Success in life seen by an employee of social work

The subject of the graduation thesis is a success in life seen through the eyes of a social field worker. The theoretical part explains terms such as value and motivation. It brings information obtained from the literature about the values of the contemporary Czech society and contemplates about its development. It also includes a short presentation of the individual results of the specific student works. It tries to use the words to describe success, success in life, to summarize the factors influencing the success in life. Last but not least, it brings closer the social work and the specific facilities of the social services, in which the research occurred. The practical part describes and analyzes opinions, ideas, observations of four employees of a low-threshold social services facility helping people without a shelter, in relation to the success in life. It tries to describe their idea of a success in life, which is seen in connection with a diligence, own initiative, commitment, knowledge and honest work. It brings a perspective of their prevailing life values, motivation and quests for the relationships with the choice of their occupation. Individual training in the field of specific learning disorders in children's homes of Liberec region - managing change

Abstract. This thesis deals with the importance of the individual work of a special educator in children's homes. Part of the description of the existing system of institutional education, including historical background. This system is then compared with models of care for vulnerable children used in other countries On the description of the system and fundamental issues that children in institutional care have, is based the individual request for the need of the work of a special educator focused on one of the main factors in the success of children - school success as a prerequisite for their future careers. The second part of the thesis is a description of the implementation of the changes in the form of the project, this part is based on the theoretical level from the description of the management of children's homes and their options, from what in the field of technical work and the skills of workers, children's homes. On this basis, then generates a description of the objectives and methodology of pedagogical intervention changes. Curator for youth is then discussed in a separate chapter, which sets out the legislation with which it operates. It is it also describes his job description, including cooperation in criminal matters and youth cooperation with other agencies and organizations. It also presents a risk group of clients. The third chapter deals with the criminal responsibility of young people, together with the possibilities of measures imposed to young offenders. The last chapter is a practical part of this work, which includes the main research questions, process and method data obtained and subsequently the results of the findings. This is a research probe.

7 Summary This bachelor thesis is divided into parts, specifically theoretical and practical part. Theme is adolescents and their relationship to the authorities. To understand such relationship you need to know psychic development at this developmental stage. First sections of theoretical part are about this psychic development. Separate part is about authority and its development. Practical part tries to establish what does authority mean to adolescents. Main question is what must person with authority do, how to act and how to interact with students. Major part of answers was as expected but some answers are surprising and new The results could be instructions for teachers to know what students want and expect.

Life values of pupils of 8th and 9th grades

The diploma thesis "Life values of pupils of 8th and 9th grades" deals with the life values in the complicated lifetime of adolescence. The main focus is on the youth at the age of 13 to 15, which corresponds with the 8th and 9th grade of elementary schools or with tercie and kvarta of grammar schools. The thesis concentrates primarily on the values and value rankings of individuals, mentions possible influences on these values and explains some concepts related to the values.or explaining the values. I specify the life period of adolescence, the integration of individuals into the society and their bonds to their families. The adolescents' ideas about their future are also reflected. The practical part of the thesis compares the life values of primary school pupils and grammar school students. To demonstrate the differences, I use a questionnaire survey complemented with professional opinions of teachers and professors from the schools mentioned. I am trying to find out if their values, value rankings, ideas about future life and their parents' support are significantly different in some ways or if there are any remarkable contrasts in these areas in terms of genders.

Stability of the Financial System: Systemic Dependencies between Bank and Insurance Sectors

The central issue of this thesis is investigating the eventuality of systemic break- downs in the international financial system through examining systemic depen- dence between bank and insurance sectors. Standard models of systemic risk often use correlation of stock returns to evaluate the magnitude of intercon- nectedness between financial institutions. One of the main drawbacks of this approach is that it is oriented towards observations occurring along the central part of the distribution and it does not capture the dependence structure of outlying observations. To account for that, we use methodology which builds on the Extreme Value Theory and is solely focused on capturing dependence in extremes. The analysis is performed using the data on stock prices of the EU largest banks and insurance companies. We study dependencies in the pre- crisis and post-crisis period. The objective is to discover which sector poses a higher systemic threat to the international financial stability. Also, we try to find empirical evidence about an increase in interconnections in recent post- crisis years. We find that in both examined periods systemic dependence in the banking sector is higher than in the insurance sector.
