Fišarová, Gabriela ; Novotná, Klára (advisor) ; Sládková, Petra (referee)
BACHELOR THESIS ABSTRACT Author: Gabriela Fišarová Supervizor: Mgr. Klára Novotná, Ph.D. Title: Compensatory exercise with dual-task elements for people with sedentary work Abstract: The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of sedentary job and its compensation using exercise with the Kommo® bar. Sedentary behaviour leads to many health problems and affects physical and mental health. Prolonged sitting is often associated with inappropriate posture and is one of the most common causes of back pain. Treatment and prevention of back pain is an important part of the physiotherapist's work. The bachelor's thesis aims to investigate the effect of the new type of compensatory exercise in individuals with sedentary jobs on pain and spinal mobility. The bachelor's thesis involved a group of individuals with office-based sedentary jobs who have experienced back pain. The exercise program lasted 8 weeks and included 1 hour of group exercise per week. The exercise used a special Kommo® bar and the use of motor and cognitive so-called dual-task tasks. The effect of the therapeutic intervention was assessed using the spinal mobility tests (Schober, Stibor, Čepoj, Otta, Thomayer), the functional mobility tests (the Timed Up and Go test, the Five Times Sit to Stand test) and the subjective pain questionnaires (the Visual...

Prevention of back pain in adults using a computer
Žbánková, Marie ; Ježková, Martina (advisor) ; Smolíková, Libuše (referee)
Computers in modern times have become part of our lives, but apart from benefits they bring many medical complications as well. This paper provides a brief overview of existing knowledge and studies, dealing with back pain in the adult population working with computers. In the theoretical part, the emphasis is on prevention and treatment of back pain, which is very intertwined. The practical part presents the results of research, which had the form of a checklist answered by 50 men and 73 women. The results show high prevalence of back pain of computer users, many differences are to be found in the characteristics of pain of men and women, ages and dependence of pain intensity on movement habits of respondents. The work points to the significance of the problem, which is important for the society. It stresses the need for an active approach of computer users and their employers.

Prevention of postural defects in the population
Langmajerová, Jana ; Müllerová, Dana (advisor) ; Novák, Jaroslav (referee) ; Dlouhý, Pavel (referee)
This dissertation aims at verifying methodology used for somatographic evaluation of the shape and statics of the spine. The potential of the methodology verified lies in increased objectivity of upright body posture evaluation and thereby contributes to the specification of preventative measures for postural defects, and their consequences. Under a cross-sectional pilot study, a non-invasive somatographic method-a diagnostic DPT-3 system designated for spine shape diagnostics-was used to examine selected biomechanical parameters (spinal curves and statics in the sagittal plane in the upright position) in a total of 508 probands. Of this, 326 were school-age children and 182 adults. Among the key parameters monitored were: Cl (depth of cervical lordosis); LI (depth of lumbar lordosis); the sagittal balance of Cl/Ll, and VThk (distance of the peak of the thoracic kyphosis from the ideal verticals-IV). A questionnaire was used to evaluate the level of movement activity in probands and the relation between the occurrence of painful back and headaches and the measurement of biomechanical parameters and movement activity. A total of 81.3 % of children and 94.5 % of adults were found to have deviations from the biomechanically ideal posture model, which signals a postural defect. The values of the Cl (p...

The theoretical part of this thesis describes the issue of LBP and related clinical guidelines. In addition, it summarizes current research results of the influence of health professionals' fear-avoidance beliefs (FA beliefs) on their clinical decision making for LBP patients. The practical part relates to the research of FA beliefs and non-adherence to clinical guidelines regarding care of individuals experiencing LBP among health professionals in the Czech Republic. The degree of FA beliefs was evaluated using a translated and cross-culturally adapted questionnaire "Fear- Avoidance Beliefs Tool", while the degree of non-adherence was evaluated using a self- reported questionnaire in connection to fictitious clinical vignette. Dotyk trnových výběžků aneb Kissing Spines Syndrom
Hanzelková, Veronika
This bachelor thesis focuses on familiarizing riders, breeders of horses, trainers and a supporter of equestrian sport with the cause of horseback problems. It will focus on the ana-tomy of the bones and muscles, which is very important for understanding the correct functi-on of the motion apparatus of the horse. If we understand basic principles and we will know anatomy, we can better diagnose a problem that has been overlooked in the past. Most impor-tantly, we will be able to help the affected horses. If we detect it in time, we can avoid many unnecessary problems and misunderstandings in the area of riding and riding. This syndrome is the last degree of difficulty associated with it, and it concerns the spine, vertebrae and, above all, various anomalies and process on their protrusions. These can cause pain, which prevents the horse from meeting our requirements and wishes. Therefore, in order to avoid this or to mitigate the consequences, it is also very important to strengthen the so-called core muscles, which will help the horses work better without suffering back pain as a result of anatomical changes. To a lesser extent, many horses suffer from this problem, and many owners are not paying enough attention to their speeches.
