistry of the chosen pupil and his structural observation. This part tries to describe chosen aspects based on a long-term observation which a specific disorder could influence on, e.g. an influence on a class, a perception of the teacher's authority, observation the rules or paying attention. The practical part is realized by the long-term observation, by the analysis of available documents relating to a diagnosis of the pupil. Analysis of a beginning teacher and his common problems in an educational process

Thesis "Beginning teacher - analysis of his personality, work and the most common problems in his work" deals with the personality of a beginning teacher, mentions the most common problems in his work and tries to find ideas for improving the situation. As the same times in analyses the selected components of his personality, which usually participates the lack of attention, especially in preparing future teachers, and which usually not mentioned in proper context. It focuses primary on the professional competence of teachers in relation to the student's core competencies as well as in other contexts. It also discusses the role of novice teachers in the context of the transformation of the Czech education system and also in the context of the Lisbon process. Analyses of key documents are included too. Great attention is paid to think about the different problematic areas concerning the work of novices teachers. In this context, the author focuses on the matter of authority and educational styles. Discipline in a Waldorf school from the teacher's point of view

This bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of discipline in Waldorf schools. It broadens the horizons of functioning of the Waldorf school, its philosophy and the work of Waldorf teachers. Qualitative research focuses on four disciplinary problems, namely failing tasks or preparing them not sufficiently, lack of concentration, using vulgar words and using mobile phones while they are forbiden. Through in-depth interviews, it surveys how teachers maintain discipline, or address indiscipline in classroom. The research offers an overview of the strategies that were employed. These strategies are compared to current trends in classroom management. The results serve as an inpiration not only for Waldorf teachers in dealing with indiscipline.
