Specifies of the process of creation media celebrity in tabloid media

This thesis deals with process of creating an artificial celebrity in Czech media context. It demonstrates that it is possible to make an unknown person famous and to become a celebrity who attracts media attention. First two chapters define a celebrity as an institution, its primary social functions and also its origin and creation. Third chapter describes Czech tabloid media market and its changes in last few years. Furthermore, it explains reasons why there is need for new celebrities. Forth chapter analyses in detail conditions that lead to creation of new artificial celebrity. Moreover, it defines a process of such creation and routines used by Czech media to cover celebrities. Last chapter shows a case of Ornella Štiková who was not even publicly known before she became a celebrity. After becoming celebrity, she attracted attention of all main Czech tabloid media. This media interest lasted (including short falls) almost for two years. Such a period is longer than average. As a part of this thesis, the author made a series of interviews with media experts, significant tabloid media professionals and insiders of Czech showbyznys. Sports celebrities in the late modern society

The bachelor's thesis deals with the topic of sports celebrities in late modern society. Specifically, it focuses on the theoretical grasp and presentation of sports celebrities, as important social figures, who are enjoying increasing public attention with the development of technology and growing media interest. The work also deals with the study of the perception of sports celebrities by young people aged 18 to 30 years. Quantitative research was carried out using an Internet questionnaire, which was then analysed. The results of the analysis provide insight into today's sports celebrities through the eyes of young respondents, explains how these celebrities are perceived and how important they are to them compared to other non-sport celebrities, whether they are life inspiration for these respondents or which aspects they think are most important for transforming athletes into a sports celebrity.
Agenda setting by Pavel Novotny in the Czech media environment

The basis of the agenda-setting theory is the fact that the topics that are emphasized in the media are becoming important for their audience as well. The widespread notion is that those who set the agenda are the media. However, this is not entirely true. The media only allow news to spread quickly, they are not the authors of the topics. Pavel Novotný, a Czech celebrity and politician, formerly a tabloid journalist, currently the mayor of the City District - Prague Řeporyje, is considered to be the cause of many media cases in the Czech environment. The bachelor's thesis examines the activity of Pavel Novotný on the social network Facebook during selected media cases using a summarizing software tool. It also examines media activity using a media database. Its aim is to apply the theory of agenda- setting to the person of Pavel Novotný. Celebritization of czech youtubers and bloggers as part of marketing of czech food companies

The topic of this bachelor thesis is "Celebritization of Czech Youtubers and bloggers as a part of marketing of Czech food companies" and tries to define four research questions (one main question and three secondary questions) using qualitative research. The introductory part of this work provides an explanation of why it differs from the original thesis, in which it is explained that the name Youtuber or blogger is summarized by the unified term micro-celebrity. The thesis focus on research of only one social network - Instagram, because of the complexity of this platform and its great popularity among young people. In any case, adolescents are not the only age group that it is focused on, the research also focuses on the cross-section of age groups. The theoretical and practical part of the thesis focuses on ways of interaction between micro-celebrity - followers - product (or company, which is by micro-celebrities promoted). Periods of Time (1930-1938, 2000-2008) and Their Comparison

The subject of this master thesis is the comparison of the way of writing about celebrities in two time periods, namely 1930-1938 and 2000-2008. Thesis are based on two first-republic social magazines, Eva and List paní a dívek, and two magazines from the turn of the century - Cosmopolitan and Rytmus života. The first part of the thesis introduces primarily a theme of the social magazines and celebrities, it also touches the tabloid and the mass media. It also deals with the characteristics of selected social magazines. At the same time, the theoretical part explains the basic knowledge from the history of the two examined periods, which allows a better understanding of context of the periods. The second part of the master thesis is focused on own empirical research, which consists of exploratory and descriptive phase of research. It is therefore the most important part of the thesis, which brings new knowledges. The exploratory phase includes a research sample and presents article entries. The descriptive phase includes an analysis of relationships between celebrities and themes, emotions and sentiment in relevant articles. Part of this section contains research questions and answers.
Negative impacts of media fame

