Attitudes of young people with disabilities to academic education

This thesis deals with issues of level and structure of education of contemporary Czech population with a view to the target group of disabled people. It talks about historical evolution in this field, current trends and available statistical data, which represent it. A prominent theme of the thesis is a lower number of disabled people with university education in comparison with intact population. We will have a short look at supportive measures for students with special needs at Czech universities as well. Then, a part of the thesis is a survey which examines attitudes of young disabled people towards university education. PaedDr. Vanda Hájková, Ph.D. ABSTRACT: This thesis deals with the method of reflex locomotion and its impact on people with disability. The theoretical part describes the introduction to methods of reflex locomotion - its definition, history, indication, the course of therapy, developmental ontogeny, the therapeutic system, justifies the reasons for the failure of therapy. The practical part is focused on the use of methods of reflex locomotion to people with disability. It includes research and impact assessment methods reflex locomotion on selected components of special education children early and preschool age, and shows the results of research on the awareness, adoption and use of methods at home. The main objective is to determine whether the method of reflex locomotion effects on selected special education methods - fine and gross motor skills, graphomotor and drawings. Supporting the high schools students with dyslexia

This thesis pursues the high school students with diagnosed dyslexia. In the first part the outlets of this dilemma are outlined by theory. It includes diagnostics, counseling, options and forms of supporting the high schools students with dyslexia. In the exploratory part the results of my research are presented. To achieve the thesis targets I used combination of qualitative and quantitative approach. In specific - interviews with students, question-form research and observations. Main part presents the attitudes of students to their handicap, studies progressions and options of their profession specialization after graduating from a high school. Sequentially the attitudes of parents to this dilemma as well as opinions of pedagogues about form of supporting the students and its application in practice are presented. Conclusion states the recommendations for counseling practice, pedagoguism and also references for parents.
Influence of primary reflexes for children with ADHD

TITLE: Influence of primary reflexes for children with ADHD AUTHOR: Petra Jirešová DEPARTMENT: Department of Special Education SUPERVISOR: PhDr. Pavlína Šumníková, Ph.D. ABSTRACT: Bachelor thesis deals with the topic of the influence of primary reflexes on the education of children with ADHD. I deal with concept of ADHD syndrome, etiology and diagnosis in the introduction to the thesis. In the next section I describe the individual school facilities and educational opportunities of students with ADHD. Next, I focus on organizations that can help parents of children with ADHD syndrome. In the last chapter of the introductory part, I will dedicate the primary reflexes and neuro-developmental therapy. As part of its investigation, I mention any studies that I have extended the findings of the examination of neuro-developmental therapy. Goal of the thesis is to determine whether, practice exercises, affects the suppression of persistent primary reflexes in children with ADHD. Own observations I concluded that therapy can relieve some ADHD Symptoms syndrome and improving their education. Attitudes of children of young school age to integrate people with disability

Title: Attitudes of children of young school age to integrate people with disability. The main topic of the thesis is the attitudes of younger pupils towards integrating their peers with disabilities. The thesis also briefly discusses the attitudes of families and teachers with regards to the issue. The theoretical basis which the thesis builds on is defining of the term "inclusion" and the related legislature. Issues of physical disability, personality of a person with a disability and societal views and approaches to disabilities are also explored. Specific characteristics of inclusive education are mentioned. The goal of the thesis is to map the attitudes of pupils towards inclusion, their feelings about being in a classroom where inclusive education is practiced and their way of perceiving their teacher`s work. The thesis employs a quantitative method of data collection via questionnaires. Key terms: Attitudes, inclusive education, people with disabilities, specifics of education.

Sense of physiotherapy techniques in the educational process of rehabilitation classes

The subject of this work is to investigate the educational activities in special classes of an elementary school for pupils with severe multiple disabilities, and particularly the involvement of elements of medical rehabilitation, used by a special pedagogue. In the theoretical part of the work an environment of rehabilitation classes is introduced, an educational process, that takes place here, and its specifics. Furthermore, basic methods used by the physiotherapists, while working with children with multiple disabilities, are outlined in here. The aim of this work is to specify mainly the particular possibilities of rehabilitation techniques and their effects in the educational process by a pedagogue without physiotherapy education. A casuistry of a specific student, who uses these kinds of techniques for her education, was processed as a part of this work. Particular methods and results attained through 1.5 year span are developed into a legible spreadsheet. The theoretical basis and practical findings showed that the involvement of rehabilitation techniques into the education of students with severe disabilities is not only beneficial, but even necessary to achieve positive results.
Stimulation programs for preschoolers and children with postponded school attendance

The thesis is dedicated to stimulations programs for preschool children and children with postponed schooling. The work is divided into five chapters. The first few chapters are focused on the information which is necessary for understanding the topic. These are about a psychological definition of pre-school age, as well as the issue of entering into a school, followed by a chapter about diagnostics, which usually come before the stimulation. Another chapter is focused on the actual stimulations programs, it contains their theoretical description, but also the information needed to create them. In the fifth chapter, an example of stimulation program was created. Its functionality is supported by the observations at the beginning of the program and during the program. The aim is to make a guide about creating of stimulation programs in the frame of the preschool preparation.
