This master's thesis dedicated to the emergency medical services (EMS) call dispatchers as a rather neglected group of healthcare workers. The main focus is put on the profession requirements of this professionally endangered group. Theoretical part of the thesis describes professional problems with an emphasis on psychological phenomena, which are closely related to this profession. There is described both the work of the EMS call dispatcher, the qualification requirements, working environment, types of calls and the specifics of communication on the 155 Czech national emergency line. The social competences are also discussed as factors related to the handling of the given occupational burden. Thesis also describes negative phenomena that may occur as a result of long-term occupational workload such as stress, burnout syndrome and posttraumatic stress reaction, which are associated with key social competencies that make it easier to manage. Psychological research: Children's suggestibility in forensic interviewing

Master's thesis follows on bachelor thesis Specifics of children's testimony from the point of view of Psychology, expanding chapter about suggestibility. Theory involves phenomenon of suggestibility with emphasis put on Gudjonsson's concept of suggestibility in conjunction with interrogative events. Further chapters delve into scientific findings regarding hazardous factors enhancing or decreasing suggestibility of young witnesses, among others are age, cognitive and psychosocial factors. Thesis also presents the very own types of discovered and described interrogation techniques utilizing elements of suggestion like stereotype induction, leading questions, positive and negative consequences or peer pressure. Paper presents results of empirical research, reproduced experiment which was used as tool mapping suggestibility dangers among Czech children. Focused on pre-school children subjected to heavily suggestive interrogation about event they experienced, through later interviews it was measured to which extent highly suggestive interviews altered perceived reality.

Hate crimes in cyberspace

I Abstract The bachelor thesis concentrates on the phenomenon called hate crimes in cyberspace. In the first place thesis maps possible interpretation of this phenomenon and presents various opinios of authors. Furthermore, thesis concentrates on the description of cyberspace and cybercrime. It also lists types of hate crimes in cyberspace. In the last chapters thesis concentrates on perpetratiors and victims of hate crimes in cyberspace. The aim of this thesis is to map all these topics. Proposal of the practical part is focused on the victims of hate crimes in cyberspace. The research is quantitative and aim to find out if there is a difference between psychological effects of the hate crime on victims who have suffered cyber attacks and the victims who have experienced attack in real life. Intervention Care (Crisis Intervention) in Terms of Emergency Medical Service

This bachelor's thesis focuses on the topic of crisis intervention, more exactly the topic of psychological first aid in conditions of Emergency medical service (EMS). The first chapter of the theoretical part introduces the topic in general terms, the second chapter describes specifics of psychological work in the EMS, and the third chapter deals with the issue of present state, importance and potential for improvement in effectiveness of the service provided. The study proposal presented in the last chapter also focuses on feedback and options of gathering feedback in an area where, as defined by the core values of psychological first aid, anonymity and one-timeness of the service are very important; gathering of feedback from its users and subsequent quality improvement of the service thus demands special attention.

Hate crimes

This bachelor thesis is focused on the concept of hate crime. At first it defines the term, its alternatives and options of translating it to Czech. Separately, the concepts of hate violence and hate speech are covered. The thesis then describes the perpetrator, his typical form, motives and the role of prejudice in the act of hate crime. Finally, the thesis focuses on the victims of hate crimes and their identification, followed by the victimization phenomenon and its specifics in the case of hate crime victims. Furthermore, model examples of victim groups are described, followed by description of the situation in Czech republic, the rights of victims here and the position of the Roma community. The proposition of research is focused on understandind the victim's point of view. The goal of the research lies in getting a better insight into the experience of the victim and determining the main areas of support the victim regards substancial. Intrapersonal Communication and Its Role in Attitude Change

This bachelor's thesis focuses on intrapersonal communication and its significance in the process of self-persuasion. In the first topic of the thesis, an essential overview of the two close concepts, intrapersonal communication and inner speech, is presented. Then the thesis describes forms and functions of intrapersonal communication with the emphasis on inner dialogue and introduces Dialogical Self Theory by Hubert Hermans. The other thesis's topic deals with attitude change through the processes of persuasion and self-persuasion, presents examples of self-persuasion models and puts it into the context of intrapersonal communication. The thesis hypothesises that intrapersonal communication, especially in the form of inner dialogue, may function as an instrument of self-persuasion and therefore inner dialogical activity may manifest in susceptibility to persuasion. The research project proposal outlines a possible way to explore the relationship between the concepts by using research methods. The proposed quantitative research measures a correlation between Inner Dialogical Activity Scale (IDAS) by Piotr Oleś and Susceptibility-to-Persuasion-II scale (StP-II) and explores a possible influence of personality traits according to NEO-PI-R inventory. Validation of the Emotion Recognition Test (TRE)

The main topic of this thesis is emotional intelligence. The theoretical part is dedicated to the definition of emotional intelligence and the introduction to the problematic of this phenomenon. There is also a chapter dedicated to a review of emotional intelligence measures and critical assessment of the selected methods. Special focus is given to the approach of Mayer and Salovey. They defined emotional intelligence as the ability to understand, express, use and regulate emotions in self and others. On the base of their theory, they developed a method MSCEIT (Mayer Salovey Caruso Emotional Intelligence Test). The thesis is also reviewing a Bar-On's method and his approach. The purpose of the empirical part of the thesis is to validate the newly developed method TRE (Emotion Recognition Test) which was developed by a team from QED GROUP company. The data from this test and from the golden standard in measuring emotional intelligence - MSCEIT were compared by correlation. The result of the correlation between TRE and MSCEIT showed correlation on a significant level on the sample N = 65. The correlation between TRE and the total score of MSCEIT showed a satisfactory level of convergent validity (r = .249, p = .009). Values and life satisfaction of young adults

This master thesis focuses on values and life satisfaction of young adults. Theoretical part defines the concept of the terms "values", "life satisfaction", and "early adulthood". After that, results of the existing research on the topic of values and life satisfaction are introduced. Quantitative section of the empirical part examines the correlation between the level of importance of 23 values and the level of satisfaction in 23 different areas of life. Data sample consisted of 726 young adults. Quantitative section is followed by a qualitative research to compensate for deficiencies of the quantitative method. Results showed that 19 out of 23 areas have a statistically significant correlation between the level of value's importance and the level of satisfaction in the relevant area of life. One area of life manifested a statistically significant negative correlation. This research initiates a challenge to examine the relationship between the level of values' importance and the level of satisfaction in the respective areas of life more thoroughly. Cyberstalking

This bachelor's thesis is focused on cyberstalking, its victims and offenders. The purpose of this thesis is mapping of this criminal offence from the psychological point of view and from the law point of view as well. First part is aimed on characterisation of stalking, its manifestation and history followed by cyberspace theme and its specifics. Introduction the manifestation of cyberstalking, the typical victims, offenders and the impact on victims is the main part of the thesis. Last part is focused on introduction of cyberstalking in the law. Proposal od practical part is focused on qualitative research into the behaviour of victims on the internet and impact of cyberstalking on victims.

The role of self-talk and other chosen psychological aspects of sport performance and their interactions

This paper focuses on self-talk as a mental strategy, which is improving performance in sport. This work describes self-talk in terms of its dimensions and functions, and distinguishes between motivational and instructional form. The suitability of these forms for specific type of sport performance and phase of learning process is reflected as well. This work also describes other chosen psychological aspects of sport performance, through which self-talk influences an individual. These are attention, self-efficacy and flow. These aspects are described in context of sport performance, and their relation to self-talk is also reflected. This paper suggests an experiment, which should analyze effectivity of motivational and instructional form of self-talk on performance and self- efficacy. This experiment should also compare these two form between them.