The main topic of the work is how Czech media inform about psychological problems of celebrities such as depression, manic depressive psychosis, addictive behavior, or suicide, and tries to answer the question of how much the media fame can affect these issues. The theoretical part summarizes concepts from media studies for better understanding media behaviors, for example media news selections process, concept of news values, the role of media in today's society and the difference between tabloid and serious media. From the psychological point of view, work summarizes the preconditions of psychological problems and their manifestations. It also provides brief pieces of information from official sources about lives and careers of selected celebrities. The second part of thesis is about analyzing the data, it means articles that informed about selected celebrities in connection with their psychological problems. The practical part is about finding there some common features and tendencies in media informing and also about showing differences between the ways of how tabloid and serious media present news. The Using of Celebrity Endorsement in the ZOOT magazine Interviews

This master thesis is focusing on celebrity endorsement used for product, brand or company promotion. The chosen example is compared with similar competitive ones and demonstrates critical view on celebrity endorsement as a phenomenon and also celebrities. The Grounded theory using repeated reading and coding is chosen as an analysis method for this thesis. This method is used in empirical part of the paper, applied on the interviews from every issue of the magazine ZOOT published and its results are interpreted and evaluated afterwards. The main aim of this thesis is to confirm or disprove the statement that magazine ZOOT uses communication strategy that differentiate it from its competition.
Celebrity Marketing of Nike, Adidas and Puma in 2014-2017

My bachelor thesis describes the concept of celebrity marketing, which is a tactic featuring well-known personalities to offer an endorsement of a product. I will look into the concept of celebrity marketing and describe what are the criteria that a brand should follow when selecting a suitable celebrity. Moreover, I will outline reasons that lead to growing representation of sportswear companies in the fashion industry. Given the scope of my bachelor thesis, I decided to focus on the female market only, which has been growing much faster than the male market in recent years. To conclude the theoretical part of the bachelor's thesis, I will present several reasons that motivate sportswear companies to further focus on the segment of women's fashion. In the descriptive part, I will introduce Nike, Puma and Adidas brands. I will briefly present the history and current position in the market of each brand. Then I will explain each brand's marketing strategy to target women and name global celebrities that Nike, Puma and Adidas did collaborate with from 2014 to 2017. Media Representation of Celebrities in Late-night Talk Show Format

This diploma thesis deals with the media representation of celebrities, as it is designed within the framework of the adopted American television format of the late-night talk show. In the first part of the thesis, attention is focused on problems of understanding of the phenomenon of celebrities by various authors, as well as on the development of the late-night talk show itself and its characteristic features. The theoretical starting point is the theory of representation (Hall), three levels of representation (Trampota) and social construction of reality (Berger, Luckmann). The method of critical discourse analysis is chosen for the research and the four principles for the analysis are described: commoditization, infotainment, personalization, congeniality. The practical part presents an analysis of the typical representation of celebrities due to the principles mentioned above in selected talk shows which were broadcast in English and Czech languages in 2015-2016, namely American The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and Czech Jan Kraus Show. Influence of celebrity endorsement on consumer behaviour of youth

This bachelor thesis deals with role of celebrities in advertising, involvement of celebrities in marketing communication and influence of celebrity endorsement on consumer behaviour. The aim of this thesis is to investigate the influence of the celebrity endorsement in advertising campaign on decisions of consumers, primarily at age from 19 to 26. Literature based theoretical part describes the term consumer, reference group, its types and an endorsement of celebrities in marketing. The practical part deals with content analysis of three different magazines, where is examined advertising using reference groups. Practical part is also focused on a survey that examines how celebrities influence behaviour of young people and how are celebrities in advertising perceived. In conclusion are compared results of content analysis and online survey, mentioned recommendation of celebrity endorsement for marketing orientation and summarised whole bachelor thesis.
