Suggestion for Reduction of Unemployment in the District of Prostějov

This thesis is focusing on suggestions, which will lead to decrease in unemployment in the district of Prostějov. Unemployment is analysed by individual groups of population first and then are found out the problems of this labour market. Based on the analysis will be presented proposals to reduction of unemployment, which will be focused mainly on endangered groups of population.
Employment of persons with disabilities in the Czech Republic

Approximately every tenth citizen in the Czech Republic suffers from a disability. Persons with disabilities form a vulnerable group in the labour market, which is caused mainly by a lower level of their education. Therefore, it is important that legislation protects the disabled persons and encourages employers to their employment. Employing of disabled people is in the interest of entire society and also has an integrative dimension. The main objective of this thesis is to assess comprehensively the legal regulation of the employment of persons with disabilities in the Czech Republic, to reflect recent amendments to applicable legislation and simultaneously to verify the premise that these regulations are satisfactory and feasible in practice. The thesis consists of four parts. The first part focuses on the basic definitions and states in which aspects some similar terms are identical or different. Special attention is paid to the definition of a "disabled person" in all its major forms. The second part deals with international and European regulation, by which the Czech Republic is bound and with which the national legislation must be in accordance. Analyse of Protected Work-rooms with Regard to their Rise in Civic Sector and Trading Companies

Presented thesis deals with theme of protected employment of people with disabilities as one of the posssible ways of their integration into mainstream society. Unemployment, potential negative impacts of work in protected conditions and the risk of social exclusion are in this thesis presented as a social problem, in the solution of which are to some extent involved participants of all three sectors - the state as well as organizations of private profit- and non-profit sector. The theoretical part describes the current system of employment support for people with disabilities in our country and its effectiveness, and analyses the potential impact on lives of this group of citizens. The thesis also includes research conducted within protected workrooms, operated by the civic sector organizations and business companies. Its main objective is to determine whether and how the examined employers contribute to development of skills, vocational qualification and motivation of the disabled citizens for a possible moving into the open labor market and the mainstream society.
The European Employment Strategy influence on the Czech active labour market policy

The purpose of this diploma thesis is to describe the influence of the European Union and especially the European employment strategy on the active employment policy in the Czech Republic. The thesis follows the development of the employment policy in both European Union and the Czech Republic. One part of the thesis is devoted to the pre-accession period and the other is concerned with the period after the Czech Republic has become a valid member of the EU. There were applied two theoretical concepts in the analysis of the European Union's influence on the Czech employment policy: social network theory and the concept of policy transfer. There are pointed out the changes that happened in both periods. The motivation of both parties to accept and implement the changes and to influence or to be influenced is described. The aim of this thesis is to prove that the Czech Republic has been influenced and to show the aspects of the influence: where, why and by whom.
A choice of career as the prevention of unemployment

The bachelor thesis focuses on unemployment problems of school graduates from primary schools, high schools and universities. It is interested in employers' views on the exploitation of school graduates in the job market and gives information about consulting services in the educational system and employment. I mention the changes of amendment in consulting services at job centres. At the end of my bachelor thesis I compare differences between girls' and boys' approaches to education and their first employment. I find some parents' influence on their children's choice of careers.
Analysis of the influence of demographic development on employment and employment policy of elderly people in the Czech Republic

The thesis "Analysis of the influence of demographic development on employment and employment policy of elderly people in the Czech republic" focuses on the specific position of elderly people in the labour market. In the event of redundancy, they tend to be under threat of long- term unemployment more often and to a greater extent than other groups in the labour market. The thesis describes in detail the current state of employment of elderly people in the Czech Republic and the European Union with respect to demographic trends, which - in addition to other consequences - also have a strong impact on the labour market. The aim of the thesis is to determine the main obstacles preventing greater involvement of elderly people in the labour market in the Czech Republic, and the direction employment policy should take in order to achieve greater efficiency. The basic hypothesis of the thesis is the idea that the implementation of an active employment policy in the Czech Republic is not effective enough in solving the unemployment issues of the elderly. The solution of unemployment via tools of Active Labour Market Policies with deeper focus on retraining

The main topic of this paper is retraining as one of tools of unemployment solution and evaluation of effectivity of this instrument with regional extent at Decin county. The efficiency is surveyed as a linear relation between the skill-wise orientation of the training course and ability to gain a new job of the training attendants. The purpose of this analysis is to evaluate the most effective types of retraining in the district, the time interval of deleting of the job applicant from the register included. As a part of this work is evaluation of quality of the retraining course provided by its attendants and as well as their judgement of contribution of this program for following career development. I have used relevant data from information system of the Labour office, private files of the retraining attendants and questionaries from addressed respondents. Retraing is here considered not only bare remedy of the Active Labour Market Policy, but as well as one of significant elements of whole-life education. Targeting of active labour market programmes in the CR

The bachelor thesis "Targeting of active labour market programmes in Czech Republic" deals with used early assessment methods, selection criteria to individual active employment policy programs and finally with evaluation of targeting of labour market programmes by labour office workers. The first part deals with explaining the essential concepts related to the targeting of active labour market programmes. The thesis then briefly introduced the idea of active employment policies, as well as active labour market programmes. The following present the possible ways of targeting these programs, at the end of the first part are listed the possible methods of identifying high-risk candidates. The second part consists of the results of qualitative analysis that was conducted through interviews with labour office workers. Based on these interviews it is clear that for these workers the most important is individual approach to each job seeker.
Effectiveness of active labour policy focused to training programs in Czech republic during the years 2005 - 2011

The aim of the thesis is to analyse rate of effectiveness of retraining programs in Czech republic during the years from 2005 to 2015. For measuring of efficiency is used method of gross effects of retraining programs, which are getting information about success rate of engagement in labour market. Part of thesis is an evaluation of focus of retraining programs on individual groups of applicants according to whereas socialdemografic criteriors in dependence on danger of rise of unemployment. The results of the analysis show that retraining programs are effective tool of active labour market policy to reduce unemployment. 60 to 70 % of job applicants succesfully find an employment within 12 months of entering the evidence of the employment. Analysis of targeting point out dificiencies of the courses targeted towards disadvantages groups, which achieve lower gross effects. The thesis concludes that training programs seem to be efficient labor police measure to eliminate unemployment.
Expenditures on active and passive labour market policies in CR between 1993 and 2014

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyses expenditures on active and passive labour market policies (ALMP and PLMP) and to answer the question why there were changes in the proportion of expenditures on ALMP and PLMP in Czech Republic between 1993 and 2014. Thesis also aims to asses future (post-crissis) development of the expenditures on state labour market policy. The theoretical part of this work examines state employment policy and its division into ALMP and PLMP, focusing on Czech Republic and ALMP tools. The practical part of this thesis analyses both absolute and relative terms expenditures on ALMP and PLMP between 1993 and 2014 and puts them into relation with unemployment and GDP, with government objectives and other important facts (EU entry). The total amouth of expenditures on state labour parket policies has been rising since 1993. The proportion of expenditures on ALMP and PLMP was going through significant changes and the role of ALMP increases in time. Nevertheless, the average value of expenditures on PLMP for the entire period is almost twice the average expenditure on ALMP.
