Effect of artistic means to personal development for people with intellectual disabilities

The dissertation thesis deals with the impact of means of art (dance and fine art) on the pesonality development of mentally handicapped adults. The topič is developed on both theoretical and practical levels. The thesis describes the philosophical and social science basis of this approach and lists research projects dealing with art therapy and dance therapy for mentally handicapped People. The work includes practical and theoretical aspects of art therapy and dance therapy in a broader context. Castellology as a historical-cultural inspiration source imn art education

The dissertation thesis "Castellology as a historical-cultural inspiration source in art education", is dedicated to the historical discipline castellology and its developing aspects shared with art education and general education. One of the main parts of the thesis is the finding of historical connections between ancient disciplines and their intentional and functional influences in a social sense. In terms of historiography there are also some articles devoted to selected authors, whose influence was fundamental to both disciplines. The thesis surveys not only a historical point of view, but also the contemporary situation. The empirical part of the thesis is based on the theoretical part. From the information gained in terms of historiography, it was necessary to include research on a teacher's personality. The empirical research surveys the frequency and usage of themes and subjects connected with castellology in the lessons of art education by pedagogues at secondary school level in the context of their personal interest. The investigative and the theoretical parts are dedicated specifically to the Czech environment. In both cases foreign settings are only briefly covered.

ABSTRACT: Dissertation builds on the cross-sectional research in the field of art education, proceeding since 1987. The research is based on detection of typical attitudinal, cognitive and communication operations of fifth grade elementary school children expressing the emotion concepts by means of non-figurative painting and during the assessing process of the finished pictures. The main aim of the thesis is to deepen the professional view of the assessment phenomenon in expressively creative tasks. The text supports the production of subject matter didactic meta-language above methodological procedures, which is intuitively applied by teachers in practice. This sort of language should allow to name, substantiate and uphold the tasks specifics in art education. The work endeavors to connect the theoretical studies with the empirical research. There was used a mixed methods design for evaluating the data collected by empirical research. It is analyzing differencies in the understanding of the environmental art term, and its historical bases. The thesis is comparing two different cultures - finish and czech, concerning its way of using the term. The comparison show the problematic issue of the czech prehension of the environmental art term. Didactic section presents a project of the mountain leasure time centre focused on the ecological education through the art activities in the nature.

Tato rigorózní práce upírá svoji pozornost na problematiku neverbální komunikace. Pozornost je zde zaměřena na dvě roviny skutečností - teoretickou a výzkumnou. Ty zde jsou vzájemně porovnávány. V jednotlivých kapitolách teoretické části jsou vymezeny hlavní pojmy a představeny jednotlivé formy této komunikace s odkazy na výtvarné směry a hnutí, kde se tyto prostředky objevovaly. Ve výzkumné části je pomocí konceptové analýzy poukazováno na důležitost a smysl užívání neverbální komunikace a s tím spjatých výtvarných technik v rámci předmětu výtvarná výchova. Jsou zde popsána východiska, strategie, průběh a závěry z výtvarné činnosti realizované v sextě (2. ročníku) Gymnázia, Praha 6, Nad Alejí 1962. Abstract: The dissertation addresses the issue of creativity in art education. The theoretical part of the work first explains the general foundation of the social context, which plays a key role in education focused on the development of creativity. The author outlines the historical roots of the relationship between art education and creativity against the background of emerging interest in creativity in the subject of drawing in the Czechoslovak Republic in the 1920s. Using key historical milestones in the field of art education, the work looks back at the period of "intense interest in art education and creativity" between the 1960s and 1980s in the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic. On the basis of an evaluation of art education experts, the theoretical part of the work highlights the perceived problems that arose in the implementation of creativity training as part of art education. The selected aspects of the self-evaluation conducted by schools on creativity in art education and reflections on the cross-cultural contexts of creativity chart contemporary issues in the given subject. Annotation: Macháčková, Z.: Image, photography as a concept in elementary school education [Diploma thesis] Brno 2012 - Charles University in Prague, Faculty of education, Department of Art, 114 p. Objectives: Based on both recommended and other literature, discuss the evolution of photography (analogue and digital photography, photographic types and genres) and hint at the specifics of photographic production in comparison with classical art media. Discuss the expressive possibilities of manipulated photography (PC photography editing, collage, photomontage, etc.), with attention to applicability of photography in elementary school education. Consider organic inter-discplinary relations between the art class and other classes. Design a didactic project for an art class, based on the Framework Education Programme for Basic Education. The project should employ digital photography as a specific and accessible art medium and should be practically validated. It should focus on experiments and etudes, in which students would use photography as an accessible tool to experience and create art. Results: The proposed project, based on digital photography as a device for art activities, has shown that photography can be practically and successfully applied in elementary school classwork.
