Delimitation of the state territory of the Czech Republic and changes to state borders Abstract The diploma thesis focuses on the analysis of the state territory and state borders of the Czech Republic. In particular, it focuses on the historical development and current legislation that shapes the state borders of the present Czech Republic. Initially, I focus on the true core of border law. Given that the state territory is based on the Constitution of the Czech Republic, I analyse the constitutional provisions and related laws that form the legal basis of border law, its protection and other key aspects. Further, I analyse the constitutional and historical development of the Czech Republic since the dissolution of Austria-Hungary after the First World War, which represents the rebirth of the borders of an independent and sovereign Czech state (or Czechoslovakia). The historical chapter discusses the changes and other events concerning the state borders before and after the Second World War, the period of socialism, the emergence of the federation and the establishment of the independent Czech Republic. NorthEast segment of Hranice town bypass

The aim of this diploma thesis is to elaborate a variant of the technical solution of the Northeast bypass road of the city Hranice and its subsequent comparison with other variant prepared by the company Linio Plan, s.r.o. The main task of the bypass road is the operation of the industrial zone, through which is achieved the relocation of a large part of the transit traffic from the city centre. The basic difference of compared variants is their location to the city, the solution developed by Linio Plan, s.r.o. passes through the industrial zone and the other variant passes outside this zone.

River regulation and design of flood protection

The bachelor’s thesis deals with designing flood protection on the watercourse Velička (tributary of the river Bečva), which is situated in the area of Hranice municipality. The flow modelling was done as 1D surface water HEC-RAS model. Two options of flood protection were designed based on the size of the flood areas that occured during flood flows Q5, Q20 and Q100. The first option did not consider the usage of Lhotka dry pond. The second option considered the usage of Lhotka dry pond, which was designed in the study made by AgPOL s.r.o. firm to the north of Hranice and which transforms flood flows. The result of the bachelor’s thesis are maps of flood areas that occured during the flood flows Q5, Q20 and Q100 after the implementation of flood protection options. In conclusion, the suitability of the flood protection options is evaluated.

Hranice – redefinition of urban structure

This diploma project deals with a proposal for a new movie theater in the city of Hranice. The aim of this project is to explore the possibilities of cinema architecture, emphasizing the variability of the design solution. The cinema is viewed not as an object with one set function, but as a variable cultural space that plays important part in the cultural life of not only smaller towns. Important part of the design is also the scale - scale of the different events, the town itself as well as its society. There has been a broader redefinition of the urban structure and study of the surrounding development that preceded the cinema design itself, with emphasis on the 1. máje street and proposed linear park. New building of the movie theater corresponds with the proposed regulatives of the future development and cooperates with the newly proposed library, with which it creater new culturaly- educational center of the town.

Light (Magic of Light)

The present work deals in one level with the issue of work and laboriousness in the arts and in the second plane perception of reality and its illusion. Here, briefly explains the function of the visual system, leading to the formation of the image, perception of light phenomena and to create visual illusions (ie. Phenomena, when our perception completely does not match with reality), which served as the basis for dealing with the formal aspects of the work.

The line borders

The difference in perception of reality is caused by the language that creates the terminology for naming formal entities; the definitions of these concepts are abstract. This creates both a collective inconsistency and an incongruity between content and form. In consequence, the question of the objectivity of attributing an abstract image to specific material should be asked. Elementary elements of the drawing expression as a line/picture are primarily perceived in formal boundaries. The goal of my work is to move beyond these boundaries.
