Work motivation

This work focuses on the motivation of a labor activity and on motivation tools which can be used by an enterprise to stimulate its employees. The motivation is a complex inner process affected by a group of individual personal needs and interests and also by a lot of external incentives. Through the work activities, we aim to satisfy specific kind of needs such as need for achievements, need for success, need for self-fulfillment etc. I present the most known theories directly focused on the labor activity motivation, e.g. Maslow's hierarchy of needs, Herzberg's two-factor theory, Alderfer's ERG theory, McClelland's theory, theory of expectation, rightness or target etc. Because at the end, the stimulation target from the enterprise point of view is an increase of the quantity and quality of the employee outputs, I also focus on the demand for the output and the related motivation factors. In the work I describe motivation tools which can be used by an enterprise to stimulate its employees and I also target the conditions of creating and operation of the motivation program. At the end of the work, I address motivation tools of my current employer (under fictional name "AZ") and I attempt to evaluate their effectiveness.
Burnout syndrome

Syndrom vyhoření sdružuje řadu příznaků, které doprovázejí ztrátu původního nadšení a motivace. Podmínkou konečného vyhoření je počáteční entuziasmus. Postižený jedinec nejprve pro nějakou myšlenku, obrazně řečeno, vzplane, zahoří. Když po určité době usilovného snažení pocítí, že mu ani největší zanícení nepomůže dosáhnout cíle, začne pozvolna doutnat… Je emocionálně vyčerpaný, méně výkonný a straní se lidí, ke kterým si vytváří odosobněný vztah. Syndrom vyhoření bývá definován situačně specificky, tedy ve vazbě na povolání postiženého. Společným jmenovatelem profesí, které působí zvýšeným rizikem syndromu vyhoření, bývá kontakt s lidmi. Typicky se vyskytuje mezi příslušníky pomáhajících profesí: lékaři, zdravotními sestrami, psychology, učiteli, manažery. Ti se setkávají s překážkami, které někdy pociťují jako nepřekonatelné. Toužili kdysi léčit, učit, vést zaměstnance či prodávat, ale postupem času získali nepříjemné zkušenosti o tom, že všechny nelze úspěšně vyléčit, naučit, vést či motivovat ke koupi. Ztrácejí vůli ke smyslu.
Competencies of a lecturer in pedagogy of experience

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to characterize the most important competencies of a lecturer, who uses methods of experience pedagogy. The word "competency" means required abilities, knowledge and personal characteristics as well as different tasks and related authority of a lecturer. One part of the thesis deals with competencies of lecturers of social-psychological trainings. That is because these trainings are focused on social competencies which are essential for lecturers in experience pedagogy. The last chapter focuses on evaluation of lecturers. Specifically I describe a system of evaluation in an NGO called "Jules a Jim", mainly the process of creation of a competency model of a lecturer using methods of experiential learning. On the basis of the results of the evaluation I would like to propose recommendations on training lecturers at Jules a Jim.
Adult education in scout movements

This Bachelor's Thesis deals with the questions of adult education in Jumlk - Association of Scouts and Guides - CZ in connection with state regularizations. Apart from the analysis of Czech regularizations, it also mentions the European situation. In the Czech Republic, there is not one law treating the area of non-governmental youth organizations but only partial obligations. Non-governmental organizations can accredit their courses if they observe the state requirements and so does Junak. Europe insists on the quality of non-formal education with which assuring is concerned the project of the organization Youth Forum Jeunesse. Junak - Association of Scouts and Guides - CZ has its own multistep educational system for its adult members. Each qualification corresponds to the function executed by volunteers. The concept of competences is gradually gaining ground. It tries to lay down all knowledge, skills and positions needed for successful exercising of each function. Besides, Junak is obliged to tackle all problems and questions arising around its courses and qualifications. Junak also holds a number of non-qualifYing courses of bigger or smaller extent.
Harmonization of working and family life of contemporary woman

