Gender and work in the armed forces from a psychological perspective

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to explore current position of women in army and combat roles. In the exordium, we define the term armed forces and add a short summary of gender, gender stereotypes and roles. This leads us to the teoretical part, where we firstly address the common gender differences. We investigate relevant physical differences, motivation of men and women, social perception of gender roles, stereotype of woman as a weaker worker and influence of women on team. Then we confront gender stereotypes, army requirements and research data. Finally, we address big issues of women working in army, like sexual harrasment, motherhood and marriage of soldiers. Here we study problems like harrasement by a superior or effect of long period absence on a child. We inquire into how women in army are percieved by their male counterparts, gender roles in army and dilemma of double perception of female combatants - as women and as soldiers. Naturalism in French and European literatur

The diploma thesis Naturalism in French and European literature deals with the French literary movement naturalism. The first aim of the thesis is to determine the scope of naturalism and its influence on other European literatures and writers. The second aim is to conduct a research on the way naturalism is taught in Czech schools and to map to what extent the theoretical knowledge is reflected in school practice. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part focuses on the literary naturalism as such, on its development and characteristics and it introduces French and European naturalist writers and their most important works. The thesis is interested in the influence of French naturalism on European literature. The practical part, or the research, is concerned with the teaching of the topic of the literary naturalism at Czech grammar schools. It examines the impact of this movement in the Czech context, the attitude of individual teachers and the amount of time devoted to this topic in the classes. The practical part also studies which writers are dealt with in the classes and which works are regardedas exemplary. Důvody pro setrvání na trhu práce u seniorů v ČR

The current demographical situation of the Czech Republic suggests that its population is rapidly aging. It is, therefore, imperative to improve the employment rate for citizens above the age of 50. For this diploma thesis, the goal is to identify the factors that influence Czech senior citizens while deciding at which age to retire, and to recommend additional solutions to improve the employment rate for Czech citizens above the age of 50. To determine these factors, the secondary data from the SHARE database of 2011, 2013, and 2015 were analyzed. Additionally, the results of the quantitative survey are supplemented with in-depth interviews focused on the motivations of Czech seniors for remaining in the labor market. Several of the most important factors identified include the following: work satisfaction, chronic diseases, household income per person, hours worked per week, depression rate, subjectively perceived health, physical demand of the job, and level of education. Several recommendations have been proposed for the state, regions, organizations, and individuals as a result of the analyses. In particular, changes have been proposed for the pension system, the central organization supporting seniors' health, the support of seniors' education, the application of phased retirement and the bridge jobs, the job position of the intergenerational mentor, the ergonomics of the workplace, the support of active lifestyle, and the establishment of clubs.

This bachelor thesis deals with how geographical information systems are used in public administration. It includes introduction to public administration and geo-graphical information systems. Also describes in which areas of public administra-tion are GIS used. The practical part is focused on how are GIS used in practice at Brno City Municipality. Here is described work of GIS department, asset of GIS for City Municipality and evalution of application and contribution for City Municipali-ty. Part of this part is also description of map application pertaining to gravestone of honorary graves, which is practical contribution of this bachelor thesis.

Cognitive profile of children with autism spectrum disorder in early school age

Autism spectrum disorders has been a serious and widely discussed social topic in terms of severity and increasing frequency during the last few years. Psychodiagnostics process itself is often very demanding, and the measurement of the child's cognitive abilities is also a part of the comprehensive examination. Therefore, the results may make an enormous contribution to psychological diagnosis, clinical practice and education. The aim of the master thesis and the further research is to obtain information about the cognitive profile of children with autism spectrum disorder in comparison with neurotypical children, namely in the age range of six to twelve years. Firstly, the testing was carried out in the research group of 80 respondents, respectively with 40 respondents in the research group and 40 respondents in the control group. Secondly, each participant underwent testing using the Wechsler Intelligence Battery (WISC- III). Thirdly, the group of children with PAS underwent the neuropsychological battery, the A Developmental Neuropsychological Assessment (NEPSY-II) subtest. Role of brand in branding activities of Ice Hockey World Championship

Title: Role of brand in branding activities of Ice Hockey World Championship Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to create a new archetype of brand of Ice Hockey World Championship. This archetype is based on results of qualitative research which is focused on perception of brand of Ice Hockey World Championship from last 11 years (2007-2017). Methods: Written and electronic questioning was used in research focused on the perception of brand of Ice Hockey World Championship. This research is very important part of the thesis. The theoretical part is based on the analysis of documents (theoretical reflection). Descriptive analysis was used in the analytical part. Results: Archetype of brand of Ice Hockey World Championship was created in the thesis. Asexuality - identification and sexuality

The purpose of this thesis and its research is to cover the asexual community in terms of identification and characteristics of sexual life. In theoretical part the groups Gray-A, demisexual and aromantic are described. It compares the approaches of asexuality as a disorder and as a sexual orientation. It discusses asexuality and relationships, celibacy or physical contact. The research gathered data about group prevalence, self-identification, sexual preferencies - real as well as ideal, masturbation and pornography. The research sample accounted for 160 respondets from the AVEN forum. The online questionnaire was prepared especially for this thesis. The data are presented as whole as well as divided into two age groups - the younger (18-23) and older (24-59) group. The significant difference was found in these areas: usage of sex toys/objects of sexual pleasure, number of sexual partners, relationship status and the age of first sexual intercourse. Theoretical part - in concordancy with research - shows, that a portion of asexuals: has relationships, uses pornography and sexual toys, is romantic and experiences various types of sex.
