Historical curriculum at primary school
Šulcová, Jana ; Dvořáková, Michaela (advisor) ; Stará, Jana (referee)
This thesis discusses the historical curriculum in primary school and looking for ways to teach it effectively. Its aim is to analyze the educational goals of the historical curriculum of primary school. The introduction deals with the question of why history should be part of education in the first grade of primary school. Furthermore, it compares the historical conception of education at primary school in our conditions with the concept of the state, whose aims and methods of historical thinking are inspiring for us. Based on the findings and recommendations of domestic and foreign researches are in the empirical part of the thesis didactic designed tutorials selected topic historical subject matter with regard to diagnosis and development of historical thinking. Proposed lessons were implemented in the second year of primary school. At the end of each lesson is to evaluate the effectiveness of proposed schemes through analysis worksheets and comparing the results of the input and output mind maps and chalk talk. The entire set of lessons is evaluated through analysis of the final evaluation sheets pupils.
Enteral nutrition in oncology patients
Šulcová, Jana ; Křížová, Jarmila (advisor) ; Mráz, Miloš (referee)
This bachelor thesis considers possibilities of enteral nutrition and its influence on life quality of oncological patients. The thesis consists of a theoretical and an experimental part. The theoretical part compiles the issue of malnutrition and nutritional support with emphasis on enteral nutrition. It deals with malnutrition in oncology and its solution. In the experimental part, a study of influence of enteral nutrition on life quality of oncological patients was conducted. A question was, how health condition, life quality and energy intake of patients are changed after one month of enteral nutrition use. The survey includes a physical examination, measuring patients with a machine Bodystat Quadscan 4000, filling up a questionnaire, evaluation of laboratory tests, and analysis of the patient's diet. The results of the study prove positive influence of enteral nutrition on health condition of patients with respect to laboratory tests. According to the questionnaire, the life quality of patients increased and the diet report shows increased energy intake. The physical examination results and Bodystat measurements did not prove positive influence of enteral nutrition.
Integration of displaced person in contemporary czech society
Šulcová, Jana ; Šotolová, Eva (advisor) ; Mlčková, Marie (referee)
This bachelor thesis is focused on knowledge gained from reading literature on the topic, survey of homeless people treated by qualitative methods and personal experiences with work and contact with the homeless. The bachelor thesis tries to describe on the example of the cities Prague and Beroun current climate that exists among the homeless, the causes of homelessness, and the possibilities of socialization of displaced person.
The coal-forming environments
Šulcová, Jana ; Opluštil, Stanislav (advisor) ; Pešek, Jiří (referee)
The coal is a caustobiolith, which originates by biochemical transformation of plant biomass and its subsequent diagenesis under increased temperature, pressure and time. Coal occurs in a form of a layer, which is called a seam. A peat is an early stage of coal, which is formed by anaerobic decomposition of plant biomass accumulated in peatlands. Peatlands consist important subgroup of wetlands, where low oxygen content and water logging are important pre-requisites for their formation. The term peatlands has different meanings in various scientific disciplines and countries and so there is wide range of terms describing wetlands and peatlands. We don't exactly know the global distribution of peatlands, but the estimate is about 386 - 409 mil. ha. The hydrology is one of the main factors, which determine type of peatlands. We can distinguish two main types - ombrotrophic mires, which are fed by precipitation and rheotrophic mires, which are fed by groundwater (besides precipitation). During development peatlands can switch from rheotrophic state to ombrotrophic state. Two areas in the province Riau in Sumatra were chosen for a comparison. Siak Kanan is on the coast and Bengkalis Island, which represents the peat on the island. Final analysis of samples taken from peatlands show no significant...

Medial muck-raking of sexual affairs in fold in czech press in spring 2010
Šulcová, Jana ; Nečas, Vlastimil (advisor) ; Gerbery, Juraj (referee)
The thesis "Medial muck-raking of sexual affairs in the Church in Czech press in spring 2010" through the use of medial ruts, stereotypes and logic, inquires into medial texts from the springtime 2010, which have referenced to sexual affairs in Catholic Church. Based on medial theories (gatekeeping, social construction of reality, agenda setting etc.) the thesis follows up the reflection of the theme and specifics of media discourse. This view is complemented with interviews with members of the Church, which give the thesis out-of- media extent. Qualitative part of the thesis takes sexual affairs in Church as illustrative theme, which is meant in connection with the Roman Catholic Church reflected by Czech media. The thesis also attempts to generalize the actual medial reflection of the Church on the background of current medial trends. It tries to offer a way how to improve the relationship between two part of culture - media and the Roman Catholic Church. To put the thesis into context it will be provided with information about history of the Roman Catolic Church and relationship of Czech society to matters of the church, because it determinates perception of medial news about this theme.
Analysis of candidate transmembrane adaptor proteins
Šulcová, Jitka ; Černý, Jan (referee) ; Drbal, Karel (advisor)
Transmembrane adaptor proteins (TRAPs) function as a scaffolding anchor for numerous signaling molecules and facilitate formation of large signaling complexes near the plasma membrane. They regulate spatio-temporal organization of signaling events in order to transduce fast and effective signal from surface receptors into the cell nucleus. The importance of described TRAPs in the development and proper functioning of immune cells in relation to their localization within lipid rafts is still under debate. The simple reason is the lack of a profound phenotype in knock-out mice. The described phenotypes observed in animals deficient in ITAM-containing adaptors of immunoreceptors as well as lipid raft adaptor Lat all lead to the block in the T-cell development and impaired TCR signaling. The subject of my diploma thesis is to perform bioinformatic search and filter candidate TRAP genes according to predicted and published data. Selected TRAP candidates were subjected to functional characterization. I checked for their localization to the plasma membrane and correlate their ectopic overexpression with the expression of CD69 surface Tcell activation marker. From 14 candidate TRAPs, only a single Pdzk1ip1 protein is probably localized to the plasma membrane but its expression does not influence CD69...
