Improvisation and Creativity in Dance and Movement Education in Primary School

The goal of this thesis is to remind the importance of the two selected categories of the educational content of the subject of dance and movement education in primary school: improvisation and creativity, their conception and implementation in education. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part firstly deals with dance based on movement - the most natural activity of everyone. Then, the subject of dance and movement education is introduced together with its characteristics. The following chapters describe the importance of improvisation and creativity in dance and movement education. The practical part consists of a qualitative research of which the main aim was to find out how improvisation and creativity are being fulfilled in practice. The research was realized using the method of participating observation. That part also presents its results.
Development of cooperation between family and nursery school

This thesis deals with the forms of cooperation between parents and nursery school. The theoretical part focuses on family and school as educational institutions, their definition, historical development and the related current trends in cooperation between them. It defines the forms of cooperation in the core curriculum and is looking for inspiring elements of this strategy and cooperation in innovative educational programs, "Step by Step" and "Health Promoting Schools" The empiric part presents the research that focuses on development cooperation nursery schools and families. The pedagogue also chooses certain evaluation method to show individual progress or pupil margin and on their basis choose corresponding way of work. The types of evaluation used by a teacher put in the context the educational reform and current trends used within the obligatory school paper, RVP ZV. This master thesis is searching for evaluation methods resulting from the knowledge of educational psychology about pupil learning process. The particular evaluation methods are further brought out based on the specific objective. Practical part of the paper describes and analyzes the evaluation methods in practice of one teacher in a given school and characterizes evaluation as significant part of her individual concept of teaching. Gifted child in a pre-school age

This Master degree dissertation focuses on issue of gifted pre-school children. The text is dividend into two parts - theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part, a complex general introduction into the gifted children field is presented; characteristics of such children, possibilities of their identification, and the following support and development of their talent is discussed. As for the goal of the second part, it is to find out an approach of the kindergarten teachers to gifted children. The work presents a case study of the attitude and behavior of a particular gifted child.

La thse résume dans la partie théorique des informations disponibles concernants le talent et les élves doués. La partie théorique met au fait des modifications d'enseignement de ces élves, qui sont permis par la legislature tchque. La partie pratique poursuit un objet de décrire et lever une des formes possibles d'enseignemet des élves doués - la ségrégation partielle - sur la base de la recherche d'action. Elle rapproche aussi des exigences sur l'enseignant des élves doués.
Issues of Gifted Education in the Teacher Training for Primary School

The thesis deals with issues related to implementation of the topic of gifted education into teacher training for primary schools. In the theoretical part of this thesis are prepared on the basis of scientific literature the most important findings concerning the theory and the concept of talent. Main attention is paid to personality of gifted child in preschool and primary school age, their identification, specific forms of behavior and potential problems. Following are summarized basic organizational forms, strategies and models of gifted education. Given the current trend of integration of pupils with special educational needs, the thesis focus on education of gifted students in regular classrooms. In the next section are described the specifics of development and state of the system of care for gifted pupils in the Czech Republic. The final chapter is devoted to issues of personality and teacher education. The aim of the research part of this thesis is in the action research based on the planning, re-implementation and evaluation of actual teaching to create unique design of course focused on issues of highly able pupils as part of teacher training for primary schools at the Faculty of Education, Charles University.
Assessment and self-assessment through a pupils's portfolio at primary education

The diploma thesis is of a theoretical-research nature. The theoretical part deals with an innovative school assessment approach which is required by the current conception of the primary education. The attention is paid to the innovative forms of assessment, especially to the self-assessment and the pupil's portfolio. The aims, the research questions and the methods of the exploration are formulated in the research part. There is a presentation of the results of the research, which was focused on the pupil's portfolio as a means of assessment and self-assessment in the conception of several primary education teachers. The options as well as the difficulties of the portfolio assessment are presented. The final product of the thesis is a summary of recommendations for primary education teachers who would like to start to apply the pupil's portfolio in their teaching practice. Utilization of Weekly diary for developing personal competencies of primary school pupils

Diploma thesis Utilization of weekly diary for developing personal competences of primary school pupils deals with strategies of development of pupils' social and personal competences, namely with fulfilling the chosen goals of personal and social education in primary school. The theoretic part of my thesis proves the meaning of the goals of personal and social education and lists the possibilities of their realisation in primary school. The thesis is farther concerned with the development of the key competences with the help of personal and social education and its methods. I concentrate on the meaning of the individualisation in pupils' education and the means of the development of reflective skills in a heterogenous class. The empirical part is an teacher's action research in its character. It presents a description of an authentically created process of the introduction of Weekly diary method to the work of primary school pupils'. The purpose of Weekly diary is to help the development of pupils' skills of self-reflexion. Alongside it should support good climax in the class, make the pupil - teacher relationship closer and the individualised support of the pupils' learning process more effective. Teaching styles of drama teachers

The thesis presents information on teaching styles and their categorization. It deals with self-reflection as a key competence of the teacher. It describes the specifics of the drama teacher's profession. The empirical part of the thesis is focused on the observation of teaching styles of selected teachers. Next, we analyze their teaching style and together we reflect on the results. As a baseline theory for survey of teaching styles was chosen publication Fenstermacher and Soltis: Approaches to teaching.
