Methods used by pedagogues in the kindergarten for facilitating children's adaptation process.
Ježková, Jitka ; Hanyš Holemá, Irena (advisor) ; Koťátková, Soňa (referee)
The paper examines the topic of the adaptation process of children starting at kindergarten. It generally focuses on methods and procedures used in adaptation processes that aim to facilitate children's adaptation. Theoretical findings relate to the adaptation process of preschool children. Qualitative research is then carried out. The theoretical part describes the developmental specifics of the preschool period. These are essential for understanding the behavior, experiences, and needs of preschool children. The role of the kindergarten institution and its influence on the child is mentioned, as well as the principle of adaptation itself. Adaptation is a significant change and stress, and for its successful progression (and the child's further life), the correct setting of the individual adaptation process is crucial. In this perspective, a large part is devoted not only to the role and experiences of a child but also to the influence of parents or lecturers in kindergarten. Qualitative research in the form of semi-structured interviews with respondents (kindergarten lecturers) has been carried out in this paper. The main goal of the research is primarily to reveal the methods and procedures that kindergarten lecturers use to improve the course of the children's adaptation process. The emphasis...
The point of view of the employees in the children's home to a quality of life and wellbeing of their clients
Ježková, Jitka ; Presslerová, Pavla (advisor) ; Vídršperková, Lenka (referee)
This thesis focuses on the point of view of the employees in the children's home on the quality of life and wellbeing of their clients. The literature review describes theoretical knowledge related to the topic. The research part has a qualitative form, where semi- structured interviews with the educators of children's homes were carried out. In the literature review, institutional care or the functioning of children's homes is described. Furthermore, the paper elaborates on the problem of negative influences endangering the child. Such influences represent inappropriate family environment, emotional attachment disorders, inappropriate and damaging behavior towards the child (abuse, neglect), psychological deprivation or adverse childhood experiences and traumas. These negative experiences significantly affect and influence children. Specifics of children's life in a children's home are described in more detail. Lastly, the paper defines terms "quality of life" and "wellbeing" and their possible concepts, especially in connection with life in a children's home. Qualitative research is implemented and described in the practical part of the work. As part of the research, semi-structured interviews are conducted with workers in the children's home. The interviews are subsequently transcribed, coded,...
Mathematical models in hydromechanics (and aerodynamics)
Ježková, Jitka ; Zatočilová, Jitka (referee) ; Nechvátal, Luděk (advisor)
Bachelor thesis is a summarizing text which deals with the state and the motion of ideal liquid and gas. The main goal is to derive Euler equations describing the flow of fluids. From these equations we can obtain Bernoulli equation that is directly used to solve problems of fluid flow. The next step is to derive the continuity equation expressing the fact that the mass is preserved in the system. In the case of ideal gas the state equation of ideal gas is added and therefore solutions of various types of tasks of hydrodynamics and aerodynamics can be achieved.

