Differences of understanding and remembering of antique tale red by pupils, compared with antique tale worked out through methods of D.I.E.

A diploma thesis is concerned with research. The research is focused on compare of effectiveness and differences of two opposite techniques, which are using in school environment. Methods and techniques of drama in contrast of clasics method of frontal teaching. A primary aim of diploma thesis is finding out, if these particular methods has got influences for better or worst understanding and remembering subject metter and how big are these influences. The diploma thesis is devided on two parts. First is theoretics and second is practics part. Thoretics part is making efforts to sketch these problematics of technical viewpoint. It is woking mainly with specialized literature. Theoretics part is creating foundations for practics part. Practics part is asking about researches questions first and choosing exploratives methodes for research. Like researchs method is selecting of analysis of tests from children from both of classes. Test was created on the basis of taked places of lessons. Starting point for practics part was book names "Old greece mythos and legends" from author Eduard Petiška. Entrance knowledge and ideas about the Regions of Czech Republic of pupils of younger school age

The diploma thesis deals with the entrance knowledge and ideas that pupils of younger school age have about the regions of Czech Republic before their own teaching in national studies classes in the fifth grade of primary schools. Data collection was carried out through a research survey at elementary schools in the Vysočina Region and the South Bohemian Region. Third and fourth graders filled out questionnaires that explored their complex ideas and knowledge. Part of the analytical part was also comparison of the differences between individual years, gender, size, location and type of investigated schools and the source of information. The result of the thesis is an educational material "Z kraje do kraje" with a methodical manual focused on critical thinking using the E-U-R method. This can assist elementary school to teachers to facilitate a more active approach for pupils rather than approaching the subject matter through constructive thinking. The conclusion of the diploma thesis talks about the confirmation or refutation of established hypotheses.
Mathematical competitions for the youngest pupils

The aim of the diploma thesis is to develop material for primary school teachers, which can be used to stimulate interest in Mathematics and further develop the youngest pupils' mathematical skills. In the theoretical part, teachers will get acquainted with an overview of domestic (the Czech Republic) and abroad mathematical competitions. These competitions are compared in different perspectives - complexity, typology of tasks, elaboration methods (complete task solution × choice of answer from the offered options). Each competition is briefly described, and it contains suitable motivational, or in some way interesting solved tasks. For each task, the teacher finds a methodological analysis of the solution with commentary. The practical part of the work contains four worksheets (for 2nd to 5th grade), which contain tasks from various competitions. These worksheets were verified at selected primary schools.
Teacher-made Materials for English Language Teaching

The aim of this thesis is to determine which teaching materials teachers in lower primary school use for teaching English and especially whether they prepare their own materials and what those materials are. Another aim is to create a set of teaching materials that can be used with pupils in English language lessons. The theoretical part of the thesis is dedicated to the characteristics of teaching materials for teaching English at the lower primary level, especially course books and other additional materials. It also looks into domestic and foreign web pages supporting teachers in creating their own teaching materials. The practical part of the thesis is divided into two parts. The first part consists of structured interviews with five primary school English teachers. It surveys which teaching materials they use in their foreign language teaching, which materials they create, what is the main reason for making these materials and in which way they use them during their lessons. The second part consists of a set of teaching materials I created for teaching English at the lower primary level.
Cultivation of mathematical literacy at the primary school level

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of the cultivation of mathematical literacy for first-grade primary education pupils. With this aim, several topics, they might encounter outside of school, have been methodically developed. Design research was used to meet the objectives of the work and for proving the functionality of the proposed preparations and then their subsequent modification. During the research, I used methods of observation, interview, questionnaire, and video studies. The theoretical section describes mathematical literacy, in particular, research results and projects to support it. The practical part describes the course of searching for reality-related teaching topics, their processing into preparations for experimental teaching, and verification in practice. The esearch highlights the importance of an educator's self-reflection and the influence of their teaching experience. It demonstrates the difficulty of finding the appropriate topics from ordinary life for adaptation into the tasks for first-grade pupils. As a result of the work, the adjusted verified preparations were created.
The impact of distance education on the well-being of elementary teachers

This diploma thesis deals with the issue of the impact of distance education on the well-being of a primary school teacher. It is divided into a theoretical part and an empirical part. The theoretical part describes the reason for the introduction of distance education, its characteristics and legal parameters in the Czech Republic. It also deals with the impact of major life changes on the experience of individuals, defining the concept of stress and reactions to it. Effective methods of managing stress such as coping strategies, social support, emotional and social intelligence and self-efficacy are briefly mentioned. The consequence of long-term intense stress - burnout syndrome - is also described. In the empirical part, the research is characterized, the aim of which was the personal view of 15 teachers on distance learning and its effects on their experience. A semi-structured interview method was chosen to collect qualitative research data. The analysis was carried out in the form of open and axial coding based on grounded theory. The results of the work provide a description of specific impacts, which are also schematically anchored. Current first-aid teaching at Czech elementary schools from the perspective of teachers and contemporary literature

First aid has always been and always will be an important topic, therefore, this thesis focuses on the issue of first aid in elementary schools. It has two parts. The theoretical part deals with the first aid in elementary schools from all important perspectives, e.g. the development of the subject, the subject today, legislative framework, the Framework Educational Program for Basic Education, teachers' professional development, first aid methodology, and first aid in literature for educators as well as pupils. The practical (empiric) part comprises an analysis of the questionnaire research targeted at elementary teachers. The teachers were asked about the importance of the first aid, their first aid education, what materials they know and use, what subject they implement it in, and their ideal concept of first aid education. All the teachers agreed on the importance of first aid education. The rest of the results generally turned out according to expectations.
Teaching English to pupils with specific learning disabilities in the first level of primary school

Review of the textbooks and of other teaching materials for computer classes at primary schools

The purpose of this bachelor thesis is - besides mapping the availability of information and communication technology textbooks for pupils of the first stage of primary schools - mainly to evaluate their quality and to set evaluating criteria for them. Available textbooks suitable for teaching at the first stage of primary school are evaluated in the practical part of this work. In conclusion, the found opinions and attitudes of lecturers and teachers on available textbooks and other teaching materials are compared.
Educational influence of Drama in Education on social and mental developement of pupils with learning difficutilties of the 1.st grade at Walfdorf school.

The diploma thesis deals with the educational influence of the subject of creative drama on psychosocial development of pupils with special learning difficulties (SLD) on 1st grade of Waldorf school. The work is focused mainly on the development of communication skills, respecting the boundaries, instructions and cooperation in the classroom using methods and techniques of drama education with pupils with SLD in 2nd half of 2nd grade and 1st half of 3rd class. The theoretical part defines the four basic parts of this diploma thesis psychosocial development of children of younger school age, special learning difficulties (SLD), accompanying phenomena and their influence on the psychosocial development of the child, characteristics of Waldorf school, methods and techniques of drama education. The practical part deals with the development of communication, cooperation, observance of rules, understanding of the topic and the ability of its interpretation of individuals and the whole group in the lessons of creative drama. In the lessons, we experienced key themes of the Waldorf School. The whole process is recorded and evaluated using record sheets from each lesson.
