Self-concept of students with specific learning disabilities in secondary school

The dissertation is focused on the self-concept of students and adults who have learning disabilities. The general charakcteristic of learning disorders and their symptoms is in the theoretical part. The diagnostics and principles of reeducation are clarified. The secondary symptoms and the impact of child failure on his future professional career are described in the next chapter. The difficulties of pupils suffering from lerning disabilities is highlighted. The practical part deals with the self-concept of students and adults who have to deal with the problems associated with learning. There are records from their teachers and classmates too. I examined seven pupils on secondary school and five adults in my dissertation.
Using of bibliotherapy for pre-school children: Fairytale therapy

The bachelor thesis deals with using of fairytale therapy with pre-school children. Its aim is above all to draft suitable bibliotherapeutic techniques for working with pre-school children. The thesis also strives to introduce fairytale therapy as one of possible pedagogical and psychological way of working with children. It shows how to work with fairytale text with children, that have exactly defined areas of problems within the frame of their behaviour and mentality. The outcome of the project is suggestion of several bibliotherapeutic techniques, which use fairytales as valuable source for therapeutic work with children. These suggestions contain both recommended questions for fairytale text and description of following activities for bibliotherapeutic work with the kid. Additional literature for particular topics is also recommended. The thesis is theoretical and based on available bibliography concerning the topic.
Learning aids for educational therapy of dysorthographia of primary schools pupils

Title: The learning aids for educational therapy of dysortographia of primary school pupils pupils Thesis "The learning aids for educational therapy of dysortographia of primary school pupils" aims at assembling a list of method of reducing dysortographia - a specific grammar disability - and assessing their effectiveness for treating this disability. The theoretical part of the thesis covers terminology, symptoms and ethiology of specific learning disabilities. Next, the topic of specific learning disabilities is discussed in the context of primary school (ages 7 - 12). Diagnostics, methods of educational therapy and learning aids are described in relation to dysortographia. The reserch part of the thesis describes the methods used in special pedagogical intervention and, based on analysis of input and output diagnostics, assesses the effect of used methods on management of dysortographia in a chosen sample of pupils, compared to the control group which hasn't been treated with these methods. The utilize facilities of individual education plan by children with specific learning difficulties

The topic of the thesis are the special educational needs of pupils with specific learning difficulties. The aim of this paper is to explore the awareness of parents about the possibility of using individual educational plan for the education of children with learning disabilities and support the role of parents in educational process. The theoretical base of the thesis discusses the concept of specific learning disorders, their etiology, classification, diagnosis. It also defines individual education plan, describes the basic principles on which this plan is based on. The practical part includes quantitative research questionnaire method that detects the condition of awareness of parents on this issue, a description of the data and their subsequent evaluation. Pavlína Šumníková, Ph.D. The year of presentation: 2013 Abstract: The aim of this thesis was to use and verify basal stimulation in preschool children diagnosed with ADHD. I used simple methods of qualitative research - studying the history data, structured interview method, observation. Using the compiled program is able to demonstrate that the elements of basal stimulation can be used in individuals with ADHD. Basal stimulation is beneficial for them. The results show that helps maintain their calm. During the application of basal stimulation was also improved the perception of these children. The basal stimulation also has a positive effect on their ability to concentrate. However, during the application of the program, I failed to demonstrate that it has the effect on the projected extension of the capabilities. The compiled program, which was conducted on a sample of four probands, exceeded my expectations. How to choose secondary school for a child with specific learning disabilities

How to choose a secondary school for a child with specific learning disabilities The aim of the diploma thesis was to outline the current situation in the secondary school choice for pupils with specific learning disabilities and to arouse discussion about the topic. The thesis has the form of an overview study followed by a research probe. On the basis of the research probe, stages of secondary school choice are specified and recommendations regarding the choice are presented for the pupils with specific learning disabilities. The theoretical part of the diploma thesis deals with the definition of the following main terms based on the literature studied: specific learning disabilities, self-concept and career counseling. Further, the thesis includes a description of symptoms of the specific learning disabilities that are connected with the preferred strategy for secondary school choice. In the practical part of the thesis, the research probe is provided. The research sample is represented by pupils with specific learning disabilities attending the 9th grade of school in four regions (Prague, Pilsen, Ústí nad Labem and Moravian-Silesian region). Primary school pupil's attitudes to the joint education with disabled pupils

This thesis is focused on the issue and possibilities of an education of disabled pupils in primary schools. The first two chapters deal with basic terms relating to this issue and are focused on legislation, current trends in the area of an education of disabled pupils, outline possibilities of integrative and inclusive education and consultancy services in the Czech education system. The third chapter brings an overview of current situation concerning education of these pupils in the Region Pardubice. Last chapter is dedicated to analysis primary school pupils' attitudes to the joint education with disabled students.
