Distance learning of pupils with special educational needs from the perspective of primary school teachers

This thesis is concerned with identifying appropriate approaches to distance learning for pupils with special educational needs in mainstream primary schools. The theoretical part of the thesis defines the system of education of pupils with special educational needs and the possibilities of their support. Furthermore, it describes the specifics of education of pupils with different types of disadvantages of pupils with special educational needs, defines distance education in general and summarizes the knowledge about distance education due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Based on the analysis of the existing knowledge about distance education of pupils with special educational needs, a questionnaire for teachers was compiled. The survey answered questions about the involvement of students with special educational needs in distance education. Based on the results and analysis of the survey, possible recommendations for distance education of pupils with special educational needs in primary schools were proposed.
Testimonies of adolescents and adults with dyslexia, dyslexia - a problem or a advantage

The diploma thesis deals with the testimonies of adolescents and adults with dyslexia, it deals with the idea of whether dyslexia is a problem or an advantage for a person. The theoretical part of the thesis defines basic concepts such as dyslexia and its effects on people in society. The first chapter is devoted to the types of approaches to education and the support of individuals with specific learning disabilities. The second chapter deals with the factors that affect the personality of adolescents and adults with SLD. The third chapter describes support and intervention for people with dyslexia. The main goal of the thesis and research is to specify individuals with dyslexia in the context of their self-concept and involvement in society. The practical part of the diploma thesis has been realized by means of a qualitative research survey. The diploma thesis Art as a means of prevention and correction of dysgraphia in the environment of the 1st stage of primary school represents a connection of special pedagogy with art education in the environment of a primary school. The diploma thesis also presents intervention material to examine the effectiveness of the development of fine motor skills, visual-motor coordination, concentration of attention and visual imagination. The aim of the work is to offer an insight into the theory of specific learning disabilities, to present the author's intervention material as a possibility of initial pedagogical diagnostics, development and correction in the field of special educational needs as a whole with the help of art education. Course of an early intervention in a child with hearing impairment

The thesis deals with the course of the early intervention in children with a hearing impairment. The main goal of this work is to map the services of early intervention in the Czech Republic, specifically in the vicinity of its capital. One of the goals is to evaluate these services from the perspective of both the parents and the professionals. The theoretical part deals with the child's personality and the initial period of his/her life, including its historical concept and importance in the family. The chapter is devoted to early intervention itself, discussing its importance, objectives and legislative inclusion. Part of this work is also devoted to the history and individual ministries that provide their services to families and children with hearing impairments. The following chapters deal with the offered possibilities of education of children with a hearing impairment and diagnostics of hearing defects, as well as compensatory aids, therapy and communication systems. The practical part mainly concerns the course of evaluation of early intervention, including early care services in the Center for Children's Hearing Tamtam, o. p. s. The results of the research survey were processed from interviews with parents and early care counselors.
Art activities for children with mental disability of preschool age

The master's thesis deals with art activities for children with intellectual disability of preschool age. The theoretical section characterizes a child of preschool age, defines intellectual disability, its causes, classification, symptos and describes a child with intellectual disability of preschool age. Furthermore, there is an introduction of preschool education system in The Czech Republic and curricular documents and legal regulations dealing with preschool education, the organization and didactics of preschool education plus educational specifics of children with intellectual disability are stated in the thesis. The practial part defines main goal of this thesis, describes research technique and the institution, where the art activities were held, and children from research sample. Further, there are five art activities prepared as well as the description of their execution process. The main goal of this thesis is to create a five-art-activities file for children with intellectual disability of preschool age and then execute all of them in kindergarten to verify if they are suitable for children with intellectual disability of preschool age. Prevention of specific learning disabilities in preschool: action reschears

The thesis thematically focuses on the prevention of specific learning disabilities in preschool children. The theoretical part of the thesis characterizes the development of a child in preschool age and individual types of specific learning disabilities. Thereafter, the possibilities of screening and diagnostics of individuals at risk of specific learning disabilities and concrete diagnostic and preventive methods used in the Czech environment are presented. The aim of the diploma thesis is to create a program to prevent the emergence of specific learning disabilities, through the selection of activities aimed at the progress of individual areas of development and partial functions, especially those which are found by the research to be the least developed. The basis for the creation of a prevention program consists of data obtained in the diagnosis of the level of partial functions in preschool children and experience gained during targeted work with children at risk of developing SLD. Role of teaching assistant at primary school with Montessori program

This bachelor's thesis deals with the topic of the role of teacher assistant in a primary school classroom with Montessori program, focusing on the inclusion of pupils with special educational needs and on the position of a teacher assistant in Montessori learning environment. We defined the education of pupils with special educational needs, including the most frequent diagnoses we encounter during the research. The whole paper is grounded in the legislation of the Czech Republic in the field of primary education. The paper also describes alternative education and its most common varieties and includes the characteristics of the education following Maria Montessori philosophy. This part is dedicated to the principles of the Montessori method, to the role of a Montessori teacher, to the characteristics of the classroom environment as well as to the teaching organisation, including teaching forms and methods. This diploma thesis deals with the issue of inclusion of pupils with Asperger's syndrome in primary schools. It analyzes the inclusion of selected student with Asperger's syndrome and it's based on a case report, verifies the success of inclusion in a practice. The main aim of this diploma tesis is to describe and analyze the factors, which contribute to the inclusion of pupils with Asperger's syndrome in education in a regular school. The theoretical part of the diploma thesis deals with the definition of Asperger's syndrome and other issuses related to the inclusion. The research analysed the obtained data and answered set research questions.