Traffic flow modelling

Social workers´ experiences with social work oriented to foreigners in South Bohemian region among selected institutions
JEŽKOVÁ, Jana
The bachelor's thesis focuses on social workers' experience with social work oriented to foreigners in the South Bohemian Region among selected institutions. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part describes the system of protection of foreigners in the Czech Republic, categories of foreigners and types of residence of foreigners in the Czech Republic, as well as valid laws on foreigners in the Czech Republic. The essential part of the theoretical section also includes the specifics of the social work with foreigners. These include for example the competences of a social worker in social work oriented towards foreigners, sociocultural specifics or selected methods and techniques of social work specified to foreigners. The practical part deals with the research, that was realized with the usage of qualitative research strategy and method of questioning carried out in the form of an interview. Interviews were carried out with the social workers and with the workers in social services from selected organizations in South Bohemia, that provide social services for foreigners according to Act No. 108/2006 Coll., on social services, as amended. There were defined two research aims for the research purposes. The first aim was to find out what experience social workers have with the foreigners regarding the practice of their profession, the second aim was to identify how they are prepared for this work according to the subjective evaluation (in the following areas: methods and techniques of social work; legal knowledge; sociocultural specifics of minorities, immigrants, and foreigners granted asylum; etc.). Following these aims, one research question was specified: How are social workers equipped with methods and techniques of social work specified to foreigners? The data obtained from the research was analyzed manually using by "pencil and paper" and the results, of the analysis, were entered into several diagrams, that were created in the computer program Draw.io. The analysis of the research results showed, that the social workers have both, positive and negative experience with the social work, oriented towards foreigners, while positive experience relates to the evaluation of social work with the foreigners as such. The biggest difficulties in social work oriented towards foreigners are social workers' language barrier or insufficient orientation in law on foreigners. Social workers have to often turn to other experts in these areas. The research also showed, that the social workers assessed their preparedness in the methods and techniques of social work specified to foreigners as sufficient, even though in most cases they did not mention any of the specific methods and techniques of this social work (such as intercultural communication; empowerment; networking; coaching; combating discrimination; social work with traumatized refugees; etc.). In this sense, they rather talked about general methods and techniques or about some theoretical approaches of social work, which they also apply in social work with foreigners. The results of this bachelor's thesis can be used as a motive to stimulate the reflections of the governmental and non-governmental sector on the need to improve the professional readiness of social workers in social work, oriented towards foreigners, but also as a valuable basis for the implementation of follow-up and deeper research on the issue.
Gut microbiome and autoimmune mechanisms in patients with type 1 narcolepsy
Ježková, Janet ; Roubalová, Radka (advisor) ; Hrdý, Jiří (referee)
Narcolepsy Type 1 (NT1) is a chronic neurological disease characterized by the presence of cataplexy and excessive daytime sleepiness. NT1 probably arises from autoimmune destruction of orexinergic neurons in the hypothalamus. These neurons are the only known producers of the neuropeptides orexin A and B, which are involved in the regulation of sleep and wakefulness. NT1 is often accompanied by comorbidities such as obesity, type 2 diabetes, hormonal disorders, depression, and anxiety. Gut microbiota affects the quality of sleep by the production of various metabolites. It is considered that it may be involved in the pathogenesis of NT1 or in the development of related comorbidities. In our study, we analyzed the gut microbiota composition of 41 NT1 patients and 32 healthy controls using next-generation sequencing. The diversity of patients' gut microbiota did not differ significantly from healthy controls. In patients, we revealed a positive correlation between the abundance of the bacterial family Coriobacteriaceae, BMI, and the disease duration. Besides, we observed a negative correlation between the Coriobacteriaceae family and cholesterol levels, suggesting that these bacteria are involved in host lipid metabolism. Compared to healthy controls, a higher abundance of bacteria from the families...

Homosexuality in the view of culturology
Ježková, Jitka ; Soukup, Václav (advisor) ; Opletalová, Lenka (referee)
The subject matter of this degree paper is homosexuality as a biologically given sexual orientation and, at the same time, as a cultural phenomenon. An attempt to treat it from a culturological point of view issues from its duality; the duality we can observe also in the case of sexuality itself. The culturological perspective allows for interdisciplinary understanding of the problem with the help of psychology, sociology and cultural anthropology, taking account of the historical development of attitudes to homosexuality and current trends like the cultural and queer studies. The first part of the paper is dedicated to the psychological development of an individual and peculiarities of such development if the individual is homoerotically oriented. The section named "Homosexuality in the Cultural Context" summarizes the situation of homosexually oriented and homosexually behaving people in the history of Europe and North America. Special chapters describe the state acknowledged forms of bonds of marriage of the people having the same sex in the world and in the Czech Republic. The paper is further aimed at the institute of family, its transformations in the course of times and at the current trend being directed at its new forms. One of such forms is homoparentality, too. The subject of the last section is...