The main aim of this text is to inform the reader about the possibilities of harmonisation of the working and family life of contemporary woman. However, right at the beginning I would like to stress, that although the title contains the word "woman," women are not - even cannot be - the only target group related to the topic of harmonisation of the working and family life. This theme involves every member of the society. In this sense are all people the actors, who create the social reality and thus influence the quality of social life and related possibilities of articulation of the working and family sphere. The topic of harmonisation is closely connected with assertion of the equal opportunities of women and men. This work is primarily dedicated to women, because they meet the problem of compatibility of work and family daily, and it often means difficult task for them. We are talking mainly about the women on maternal leave and following parental leave, who are at that time, and often long before, facing the decision between career and family. Theoretical resources of education during old age

Elaboration of the following text was primarily motivated by an effort to contribute toward propagation of awareness of a sense of education during old age and potentialities and limits of its practical realization. With utilisation of statistics, internetional documents and conclusions of assorted researches it is adverted to an evident discrepance between considerable expectations on education of elderly persons and its real situation, background and popularity within the present Czech society. What naturally couldn't stay out of interest is a theoretical comprehension of gerontagogy - a relatively modern science concerning with education "in old age and for old age", which I regard as a further, greatly advanced, qualitative stage in a process of differantiation and specialization of education sciences. A public demand that stands behind its formalization is widely associated especially with a worldwide trend of demographic aging. This trend represents - not only for gerontagogy - a major, unexplored area that raises many questions. What orientation of education in gerontagogy will prevail in future? Will its economic or humanitarian dimension win? Will education be adopted by old people themselves as an obvious part of a lifelong development and will it turn into a fulfilment of a responsible approach...
Individual and social development of a grammar school teacher

Supposed work attempts in its three chapters conceive as wide as possible spectrum of conditions, informations and angels of different views, which are necessary to take into account in setting up of further development (education) of teachers in area of personal and social development. It is whole life process of improvement , which influence further acts of the teacher on students and his own life. It has not as a target to solve the problems, it only outlines whole mentioned thematic. Most of informations were taken from relevant pedagogic literature and laws. Actual themes and discussions where taken over from web discussions. At the end of each chapter an author tries to summarize a groundwork found out in literature and expresses her own opinion.
Communication in organization

Communication is one of the most discussed themes of today and its significance is ever growing. Most often, communication is divided in verbal and nonverbal. It depends if the content of the communicated message is put across in words or not. Every person uses his or her communication style in the contact with others which is different in each situation. The art of communication is the ground not only in everyday life but also in employment. Every organization is a place where communication happens intensively. It is directed outward, and of course it takes a place inside. Internal communication is the prerequisite of good outer communication. The most important aim of internal communication is to inform its members about internal processes and to get feedback about the functioning of an organization. Communication in an organization proceeds in different directions (e.g. vertically, horizontally, diagonally) and in different ways (e.g. formally and informally). The whole exchange of information takes place with the help of several communication media. Historic development of Czech andragogy and its prominent personalities

The thesis addresses the historical evolution of Czech andragogy and its prominent figures. The introductory section of the thesis discusses the emergence, evolution and current state of andragogy in the world and its present-day conception in the Czech Republic, defines its relationship in regard to the term of adult education and, at the same time, presents andragogy as a scientific discipline and field of study, as well as an area of professional practice. The subsequent section describes the historical evolution of andragogy in the Czech domain. The central part of the thesis is devoted to the historical and present-day prominent figures of Czech andragogy. It profiles the life stories of 18 prominent figures, from the period of time from the 1960's until now, who have professionally pursued or are still professionally pursuing matters regarding the training and education of adults. The thesis provides previously unknown and unique facts regarding the lives and creative activities of many prominent figures and introduces some of these individuals for the first time ever.
Corporate identity - theory and realization of social auditing

This diploma thesis tries to map the area of trade culture. It tries to define the trade culture and brings its typology. It features the characteristic of learning organization, which is one of the most discussed typologies of the trade culture. In addition, the second part is focused on theory and practice of the social audit that was realized at the Střední odborná škola a Střední odborné učiliště in Kralupy nad Vltavou. In connection with this audit, this work is focused on the trade culture of school and its autoevaluation as one of the possible means of determination of the level of trade culture of schools.
